Thankful Thursday Blog Hop:  The Ferals Can Eat Again

thankful thursday blog hop brian 05252023

Hello everyone, thanks to you all for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  I am always thankful to each of you for joining us!  Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!

Today we’re thankful that our Feral family can eat again.  You might remember that our Feral family has a problem with a couple of Bluejays out back.  The Feral family buffet is out on our back deck and they do enjoy their mealtimes there.  But the Bluejays were noisy and dive bombing them as they tried to come up on the deck and get something to eat.  The poor ferals would run away but the Bluejays would fly after them.

Then it occurred to the Dad that the deck umbrellas weren’t up.  The Dad had put them down and laid them down due to the steady winds we had around these parts.  So, the Dad put the deck umbrellas back up and waited to see what would happen.  It worked.  The Bluejays must be afraid of the umbrellas because they haven’t returned.  But the ferals have returned and have been enjoying their buffet once again.  We’re thankful that we had a peaceful resolution for our sweet Ferals.

So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

It is kind of funny that cats are afraid of birds, but it is not nice of the birds to be terrorizing the poor kitties. Glad the umbrellas solved the problem.

BRIAN! I had no idea Pepi and Cokie originated the Thankful Thursday blog!!! I just read it on the badge! I will never forget them. You may have seen Mom blog about the golden pram Pepi took Admiral to the Bridge in. It was filled beyond capacity as she had three others accompany her until they got to the Veil. Then Admiral went on by herself. I am so glad that the ferals are able to eat in peace. I was sad that they were being treated so badly by the blue jays. Your dad had a good idea and… Read more »

About the only thing I like about bluejays is their color. They are noise and rude and pigs with wings.

Those Blue Jays can be very loud and mean. We are so happy the problem has been solved and that the ferals are able to get their meals once again. Our best thankful is that Sawyer has gone 3 1/2 weeks without a seizure. We are glad the Ferals can eat in peace again. We have a couple of Blue Jays around, but they dont bother us. We used to have a Brown Thrasher bird that dive-bombed us and TBT years ago, but they seem to have left. Well, TBT hit one with a tennis racket, and that seems to have discouraged them… MOL!

Wing Commander Basil & The B Team
