Hey gang, I hear that someone new will be handling the Santa Watch thing this year. I was in charge of it last year, thanks to Brian for giving me that honor. Since I have some experience with that task purrhaps I should share some tips for whoever gets the call to duty. Y’all know I always like to be helpful, at least most of the time.
Santa Watch is serious business. He’s quite the sneaky dude. So, you have to make sure you have all bases covered. That really doesn’t mean bases, unless you happen to live at a ball field. It means you have to watch all the doors and all of the windows all of the time least he’ll sneak right by you. Of course if you have a fireplace that’s a high priority location too.
You really can’t be on duty and take Santa Watch seriously if you are snoozing. Prepare to be awake most of the time, but dark time hours are the important ones. Hopefully these tips will help whoever gets tagged with the task this year, right Kiki?!?! Catch ya later! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

santa watch!!!! yes… that is the most important job… please give us a loud meow when you see him…..
That is very good of you to give Kiki those important tips, Simon.
Those sound like very useful tips, Simon! Will you be sleeping with one eye open, in cas Kiki can’t stay up?
Purrs,
The Chans
Simon you can handle it……with those big eyes you should see the minute Santa arrives!
Hugs, Teddy
We hope Kiki was listening to you–those are terrific tips!
I sleep in the living room Simon where there’s two doors and lots of windows. But when Lynn checks on me at midnight I’m so sound asleep I don’t even know she’s there. I bet I miss Santa Claus coming in.
The cat is waiting with anticipation.
God bless.
Thanks for the tips, Simon :-))
Good luck staying awake as you kitties are professional nappers 🙂 I’m sure Kiki will do a fantastic job and will wake up when she hears the reindeer landing on your roof.
Oh SImon, that makes mom recall all the times she was on Santa watch! It was so exciting and she stayed awake hours and hours….
Oh yes! Santa watch is an important job..
It is mighty hard to stay awake though with the warm
heat and super quietness. I think Santa sprinkles snoozing dust.
Purrs, Julie
We hear that Santa sometimes carries cat treats …
guess what I saw yesterday? a new resturant, did not get a photo. the name? Cafe KiKi!
Beau says to tell you he will never be a good Santa Watcher because he is always snoozing, Santa could walk right in. Unless he wore a postman suit, ha ha
It’s good of you to pass along your Santa Watch experience and knowledge to Kiki, Simon!
That is excellent advice on watching out for Santa, Simon. We know Kiki will do a great job.
Simon your eyes are the best for Santa Watch….you are always on alert
Hugs Cecilia
We’re with Madison on this one. Specially with Kiki still being a bit of a toddler, doubt she’ll be able to keep eyes-wide-open … you know how those young uns like their nappy time. You’d best be the back up cat, Simon.
Santa is a sneaky dude, Simon!
He also is a shapeshifter; you won’t know who is whom on X-Mas Eve.
They are wonderful tips and with you on the job Santa doesn’t stand a chance of fooling you.
Have a purrfect day and week. Scritches all around and my best to your wonderful peeps. ♥
Good advice!
We know that Kiki is very thankful for the wonderful Santa watch tips, Simon!
Simon, I think you AND Kiki should be on Santa Watch together!! After all, don’t YOU like to stay up all night?
Cats are very good at being alert. But they’re also very good at napping. Hmmm, that might be a problem for Santa watch.
Good luck to whoever has to do it, Santa doesn’t come until he knows you’re asleep so that makes it harder.
Those are great tips. 🙂
We’re supposed to be watching for Santa? Hmmm, maybe that’s why our presents are skimpy. (Sorry Mom and Santa.) (We love you Mom and Santa.) (Merry Christmas Mom and Santa).
Hope she can stay awake!
Those are some good tips, Simon. We wonder who’s gonna get the honors this year?
Linda imagen te mando un beso.
I have been on Santa Watch and you’re right, Simon. He is very sneaky! ~Ernie
Whoa, no snoozing. I guess that’s why Santa Water chores are left to the young ‘uns.
Those are very good Tips… of course there is always the High tech way too. Mummy has a camera set up but so far she has only ever caught a reindeer snarfing the carrots xoxo Little Miss Titch
What great Santa Watch advice today Simon!!
xoxo,
Sunny & Rosy

Simon, we are ALL terrible at Santa watch! None of us have been able to catch him in the act so we are just happy to be surprised every Christmas Morning. I bet Kiki does a terrific job! Purrs Marv
Great advice, Simon, we’re always on the watch at night…and on the run too😸Double Pawkisses🐾😽💞
Chaplin: “Two words: Bear traps.”
Charlee: “You don’t think setting bear traps out for Santa might land you on the naughty list?”
Chaplin: “According to Dada I’m already there, so what have I got to lose?”
You look like you are well prepared 😀
