Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
Today we are thankful for one of our community organizations that does lots of good things for lots of Moms…and Dads too. That would be an organization called Let There Be Mom. Let There Be Mom is a nonprofit organization here in Greenville, SC that is dedicated to serving local moms and dads who are battling a life-threatening illness. That chilling description tells you there is a definite need to be served and we’re thankful for groups like this one that step up to tackle these challenges. Their primary mission is to help Moms and Dads preserve their legacies.
This time of year is when they have one of their primary fundraisers. It’s called Dine Out for Mom and there is about 120 local restaurants that will donate 20% of their total sales for today, October 27th ,to Let There Be Mom. That’s a percent of all sales even including carry out and gift cards. They have volunteers at the restaurants that will also offer chances on lots of items that were donated and are being raffled off. It’s nice to get the whole community involved in this effort and we’re thankful for all the humans that help make it a success.
So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

What a loving charity, and for the community to help their own who are in such a tough situation.
That sounds like a terrific organization and a great idea. If you can’t read our blog send us an email and we will try to fix it for you, that goes for all our friends.
That’s a wonderful cause, i’m so glad there are many people and companies getting involved.
I really love being stranded on this blog full of cat love.
I am also a cat lover. I have many cats at home. some of the cats I earned from rescuing them on the streets.
greetings from Indonesia
Yeah Moms (and Dads) need help raing their kids. The economics are bad sometimes.
We loved your thoughtful look in that pic.
Also, thank you for adding Laz’s Birthday to the calendar.
siempre hay que agradecer la ayuda. Te mando un beso.
That sounds like a really good cause, Brian.
That is an amazing charity, doing wonderful and needed work. It makes our hearts happy to know there are humans helping others like that.
Wow! This sounds like a terrific cause! Some groups fill such important roles in local communities helping those in need. Thanks for telling us about it!
It sounds like a good and very thoughtful idea!
Great charity! And don’t you look totally cool laying up there like that.
that is so great and we love this way to help….
Wow, Brian, you nearly have me in (happy) tears over here (yeah, I’m a softie). It just makes my heart smile to hear about organizations like this. I wish I could go to a restaurant for the fundraiser. Is there a way I can donate directly to them? I would love to support this amazing cause. <3
I’m a softie too and have a suggestion. We could purchase raffle tickets. 😀
What a wonderful organization. Truly heartwarming and to be thankful for every day.
What a wonderful organization! That’s what I call a wonderful idea too. Thanks to you for hosting Thankful Thursday Brian…….we wouldn’t miss it for the world….

First time participant, thanks to Messy Mimi!
That sounds liek a wonderful organization. Such a great idea for a blog hop!
What a wonderful organization this is!
Brian that is such a wonderful thing that the restaurants are doing to help people who have special needs. And then that makes it very nice for people like your mom and dad to go out and have a nice dinner also. We are thankful there are organizations like this all about and we should support them.
What a great idea and a wonderful cause. If you are ill, you can really be in a jam without being able to help yourself.
That is a new charity to me and I LOVE it. If I was there I would participate. Mom would, anyway. She helps where and when she can and this would be aother chance to serve.
What a wonderful and somewhat unique organization, obviously serving an important need. Their website was very impressive.
What a wonderful organization. You made me smile this morning.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches to the kitties and my best to mom and dad. ♥
That sounds like a wonderful group and fun fundraiser. Thanks for hosting. Have a great day. XO
That sounds like a great organization and a fun way to raise money for them. We hope some of the people eating at those restaurants bring home some doggie bags for the pups and kits at home.
That’s a wonderful (and much needed!) community fundraiser. Such a great idea!

Charlee: “This sounds like a good cause. Sometimes humans need help, too!”
Wonderful to read about your community-
I am thankful for my sweetheart, our family and our friends. They are priceless and irreplaceable . Hugs to you and all your family!
I enjoyed your post as always. That is a wonderful organization. I like such wonderful kind hearts. Our son-in-law Roger opted to leave the hospital and he is on hospice care. He says he is waiting for their youngest son to return home from their Florida trip . It has been difficult. Prayer is so greatly appreciated. I love seeing all of oyu here. Thank you.
What a great share! I try every day to find thankfuls all around me. Today it is cold and dark and icy snow was falling. The view outside my window is a blanket of white skies. I don’t like to see Fall slip away but eventually each season must change. I am blessed to know you here. Thank you.
What a wonderful organization…and an awesome idea for a fundraiser!!!
xoxo,
Rosy
This sounds like a much-needed organization in every state. The Boomers are racing to the Finish Line and not everyone has at-home help.
Thank you for this place of comfort and sanity!
Well, it’s nothing as important as that organization helping really sick Moms and Dads, but our Mom is thankful she has almost finished cleaning and cooking for the company who’s coming tomorrow!
XOX Xena, Lucy, Chia and Riley
