Hey gang, it’s sure been mighty cold here in the South, but at least we don’t have it as bad as those in the Upper Midwest and North. That big Winter storm was pretty awful, that’s just way too much snow and ice for anyone. Me? I think I’ll just stay right here in the warm and comfy big bed.
Not that we’re counting or anything, but there is only 83 days until Spring arrives. I know our feral family will be happy when Spring gets here. Fortunately our Dad was able to get their freshly cleaned feral houses loaded up with straw before the cold spell hit. Their heated house has a new heated mat and they have a heated water bowl so they can stay hydrated. They really are enjoying their heated water bowl. Oh, they water isn’t heated, it just keeps the water from freezing over.
Okay, I think it’s time for a nice warm nap. Catch ya later! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Your dad is wonderful with the good life he gives the ferals.
I agree one hundred percent. Blessings, my dears.
Gee Simon…..83 days is a mighty long time to wait BUT we can do it!!
Hugs, Teddy
Simon, we can’t wait for spring either and even though we live up north we don’t like winter. I do realize some people just love it. It is so nice that your dad keeps the feral kitties just fine. Precious
The ferals are lucky to have your dad (and mom), Simon.
We’re SO looking forward to spring too, though ours will come in April, even into May, unless Old Man Winter leaves early!
The ferals are blessed to have your dad to care for them, Simon.
i know the ferals are so happy with their warm straw beds and water to drink. good job dad!! you are looking amazing in the big warm bed
For animals living outside the cold is tough. We love winter and are hoping it is a long one as the snow and cold is a lot of fun for us. You guys can have the warmer weather down south.
Glad to know that feral house is well prepared. Your dad is an angel!
I love hearing about the feral family. XX
Some of us know EXACTLY when it’s the Vernal Equinox, amIright?
It’s only every four years or so, when…*cough cough* our birthdays are NOT on the First Day of Spring.
Simon, in a few days, the temps here in the Midwest will be up well above average, and hopefully all of the white stuff will melt away.
I’m ready for spring too! We just went through the bitter cold in the south thing too, very unsettling! Ferals have a heated house, and in our case the husband kept checking their water bowl every few hours, breaking the ice out, and refilling with water at a moderate temp.
That isn’t long to wait Simon….oh wait, your LQQKING very patient there but at least dad is taking good care of you 🙂
Have a springlesstastic week 👍
I’m counting down the days too. I love spring. It’s my favorite season.
Tell you dad thank you for taking care of the feral kitties. As it should be.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
AMEN to that 83 days….I hope and purr when the hot hazy dog days of July and August are here I will remember the Arctic Freeze of Dec 24 and 25.
Your ferals are lucky kitty cats
Hugs Cecilia
Doll babe I am glad you were inside when that snow/artic storm came through. You are just so adorable. I know those sweet outside feral are happy dad was able to get to them. I am waiting for the snow to melt off so I can go check the feral homes up the hill. I hope my feral babes stayed inside, warm and safe.
You take such good care of he ferals.
Your dad does wonderful things for your feral family. We worry about all the animals out in this cold weather. At least we are supposed to warm up this week so it will melt all the ice coating our driveway.
Thank you for the pawsome update Simon!
I am looking forward to Spring even though Winter has just started. I miss the grass 😉
The ferals are very lucky to come to your place. Your Dad looks after them so well!
Purrs, Julie
I am glad your dad takes such good care of the ferals. XO
Charlee: “Your Dad takes such good care of the ferals! I would hate to be outside in that kind of weather!”
Lulu: “What kind of weather would you prefer to be outside in?”
Charlee: “I think I prefer to just stay inside and lie in sun puddles. Outside is scary. For one thing, it has dogs in it.”
Java Bean: “You mean coyotes?”
Chaplin: “Coyotes, dogs. Potato, po-TAH-to.”
Sweet photo of you dear furperson ~ glad you are cozy and warm ~ Xo
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days

It’s always a worry with the ferals, ours came through alright, we had some insulated areas and a heated house for them … still – you worry! 83 days, come on Spring!
Your feral cats are very lucky to be so well taken care. #1 takes good care of all our birds and when it is very cold, she always leaves the garage door open a crack so anyone who needs shelter can get it as there is straw at the back and an old crate (our garage gives onto our garden, not the street!).
We’re having unseasonably mild weather again here, a stark contrast to what you have been having. We hope it warms up soon for you! We’re glad the days will start to get longer!
Purrs,
The Chans
So happy the ferals are fine through this horrid cold weather. Warm weather on its way! Yay!
Ha!! I just saw that online today and laughed when someone posted it!! It’s actually a longer wait here in Michigan. Spring doesn’t start here til May….wait, that’s wrong. We go straight from winter to summer in June lol……we don’t have Spring
83 days isn’t that bad! How crazy is the weather in Buffalo? I worry about the animals there too 🙁
Wow, Simon! Your Dad is one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I have ever come across. And you are very fortunate to be adopted by him. For all kitties, inside and out, I hope like you do that Spring will be early in 2023.
Uy que linda foto, te mando un beso.
Even way down here Ms. G gave Mr. J up the street who feeds the ferals a heated water bowl, and she put one out for the birds in her yard. It has been very cold for all of us, but i am not complaining as the longer the extra hot summer stays away, the happier i am!
We are so grateful for your Mom and Dad taking such care of those outside kitties. We are in the countdown to Springtime, too!
Simon, I’m counting the days until spring. It can’t get here soon enough ~Ernie
I am counting the days until spring even if the first weeks of spring here aren’t very spring like.
Good to hear the ferals are well taken care of. Your humans are good people!
Spring will be here in no time, Simon, as time flies😺So glad the ferals have your dad to care of them💗Double Pawkisses🐾😽💞
Your dad is the best ever. I know if Pop could, he’d do the same.
