Welcome to November everyone! Phew, yesterday was a rough day and so was the day before. What was so rough? I spent lots of time avoiding my Halloween costume. It was the famous but dreaded chicken hat. I understand that the dreaded chicken hat is sort of a tradition around these parts but nope, not for me, I was not putting that thing on. Oh, Mama tried, she even tried putting in by me when I was snoozing but my feline radar kicked in and off I went, quick too.
So, now that that holiday is behind us I’m all settled in on the big bed just waiting for someone to snuggle with. I don’t really do this that often but the Mom had just turned down the bed and it sure was inviting. I’m just glad that the next holiday, our U.S. Thanksgiving, doesn’t include costumes. It doesn’t does it??? Surely the Mom wouldn’t try to dress me up as a Pilgrim, or yikes, maybe a turkey? Heavens, I do need that nap.
Have a fun Tabby Tuesday everyone, I’ll see you soon, without any costume! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

You are such a good boy Simon! To warm up the bed for Mommy and Daddy. I’m with you I hope they don’t start dressing up for Thanksgiving.
we have a busy day today with the all saints people who run around our crib… but tomorrow we join you and take a long nap…
Tell mom and dad that they shouldn’t dress you up…you are a cat! Now have a great nap, Simon.
I like a newly turned down bed too Simon. When Mom gets ready for bed at night and she’s brushing her teeth, I hop up on the bed to warm it up for her – just one of those little services I provide to her at no cost. Tee Hee
Hugs, Teddy
Simon I think you would look really good in a great big black Pilgrim hat. Maybe you would like that better than a chicken hat. In the meantime let’s hope you get all those snuggles on a soft bed as you have put up with a lot of attempts to change your clothes
You should be safe for a while now. Hope there were no kids at your door last night as that is aggravating even for us dogs.
Simon, I hope you get a restful snooze and there are NO clothes of any kind in your future!
You are purrfect just as you are even if you do look good in a hat
Purrs, Julie
Ha, good job on escaping the hat! The biped doesn’t do stuff like that–and a good thing too, none of us ever would have put up with it. Okay, maybe angel Chumley, for a moment or two. 😛
I am glad you escaped the chicken hat, but being dressed as a turkey would be worse still!
In my opinion, costumes are never needed. We’re cute just the way we are, right, Simon!
Simon, good job of avoiding that chicken hat!
Mom will keep trying, but you’re not going to let her play dress-up with you. I’m with you on that. I always side with the kitties.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and my best to your wonderful peeps. ♥
Simon I say you did the right thing being MIA yesterday
Hugs Cecilia
Snuggle time is a good thing Simon, but I sure wish I could have seen you in that chicken hat, sigh.
Charlee: “Rest easy, Simon, it’s a long time until Thanksgiving!”
Chaplin: “I might wear a pilgrim hat in exchange for a little piece of turkey. Just putting it out there in case anyone is interested in bribing me.”
Sounds like you are pretty good at evasive maneuvers, Simon! You look beautiful there in that stretched out pose.
Your Thanksgiving may not include costumes, but one of my poor cats is going to wear a turkey hat on their head. 🙂 XO
Whew, all that hat avoiding does sound exhausting! Happy napping!
xoxo,
Sunny
We don’t do costumes either!
Simon…there mught be a surprise for you or for Brian..I would not count that out.
My goodness you had a busy Halloween! Now you can focus on yummy days ahead!
Smart kitty ~ and sweet photo ~ Xo

Looks like a good spot for a nap, especially if the humans join you.
Now you can enjoy a all year to next time.
I think most holidays run the risk of some sort of costume 😉
Well done, Simon. You sure do deserve that nap! Yikes, the only kind of dressing we want for Thanksgiving is the kind that’s eaten!
Uy que tierna foto. Te mando un beso.
I am glad you can relax.
You can be very thankful that Thanksgiving is an easy holiday — just eat! Unless you are the cook, then it’s not so easy.
you better watch out Simon! Turkeys are hard to come by this year….and since you wouldn’t do the chicken……just sayin! Better start hiding NOW!!
It looks so inviting! 😀 And you have the most beautiful eyes.
