Hello everyone, as Brian said yesterday, it’s time to decorate for Christmas and I found me a safe spot to watch what is going on. New things sort of scare me, even older new things, meaning those things that I’ve seen before but it’s been a while. That’s the way it is when the Christmas decorations come out and they’ve been in hiding for almost a year. So you see, right here is the ideal spot.
Besides, I’m a good kitty, I sure wouldn’t climb the tree like Kiki did. In all fairness, she really didn’t climb up that high, just about two feet or so, then she draped herself across the limbs and was going to take a nap. Nope, she didn’t get that nap, she got the Mom instead. I told her it wasn’t a good idea to get in the tree, I really did. Oh, I told Kiki that, not the Mom. But Kiki chose not to listen to me. She’s a slow learner that one, Kiki, not the Mom.
I’ll be right here for a while if you’re looking for me. Catch ya later! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

wow your kiki… the mama smiled… all cats in her furmily where tree climbers… and that events were small cat-astrophes… but super good memories…..
That looks a good and safe spot, Simon.
Flynn was a tree climber too, but he knew if he climbed up through the middle that it wouldn’t fall over.
Simon you found a nice spot that’s out of the way – that’s what I do. Kiki probably had no idea what the heck a tree was doing in the house and just HAD to do a little climb. I guess Mom had other ideas!
Hugs, Teddy
Another happy cat. Waiting for Christmas.
God bless.
Simon you are actually in a better spot to take a nap and hanging over a tree branch. That little Kiki would have quickly found out how uncomfortable that would be. Of course it might have been uncomfortable when the mom got her out of the tree.
Kiki sounds a bit naughty, Simon! We wonder how naughty the kttens will be? We’re glad to hear that you are a good boy although we wsh you weren’t so scared of so many things!
Purrs,
The Chans
The young ones usually have to learn their lessons the hard way!
It was nice of you to warn Kiki, Simon 🙂
By the way, you are beautiful and the tree looks lovely, too!
Just give Kiki a gentle reminder that this is the time Santa gets very serious about his
“naughty and nice” list …
That’s the perfect spot, you’ve got the glow of the tree lights and are safely tucked away!
You have your very own spot with your very own Christmas tree and it looks so cozy and warm and you’ve got the perfect decorations. Also you can tell Kiki to stay out of the tree each time she tries again not that I think she’s going to try again haha
Simon…………..itty bitty kitty siblings think they know it all. You tried…I hope Kiki will learn by example or at least after several (100) times Mom removes her.
Hugs Cecilia
Awww, Simon. The lights are pretty, though, right?
Simon, Kiki should have needed your advice! Keeping an eye on that Christmas tree from a safe distance, just the way you are, that’s the way to go!
That looks like a great spot to stay safe and see what’s going on, Simon!
Charlee: “The corner behind the tree looks like a great hiding spot, Simon!”
Chaplin: “I would so totally climb a tree if we had one.”
Java Bean: “And this is why we do not have one, right?”
Lulu: “Right.”
Simon, you look adorable hidden in the corner under the tree!
Kiki may or may not learn; she really wants to climb, so she may never learn ‘no’, but we’ll hope that she does.
A good place to hide and watch what’s going on. I had to laugh at Kiki being a slow learner.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
Awwww poor wittle Kiki!

lmao about Kiki!!! My first husband was Catholic and I LOVED putting up a tree for him! My Angel Bobo used to go over to that tree and shake it like a pinata. He would shake it until the ornaments would fall off so he could play with them. When I would go to work I would come home and often find the tree had fallen onto the floor. Yep! Angel Bobo! I used to also hang candy canes from our banister railing and I would watch as Bobo would go to the stairs and swat them all down. Bobo… Read more »
That is a nice spot. XO
Looks like a good spot to watch the festivities. Kiki is like a lot of us…has to investigate anything that is new.
Simon, you sure have beautiful furs and eyes, and on top of that, you’re a very, very good boy. We bet Santa will bring you great things that you won’t be afraid of!
That looks like a safe spot! MOL with your clarifications between Kiki and your mom!
Have fun decorating, Simon. I hope I get a tree this year. ~Ernie
Mi Franchesca tambien le tiene miedo a los vambios y a los arboles de navidad. Linda foto, te mando un beso.
Let’s hope Kiki gets the idea sooner rather than later.
You sure are a good kitty. 😀 Be well, gorgeous.
You are a very good boy, Simon. We hope Kiki understands about not climbing the tree from now on.
You’re a good cat. I can’t help sniffing and biting the tree. I am getting yelled at a lot.
I know how much you enjoy your Christmas tree and I’m glad it’s out for you. Hopefully Kiki will tire of tree climbing.
Woow, Kiki in the tree, now that would make for a fun video!!
You’re a good boy, Simon! That looks to be a prety tree.
Years ago, our still young Simba climbed our tree, too…and he broke the limb he was trying to nap on right off…yup, he was a heavy rascal!
You are a wise guy, I mean wise one, Simon.
MOL…we think it’s fun to hang in that tree, like KIki, Simon…MOL…😹Extra Pawkisses🐾😽💞
Amazing photo 😀
