Hello everyone, thanks to you all for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. I am always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
Today we’re thankful that our Feral family can eat again. You might remember that our Feral family has a problem with a couple of Bluejays out back. The Feral family buffet is out on our back deck and they do enjoy their mealtimes there. But the Bluejays were noisy and dive bombing them as they tried to come up on the deck and get something to eat. The poor ferals would run away but the Bluejays would fly after them.
Then it occurred to the Dad that the deck umbrellas weren’t up. The Dad had put them down and laid them down due to the steady winds we had around these parts. So, the Dad put the deck umbrellas back up and waited to see what would happen. It worked. The Bluejays must be afraid of the umbrellas because they haven’t returned. But the ferals have returned and have been enjoying their buffet once again. We’re thankful that we had a peaceful resolution for our sweet Ferals.
So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

What a terrific solution, and it’s good that the ferals can eat in peace now.
Oh, this made my day. 😀 Best wishes!
That is good news for sure! Love to see ferals get their fill!
I’m so glad that worked out! Your sweet ferals need to eat.
Que ubeno que todo regreso a la normalidad. Te mando un beso.
It’s one of those OOOH OF COURSE!! moments isn’t it? Something such a part of life! Be gone Bluejays!!!! Welcome ferals!!!!
Hooray for your awesome dad! We are glad he put those umbrellas back up so the ferals can eat again. 🙂
That’s good to know, Brian.
Look like your in deep sleep.
Coffee is on, and stay safe.
that is a super idea… your dad is fantabulous… thank you for chasing the birds from mr. hitchcock away…
Brian, that turned out to be a great plan. Now the feral kitties get shade and food and best of all no pesky Blue Jays
It is kind of funny that cats are afraid of birds, but it is not nice of the birds to be terrorizing the poor kitties. Glad the umbrellas solved the problem.
YAY for Dad putting up the umbrellas…..now your feral family can come back to rest and have a meal like you intended! Dad gets an A+ for solving the problem!
Hugs, Teddy
We’re glad your Dad found away to keep everybody from getting hurt 😸😺
we are thankful the umbrellas are working for the buffet. good job Dad…
BRIAN! I had no idea Pepi and Cokie originated the Thankful Thursday blog!!! I just read it on the badge! I will never forget them. You may have seen Mom blog about the golden pram Pepi took Admiral to the Bridge in. It was filled beyond capacity as she had three others accompany her until they got to the Veil. Then Admiral went on by herself. I am so glad that the ferals are able to eat in peace. I was sad that they were being treated so badly by the blue jays. Your dad had a good idea and… Read more »
I am thankful the ferals can eat again too. Thank you for hosting. Have a great day. XO

Yay for your Dad figuring it out. We know the ferals are happy!
Yay for the deck umbrellas!
We’re glad to hear your ferals are safe from those pesty Blue Jays now.
About the only thing I like about bluejays is their color. They are noise and rude and pigs with wings.
Win Win with the umbrella for the ferals dining in the shade without bluejays
Hugs Cecilia
T|hat’s brilliant. Whatever works.
I’m thankful that our kitchen remodel is almost done. It will be wonderful when no workers will return.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday and rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties and my best to the peeps. ♥

blue jays used to dive bomb Cole in our back yard, and no food was involved, just territory! Mean! Glad you found the solution, and all can live in peace now! Milo and LeeAnna
Wow, who knew bluejays didn’t like umbrellas?! That little factoid is being tucked away for later reference, thanks Brian!
Umbrellas!! Imagiine that – who’d a thunk??!
Nice to hear the ferals can have peaceful meals again.
I did it! I joined the hop!
Hurray!!! We are so happy the ferals are able to eat without being harasssed!!!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
Wonderful news, Brian, birdies don’t belong in your porch, ferals do😸Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day to all of you🐾😽💞
We are thankful for friends like you folks!
Glad the umbrellas frightened the blue jays away.
I want to join this blog hop next week.
Those Blue Jays can be very loud and mean. We are so happy the problem has been solved and that the ferals are able to get their meals once again. Our best thankful is that Sawyer has gone 3 1/2 weeks without a seizure. You’ve got a smart Dad, Brian, and we’re happy there was a resolution without a revolution. Uh, I mean, without anyone getting hurt. Wow, I’ve been rhyming too much. XOX Xena
So happy the ferals are eating and love the umbrella set up! You kitties are so lucky to have such a fabulous dada! Happy eating!
Your dad is a genius and I know the ferals everywhere thank him.
We are glad the Ferals can eat in peace again. We have a couple of Blue Jays around, but they dont bother us. We used to have a Brown Thrasher bird that dive-bombed us and TBT years ago, but they seem to have left. Well, TBT hit one with a tennis racket, and that seems to have discouraged them… MOL!
What a great solution for the ferals, and they can now snack in peace, EPIC! We hope mew are having a wonderpurr Friyay and are on track for a totally pawesome weekend!
Yay for patio umbrellas! Glad the ferals get to eat again.
What a wise and wonderful Daddy you have! Food fer all, except those nadfty blue jays, of course.
You have smart and kind human.
that is a brilliant idea!! I am thankful that Roary is TRYING to adjust to his cone……now we have to keep our paws crossed that his condition is a “one and done” deal and not genetic, and that he has a smooth recovery!
Hurray for Ferals getting to eat again. Those %&$# blue jays!
