Thankful Thursday Blog Hop:  Surgery and Recovery

thankful thursday blog hop brian 03162023

Hello everyone, thanks to you all for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  I am always thankful to each of you for joining us!  Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!

Today we’re all so very thankful that Maxwell did great with his neuter surgery.  We were all worried about him because of that heart murmur thing.  The Vet took all precautions and everything went well.  We were sure glad to see him when he got back home, especially his sister Macy.

Believe me, we’ll all be thankful when his recovery period is over, really thankful.  Maxwell is having to stay in the playpen except when it’s time to eat or use the litter box.  The cone is removed so he can eat better, then it goes back on.  He can’t come out of the playpen with the cone on because he goes all crazypants running like his tail is on fire bumping into things.  He is really scared of that cone thing, poor guy.  We will be around to visit your blogs just as soon as we can but don’t be surprised if you don’t see us for a couple of more days, Maxwell is not very cooperative with the recovery thing.

So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

We are so happy the surgery went well, but we sure do understand the problems with rest, recovery, and a cone. It will seem like forever but it will come to an end and things will be normal again. Poor little Maxwell.

Momma Kat and Her Bear Cat

We’re so glad Maxwell is okay! He sounds a bit like Bear when he was neutered. It was a bit traumatic for everyone 🙂

Oh poor Baby, so sorry you have to wear that cone thingy. Hope it comes off soon. I know male dogs don’t have to wear it as song as females and hope that is true for cats too. so glad you came through the surgery your bright happy self,

Poor Maxwell. We hope his time of incarceration goes well. Maybe the vet can recommend some kitty tranquilizer to help slow him down.

I’m glad Maxwell did well with his surgery. Great news. Sorry about the cone though. I’ve never had a baby that like that cone. It’s a must though.

Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Poor thing, hope he’ll fully recover soon! I understand his hesitation to the cone, have you tried a surgery onesie? They are just as safe but much more comfortable.

Ooops! Didn’t look like it was going through. But now there are like six. Pixies! We didn’t mean to do that. Did we pixie? Maybe we were a little worried about Maxwell. We’re so glad he is with family in good hands. We’re going to say a purr prayer for him

My dog Frankie’s spaying surgrey saved her life. That’s when, at six months old, we learned she had a malignant tumor in her belly.

Good to hear Maxwell is doing fine except for the cone thing. When Sophie had her surgery she seemed depressed by the cone thing. Once that came off she was her normal silly sweet self.

Glad to hear Maxwell came through things okay. They do often outgrow those early arrhythmias. Soon he’ll be “max well”!

So pleased to hear Maxwell’s surgery went well with no hiccups, we had exactly the same worries with Boris’s recent surgical procedure because of his heart. Those comes are terrible but a necessary evil unfortunately, I’m not sure if they do them for cats but we have a Comfy Cone off Amazon it’s still rigid but much softer and it makes a big difference as being more solid in texture rather than opaque doesn’t reflect the light which we’ve found scared Boris with the hard plastic ones from the vet. Wishing Maxwell a speedy recovery xxx

Cat and Dog Chat With Caren

so glad the surgery went well!!!! Poor Maxwell! I remember when Cody was neutered and he had that cone…he jumped over the baby gate with it on and we called him “Space Boy”, hoping Maxwell is much better now. Sorry I didn’t get by sooner, Levi has been sick with some sort of virus since last Friday…..we had to go back to the Vet this past Thursday. He’s doing fine now but his stool isn’t MOL!!! Sending lots of love!
