Okay gang, our living room is pretty much back to normal, it really is, believe it or not. The Christmas Tree has been put back in the box for a nice long nap until next year. That means the aluminum foil tree skirt is gone too and one of the chairs is where the tree was. That’s pretty normal too but it does look funny without the Christmas Tree in the corner.
Normal is pretty good though and I like it. Okay, I’m not claiming to be normal, I’m claiming the living room is normal. Oh, and the upstairs bedroom has had the prison bars removed and the newbies are doing their thing where ever they like. They weren’t quite sure about their new found freedom, they are mostly use to eating and using the box up there, but they are gaining in their confidence.
Okay, I think it’s time for a nice snoozy with some of the wonderful toys we got for Christmas. Catch ya later! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

be careful Simon, someone might think you have become the Toy Hog. MOL MOL.. so happy to hear the babies are out of jail.. NORMAL IS GOOD.. and like you, I live in a normal house but am sadly lacking in myself being normal. love you Simon
Hi Simon – we are almost back to normal here too (as normal as we ever are anyway!). Rest of the stuff on the tree not done yesterday will be done today then the tree goes to its’ resting place in the basement for another year! Nice to have things back to order isn’t it!
Hugs, Teddy
It is good to get back to normal, but everything looks so bare until you get used to it again. We take everything down on the 5th (Twelfth Night).
Lynn hasn’t taken down the tree yet so I can still lay under it and look out the window. I do that a couple times a day, because the tree is not very big and it sits on top of a table. But the table is going to disappear when the tree disappears. Then I’ll have to go back to using my window seat.
That sounds like a perfect New Year’s start with Christmas gone and the new little ones getting the run of the house.
We have come to the realisation that we love normal! Excitement is fun but only in small doses!
Purrs,
The Chans
Riley: What IS normal?
Lucy: There is no normal around here. We never know what’s gonna happen next, especially with Chia living here.
The holidays are fun but it is also nice to be back to normal.
That was a pretty quick return to Normal, Simon! My holiday head is still spinning! You look like you’re having a grand time with those toys!
Simon, you are a floof and a half!
You are a big brofur now; you take on the wee ones, and show ’em how things are done.
Simon I say WooHoo for normal too. I’m so happy Double M’s adjusted so well to their freedom. that is because they have great role models in you 3 older siblings.
Hugs Cecilia
We betcha Maxwell and Macy will be joining you for playtime with your toys, Simon!
I always enjoyed putting Christmas out and was equally happy to put it to sleep when the holidays were over. I’m glad the living room is normal. I’m also happy the gate is down and the new kitties can go where they want. Excellent news.
Have a purrfect day and week. Scritches all around and my best to your wonderful peeps. ♥
We’re glad to hear everything is back to normal now. It looks like you got lots of fun toys for Christmas.
We don’t take our stuff down yet but we’re looking forward to “normal” again too.
Simon ~ ‘normal’ looks fun to me ~ great photo of you and glad the new kitties are out and about ~ Xo
Wishing yoiu good health, laughter and love in your days,

Simon, we all here always did miss watching the lights on the tree in the darkened living room but…it was always nice after the first few hours of missing everything, to have normal back.
Yay for things being back to normal. That may not last if the young ones get braver about exploring 😉 MOL!!
I like your sunbeam. It is overcast here, and it may start to drizzle/ rain later.
Oh well, it is cozy indoors 🙂
Purrs, Julie
Enjoy your back to normal snoozy Simon!!
xoxo,
Sunny and Rosy
Every time I look at Simon I think.. He’s so fluffy!!!! I hope he’s a soft and fluffalicious as he looks! (normal is overrated, hee hee)
Ours stays up until Epiphany. Gotta wait for the 3 kings. 🙂
Normal is a very good thing!
Uy que lindos son. Te mando un beso.
Good to hear normal has shown up at your house. Holidays are fun but only for s short time
Things are back to normal here too after some crazy holiday days with all the family here. Eight adults and six teenagers and three happy huskies makes for a lot of fun. It is nice to have it quiet again, but we miss all the peeps too – they would pet us and love on us all the time.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Takiing things down till the next tiem they are needed is a dauting task…we can’t use our cellar…its not the best spot to store anything…*she* prefers to call it our dungeon! Roots keep appearing through the cracks in the boulders that form our foundation…and if there wasn’t a pored concrete floor…a lot newer than the original floor in there…we’d not have anything down there.except the furnace and water heater. So *she* puts off clearing away Christmas till after epiphany! Everything has tt ogo upstairs into the spare room…aka the extra closet, LOL! You look like you’re having fun with all… Read more »
As much as you miss the tree, it’s best that it goes away. That way it stays special.
Enjoy your back to normal!
Charlee: “Simon! It looks like you just finished up a pretty epic toy bender there!”
Chaplin: “He did. It’s called ‘Christmas’.”
Our tree is gone now too, Simon. Y’know without the Christmas tree lights, the house seems darker. ~Ernie
Normal sounds really nice, Simon. We bet Maxwell and Macy will be joining you to enjoy all that normality soon. 🙂
I prefer normal and unchanging
Normal is good, Simon, but only for humans. I wish mine wee normal.
Simon, I bet you miss the tree, but you look super relaxed and easy now.
Wishing your gorgeous familia good vibes, good health and a cheery new 2023.
<3
You’re so adorable. 😀
