Hello everyone, thanks to you all for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
Today we are all thankful for our Dad having a good trip to his Vet. I do tend to mention this every six months and that’s a good thing. We always wonder why when the Dad goes to his human Vet he doesn’t get stuffed in a carrier. He did have to go on a fairly long car ride though. I think the humans don’t like their doctor visits every bit as much as us kitties don’t like the Vet visits.
Anyways, the Dad just went to his Dermatologist for his six month check up and we’re most thankful that he has a good Dermatologist. Our Dad had a battle with melanoma a few years back along with Basal Cell Carcinoma and on this visit the Dermatologist spotted a Basal Cell Carcinoma on the top of his right ear. The Doctor removed it and now it is all gone. We are all most thankful for that! Hey, Dad must be formerly feral, he has an ear tip now.
So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Ear tip! Heeheehee! You are very funny today.
I’m thankful your Dad keeps up with his dermatologist visits, it’s very important. I think he can’t get in a carrier to drive, but since he has to make himself drive to the human vet, that’s punishment enough, right?
We are certainly thankful for awesome Dad Terry having a good human vet visit. That is good that his dermatologist was able to get rid of that carcinoma before there was a bigger problem. XO
I wish you and yours all the best. ~hugs~ And good job! Maintaining humans can be difficult.
Me alegro que estes bien y que la visita al doctor aunque larga no tuvo problemas. Te mando un beso.
Brian that is such good news! It makes us very happy!
That’s awesome to hear, Brian.
We sometimes wonder ourselfs about how Dad deliberately brings himself to his Vet. We mean, we fight it, and he does it on his own.
Maybe its because there is no one who can MAKE him do it so he HAS to make HIMSELF do it..
That is so good everything went well. I also got melanoma a few years back. I am also well now
So glad that Dad had a good check-up at the vet and he didn’t even have to ride in the cat carrier!
that are such wonderful news!!! our dad has to see his vet for that but we hope he gets the same news like your daddy….
Glad to hear you are all healthy!
That’s pretty funny about your Dad being formerly feral!!! We’re glad he had a good vet visit and the latest issue was taken care of quickly.
Purrs,
The Chans
I am glad your dad had a good visit to the human vet. I am also very glad his dermatologist spotted the nasty and dealt with it before it could become a problem. Regular check ups are very important.
Happy for good vet report for your Dad! My Mom is well experienced with melanoma and recurrent melanoma….checkups every 6 months forever and ever. Sending your Dad wishes for continued good reports!!!
Hugs, Teddy
Very interesting. Cats always know when there is a “feral” in their clowder (and we always had our suspicions about him even though he only had two legs and no discernable tail …).
Dear Brian, of course your dad and your mom have to take care of their health so that they’re there to take care of yours. And in a way he did get stuffed into a car, and stuffed into a doctor’s office. If that makes you feel any better too. We’re glad that they found nothing there that needs to be treated again.
So pleased to hear that your dad had a good visit to the Dermatologist. Cars are a bit like pet carriers, especially on long journeys, the only difference being is our humans can get out whenever they feel like it xxx
Brian, I’m glad your dad has a good doctor and caught that right away, removed it. ♥
And I definitely do NOT like going to my doctor…even though I don’t get stuffed in a PTU!
We are glad your dad had a pretty good doctor visit and the one small problem has been taken care of. Our Mom really dislikes going to the human vet too.
Oh we are so glad the people vet got that bad thing off your Dad’s ear. He’s real smart to go get his skin checked so often! We’re thankful our Mom goes every year and so far so good! (She’s after our Dad to start going too!)
I am thankful your dad had a good report from the vet too. 🙂 And I am thankful you host Thankful Thursday. Have a wonderful day. XO
Good doctor visits are a very good thing. I’m glad dad had one. Hubby and I go for our annual physicals the first week of March.
Today I’m thankful that our kitchen is about half done. The quartz guy was out yesterday to measure for the countertops. Moving right along. We’ll be happy when it’s all done.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday and rest of the week. Scritches to all the kitties and my best to your wonderful peeps. ♥

That’s a great thing to be thankful for, your Dad’s clean bill of health!! I’m glad to hear the news, too!!
Brian, you made Mom here laugh at the ear-tip comment you made. Tell your Dad this..though he already knows it I am sure. Mom is redheaded too. She said redheads many times get into a fix because of their fair fair skin. Mom has had things frozen off quite often on her face and now her left arm…the car driver’s side of her body.
And MY mom hate going to her Vet as much as I hate going to mine! At least she doesn’t throw up in the car.
OH CATS your dad formerly Feral…with an ear clip. He is quite devoted to you and your feral family.
So happy all is well
Hugs Cecilia
We’re glad to hear your dad had a good report from his vet. You got us chuckling over him having a tipped ear now. BOL!
Yay for your dad having a good trip to the Dr and getting a good report!
Does he get a treat now?
Purrs, Julie
I hate going to vets too! And yea for a good visit ! Yea!
Your dad is smart to continue check ups with his people Vet. Melanoma is very scary.
Glad your Dad is healthy and all is well!
We are thankful to that your dad has a tipped ear and that they found it and removed it. Bo’s dad has the same thing three belts with melanoma and two with carcinoma and just had his 6 months and passed it with flying colors this time.
Chaplin: “Hooray for a good human vet trip for your dad! It’s important to keep up on these things, or so Mama and Dada always tell us about ourselves …”
Yay for a good Vet visit for your Dad. We’re MOL @ the “formally feral” comment.
The Hubby also claims to be a rescue, so he’s just like your Dad, Brian.
while I am THRILLED about the good news, I can’t stop laughing at the image of you being stuffed into a carrier…….and the fact that you are now feral because you had your “ear tipped”……TOO FUNNY!!!! In all seriousness, I am ECSTATIC that you are ok!!!!!! But…I’m STILL LAUGHING! xoxo
I am glad that your dad survived his trip to the vet. Does he ever get pet scans? Just mentioning it but not gonna tell you a scare story. We love your dad too.
What great news!!! We just love when everyone, both furry and human, have good Vet visits!
xoxo,
Rosy and Sunny
So glad ‘Dad’ had a good ‘Vet visit’ ~ you take good care of him ~ Xo
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Wonderful to hear all is well with your dad.
You’re right – mom says going to the hooman vet isn’t any more fun than us visiting our vet. We’re glad your dad’s ear is all better now.
That is wonderful news about your Dad! Take good care of him!
Glad your Dad’s vet visit went well !
So glad it was taken care of quickly and routinely!
So glad to hear that your dad’s trip to the “vet” went well! Great news. He indeed must have been feral!
Great news, your dad is the glue that holds the tack together. Believe me, you don’t want you dad in a carrier going to or from the vet’s
You have ab eartipped human! Glad he’s all better too!
Epic news for your dad, got to keep an eye on those pesky moles! And yes, dude that was supurr observant of mew to notice that the cat staff don’t get squished into boxes to see their vets, I’m going to raise that at the next BBHQ meeting! Happy Caturday guys, and we hope your weekend is epic!
We’re thankful to hear that great news, Brian, but maybe one of you can drive next time…MOL…Double Pawkisses to all of you🐾😽💞
