Many of our non-USA visitors say they haven’t heard of Dr. Seuss. According to Wikipedia, Dr. Seuss, Theodor Seuss Geisel, March 2, 1904 – September 24, 1991), was an American children’s author and cartoonist. He is known for his work writing and illustrating more than 60 books under the Dr. Seuss. His work includes many of the most popular children’s books of all time, selling over 600 million copies and being translated into more than 20 languages by the time of his death.
We’re thankful for books even though we can’t read,
But a human who can is really all that we need.
Dr. Seuss who creates, the many characters are vast,
The Cat In the Hat and The Grinch are his cast.
Of course there are more, Horton is not who we am,
But we’d probably be happy with Green Eggs and Ham.
Happy Birthday today for Dr. Seuss is our wish,
We’ll party today with our Red Fish, Blue Fish.
Today we are thankful for Dr. Seuss and we celebrate his Birthday. We thank him for getting so many of us interested in reading at such an early age. What are you thankful for today??? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Dr. Seuss Day Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
