Hello gang, thanks for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
Today I’m thankful for community and neighbors helping neighbors. Several times over the past weeks I’ve mentioned how happy we are to live in a caring neighborhood. We have nice neighbors, on both sides of us and across the street too. It’s nice to have neighbors who wave, call you by name, and help out if the need arises. Actually, most everyone here is really nice and friendly. We really do all look out for each other and this day and age that’s a real blessing.
If the neighbors are going out of town they let us know, the Dad and Mom watch their place and collect their mail for them. It all goes along with being kind and helpful all of the time. It doesn’t take a lot of effort to be nice, you might make someone smile or you might be the only nice thing that happened to them recently. Sometimes you have to build your own community but you really don’t have to do it alone
So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

We do the same with our neighbors, it is very nice to have people nearby who will help or who know they can ask for help. Looking out for each other is a kind and loving thing!
Oh yes! All of our neighbors know that The Hubby is always home, and he keeps an eye on things. We collect mail, make sure packages are safely delivered, and even help with some lawn care here and there.
Siempre es genial agradecer. Te mando un beso.
Neighborhoods and friend networks who help each other are indeed marvelous! We live in that kind of community, too. Nice pic of you Brian, love those whiskers!
It certainly sounds like you live in a wonderfu and caring neighborhood, Brian. Kindness really does make the world go round. XO
I agree. In this day and age, kind people are truly a blessing! I have a nice neighbor right by me. He watches out for me and the boys. In a city as busy and big as Denver, there aren’t a lot of folks who look out for each other, so it’s really nice when people do!
He who enjoys a good neighbor, said the Greeks, has a precious possession :-))
Howdy neighbor!
I am so thankful for my hikes with good frends
that is just great… and we were very surprised how good we are together in hard times …may it be like that forever… for a good hood …..
It’s great having kind and caring neighbors – AND it’s great to BE one for others too!
Hugs, Teddy
We are thankful we have amazing neighbors too.
Lynn is always thankful when she rides her bike and everyone else on the path smiles and waves. She’s gotten to know some of them and that’s been fun too. Me I’m thankful when she comes home and takes care of me. Precious
you are blessed to be in a neighborhood of friendly neighbors. we don’t know a single name of any of our neighbors. I know several that i meet while walking, but they are not on our street. I told Bob it is because we do what they do, no one makes an effort. maybe you will push us into meeting neighbors.
I am thankful for friends! Those who don’t just speak, but do. I haven’t had neighbors that will help or offer to, nor will they accept help when offered. That’s sad. But it is what it is, as the popular saying goes.
Good neighbors truly are a blessing. We are lucky to have good ones too. And they are cat lovers. Thanks for hosting. Have a great day. XO
It’s good to be there for each other, Brian, and a smile is all we need😸Double Pawkissies for all of you🐾😽💞
That’s a great kind of neighborhood to live in. We have a couple of neighbors we can call on if needed, and walking the dogs helps get to know more people. Lots of new, young faces around here!
It is always nice to help out your neighbors!
How lovely to have such wonderful neighbours! We wish our little village was more friendly, sadly it’s not. Villages used to be wonderful communities, but in modern times they aren’t.
It’s great to have good neighbors.
Brian we 100% agree here and are quite thankful for ours too. We are now the old coots on the cul-de-sac (MOLMOL).
Hugs Cecilia
It’s always nice to have friends and neighbors you can count on for help.
Hi! That is a great thing to be thankful for! Before I moved down here to marry Sam, I had wonderful neighbors. They were my parents’ age; and I called them Aunt Marge and Uncle Frank all the time. They always watched out for me and whichever pup I had at the time. When I moved in with hubby, we had great neighbors too; but over the years they’ve moved away. Luckily though we do have two very sweet neighbors next door on one side and on the other side of our other next-door neighbor. The guy in the middle… Read more »
WE agree that good neighbours are worth their weight in gold. We have two sets, one who are wonderful and one who are just plain nasty. We find it sad.
Purrs,
The Chans
Nice neighbors are a treasure, I’m so glad you live in such a friendly place Brian. Enjoy your Thursday!
We Are thankful for your community, too. Ours is similar but in France…everyone helps the elderly and poor and homeless and your blog and hop HELPS US!
I agree that great neighbors are a good thing. We do the same here. Watch out for each other and help when needed. Neighbors are a good thing. I’m glad you have great neighbors too.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a blessed Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around and my best to the peeps. ♥
Yes, having good neighbours is a good thing.
You never know when you may need help and it is nice that they are willing do that. Looking out for each other is pawsome!
Purrs, Julie
Charlee: “It is definitely nicer to be nice than not nice! And it’s pretty easy! Chaplin, take note!”
Chaplin: “Why do I have to take note?”
Charlee: “Do you want a list?”
If everyone was a little nicer, it would be a better place. that’s for sure. 🙂
that is wonderful!!! Many of the people we had a “community” with in our building have moved out. Thankfully we do still have a few that watch out for each other and we watch out for them too!
What a great thankful! We just moved into the same kind of neighborhood! It’s so nice to have a group of caring neighbors surrounding you.
xoxo,
Rosy
I did a thankful Thursday posting this week.I think you will love it.
It’s nice to have caring neighbors.
It’s nice having good neighbors. We are blessed to still have a few on our street that we know and they’d do just about anything for you. The newcomers on either side of us have come and gone a half dozen times in the past ten years. I just gave up trying to meet new people anymore. I’m thankful that I feel nearly 100% like me again. Seasonal allergies had us both whipped pretty bad last month. YAY, to feeling good!!
You are blessed with a wonderful neighborhood ~ sounds wonderful ~ Xo
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days ~

Good neighbors are important!
Good neighbors are truly a blessing from above!
You don’t realize how much of a blessing they are until you live next to less than stellar ones! (Fortunately that isn’t the case for us right now!)
Have a wonderful weekend – mom dad and kitties!
Good neighbors make a happy neighborhood.
Yes, being kind and helpful is something that we all should do, and if more of us did, maybe the world will slowly bwcome nicer, too.
Each small step in the right direction helps.
Amen! We are so blessed here. A gal across the street brought me a hot, fresh slice of pizza for raking their leaves the other evening. That’s one of many examples as I introduce myself to more and more neighbors. I always kept pretty much to myself in the decades we’ve lived here but these strange times have changed me a tiny bit for the better. Best wishes to you and your neighbors.
We only have one family of neighbours. but we look out for each other too.
We envy you your tight-knit neighborhood. Mine is mostly rental houses, so people come and go before I can hardly get to know them. Both my side owner-neighbor couples keep completely to themselves (by choice).
But my neighbors across the street are gems! They are the ones who helped me so much last year when I fell off the extension ladder and we remain good friends. I am VERY thankful for them! ~ Mark
