Today is Veterans Day in the U.S. and we all want to express my heartfelt thanks to our veterans for their dedication and service to our great country. Not only have our veterans protected us and our freedom during times of war, they also look after us during times of peace as well.
While we would prefer that things always be peaceful, the reality is often otherwise. During times of war or crisis our veterans were there. It’s not just the human veterans that I am thankful for today, I am also thankful for the countless animals that served our country too. The horses, dogs, cats, mules, homing pigeons, and others served our country with pride and dignity too.
Please thank a Veteran today, and every single day. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

We thank all our veterans too in the U.K., we have Poppy Day or Remembrance Day. We salute and thank all those brave soldiers and anipals past, present and future for their service and sacrifice.

Thank you for sharing. ~hugs~ My husband is thankful for *his* US Air Force service as it helped him mature and gain focus, just in time for us to meet. 😀 Serving as a computer technician, he comforted his mother during Desert Storm by saying, “What am I going to do? Throw floppy disks at them?” Yes, we’re that old. lol
