Hello everyone, thanks to you all for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
As kitties we like to be warm, warm is great. Today we’re thankful for a working furnace, even though we don’t need it at the moment. It’s going to be in the 80s here, which is unusual for us, especially in February. But it’s nice to have a furnace that works when you need it. But, sometimes it can be rather disruptive.
A furnace disruptive? Well, not the furnace, but the humans that work on such things can be disruptive to some of us who live here. Not me though, I’m fine with stranger humans coming here and so is Kiki. Simon, Seal and the kittens…not so much. Yesterday was our 6 month inspection of our heating system and generator so there was stranger danger in the house and the stranger danger wasn’t overly quiet. But strangers come and strangers go and we’re thankful to have a working furnace just in case we need it. We’re thankful that our whole house generator is ready, willing and able too.
So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Ava’s not a fan of stranger danger, either, Brian. Angels Gracie, Zoe, and Moosey were like you, though. Stranger danger did not bother them. Glad your furnace is all set and working fine for when you need it. Hugs!
Da Boyz have no problem with visitors, but the vacuum is a whole other story!
We are thankful for our furnace…we are back in the deep freeze…this has been a long cold winter and we are ready to have some warm. And I, Marv am the only one who does not hide when we have visitors. Keep being awesome! Purrs Marvelous Marv
Those are important strangers and i’m glad they came, got it done, and all is well.
Right now we are VERY thankful that we have power…from our whole house generator…we lost power in the current ice storm…and its not supposed to be back on till Sunday!! Sheesh!
That generator doesn’t get a lot of use, but wow, when the power goes off, it IS a blessing!
It keeps the furnace alive too…even though we use gas for that, it needs power to work…
We had some 80s today too, but we’ve needed that warm heat lately too, Brian. Our kitties aren’t fond of strangers around, either. Especially noisy ones!
I am so thankful for my granddougther
Server Error in ‘/’ Application. This sentence is often what comes up on the Blog Hop when I Click to insert my photo! And yet the photo is put on the Hop! Weird So glad for your furnace, because winter is still lurking around…
we rarely have visitors… and they know why LOL
Oh I “get” stranger danger – most of the time I have found spots to stay far away from those strangers who visit our house to fix something…..behind the couch is my favorite – it’s by a heating vent, it’s dark, and I’m the only one who can get back there! It’s GOOD to feel safe. Thanks for giving us a chance every week to talk about our THANKFULS.
Hugs, Teddy
It’s my first time here and it’s just lovely to see all the furbabies! Grateful for good memories! Specially on not-so-good days!
Brian, you are braver than I am. But up here where it’s colder we want our furnace to work too so I guess if Lynn has to have somebody come in and look at it I’ll let them. But I’ll be hiding under the bed while they’re doing it. Precious
When those fixer people come into the house our mom and dad put us in separate rooms with the doors closed. One of us is scared of the fixers and the other wants to get up real close and supervise their work. And Dad is concerned the fixers may leave the house door ajar and then we would run out and get lost. So better for us to ride it out in our separate rooms while the fixing is underway. 😺😺
Yikes, you all are having a heat wave! Better make sure the a/c is working too. We are thankful for our furnace every day because we need it here in the winter. Hope your stranger danger is over for a while.
Furnaces are very good things in the winter when it’s cold out! We love our furnace!
Just this moment Blackie and Silver are hiding because someone just ring the door bell!!
I’m very thankful for a good heating source, to. Like you, we won’t need it today. In fact, I didn’t even turn ours on when I got up this morning with the temperature outside reading 67º. We are expected to reach the upper 70s for a high this afternoon. The whole week has been so spring-like. It’s forecast to cool off a bit starting tomorrow but still not bad for the end of February. I’m not complaining. Have a terrific Thursday, furriend!
Mom has the fellers come and inspect the heating system too, Brian. It is always good to try to keep a step ahead of it. Surely that day will come however when repair must be done. Worse still, replacement. But mom saves for that type of thing.
Having heat is good, Brian! I can remember when our furnace broke and we had to get a new one. It was so cold for a whole day!
I’m definitely thankful for my furnace today! We got 25 cm of snow overnight (about 10 inches), and the drifts in my driveway were far deeper than that. I went to shovel a path this morning and was VERY grateful to come back in to a warm house! 😀
You are so lucky to have a whole house generator. Ours has been broken for years and my hubby doesn’t seem in a hurry to get it fixed. I guess he prefers hearing me complain every time the power goes out. Thanks for hosting. Have a great day. XO
80s here too. Way too hot for February. We’re glad your stranger danger is gone.
AMEN things that go bump and bang are bad enough in the house where you can see BUT OMCs under the house.
Hugs Cecilia
We’re also thankful for a working furnace and AC. The furnace is a must for us this time of year especially since the temps will be in the teens overnight tonight and tomorrow. We hope the ice we have stuck to our trees doesn’t make any of them fall on any power lines to our house.
We are glad that you re not in that part of the country that is experiencing extreme cold.
Purrs,
The Chans
We get our heater serviced in November and our air conditioner in May every single year. It’s good to have them working when you need them.
Today we’re thankful that our furniture will be returned. The makeover is done upstairs and we can now have our furniture back. We’re doing the happy dance.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. Scritches to all the kitties and my best to the peeps. ♥
Me, I am very thankful for my sweet furs, both of my beautiful girls! I was loving on Misty yesterday and telling her how thankful I am for her mommy giving her up for me to adopt her and love her.
Lulu: “Aww, strangers are just friends we haven’t met yet, isn’t that right, Chaplin?”
Chaplin: “Yes, and they might have treats.”
Charlee & Java Bean: “NO STRANGERS!!!”
yes a furnace. It’s -2 here at the moment, we need our heater! It was mid 60’sF a couple days ago!
LeeAnna and Milo
Dear Bwian, I am Thankful for my furends and my momma who has a special Dori treat drawer in her office. I am Thankful to have a full belly every day, and I’m Thankful that Wabbit is always locked in his ZenDen when I am pawtrolling my house. I am also Thankful that my momma finally added yoor blog to my blog post. Sadly she’s slow. Love, Dori
You are a brave guardian cat! Glad you supervised the successful strangers. The only strangers that have seen our Pixie is those who see her on the blog. She has a way of disappearing. Have a wonderful week!
Sweet photo of you dear fur baby `
We like to be warm in the winter and cool in the summer ~ grateful for service people and especially grateful for a generator ~
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Sounds like you are ready for any kind of weather Mother Nature sends your way!

Rosy and Sunny
Wow, 80!!! We don’t usually get that high even in summer apart from last year when it was freakishly hot.We are low 50s at the moment but should be nearer mid 30s, so very mild here. I am glad your furnace is in good working order.
Dat are good you gots your furnace fixed but No Bueno on da stranger danger. I am like Simon, Seal and da kittens and am not a fan of anyone buts my peoples being in da house.
That’s way too hot for this time of year!
Yes, heat is good to have when it’s cold. But it’s in the 80’s here today too, and we were panting outside! XOX Xena, Lucy, Chia and Riley
We have floor grates and I sit on the one in the kitchen every morning until I am ear.
We are enjoying that nice warm weather too. Some strangers are furry impurrtant and making sure you can stay nice and warm is a good reason to let those strangers in 🙂 Enjoy the warms!
Keeping warm is very important!
We don’t like strangers either, Brian, but once they’re in, we’re to curious to ignore them😸Glad you’re purrpared when Winter comes again🌞Extra Pawkisses for all of you🐾😽💞
Whoa! they used to inspect our furnace once a year then it was once every 2 years. The condo people will do it but they want a hunnert buck to glance at it. I guess that’s why we have so many CO episodes although thank Bast we haven’t had one in a while.
A little bit of stranger danger can be tolerated I guess if it means a furnace in good and working condition!
Thankful to be in my warm and cozy home this weekend (feeling like a feline!)
We don’t like strangers at BBHQ either, in fact Fudge and Parlsey recommended putting up lookout towers with many munitions! MOL But seriously, we are always thankful when they leave! MOL
