Hello everyone, how was your weekend? Ours was good and we all helped our Dad celebrate Father’s Day and he had a very nice day. Each of us were as good as we could be too, let’s just leave it at that. Today I have just a few ends that are odd.
First is we might need to practice for a Flood Drill. Our weather guessers are saying that this week we could get around 7-1/2 inches of rain. Our poor ferals sure won’t be happy. But then again, with the track record of our weather guessers, it could turn out to be sunny and bright all week long.
Today is International Box Day and I hope you’re celebrating your boxes. We don’t get boxes any more since Maxwell and Macy eat them. We’re pretty sure they were both goats in a previous life.
Remember a while back I said that the July 4th Holiday will be here before you know it? Well, it’s almost here and the fire works will be going on. Hopefully they won’t scare Maxwell and Macy too much, but we do know they will sure scare our ferals. Maybe it won’t be as bad as we think it will be.
Okay, that’s it for me today, always remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Hope you don’t get all that rain, Brian! Sad to say, we are supposed to have storms all week too. I don’t care for fireworks in neighborhoods either, for the same reasons. We don’t want anything to scare our ferals or our indoor kitties.
Floods? Sounds scary! Hope your weather guessers are wrong!
Boxes? We had no idea they had their own celebratory day but We did get a new box only last week.
Glad you had a nice Father’s Day with your Dad……we didn’t know it was International Box Day….Angel Sammy liked boxes but I – on the other paw – don’t. Weird huh?! Oh well…..Anyway, happy BOX DAY to those who DO love a nice box!

What, first flooding and then fireworks? I don’t know Brian, that’s too much to even wrap our heads around at one time.

Angel Nicki ate boxes too, so I had to take them away pretty quickly. It’s too bad you can’t enjoy your own boxes anymore, Brian, but I know you have LOTS of things/places/toys/trees to enjoy anyway!

I like the new blog header. This will help me to keep your furblings straight. 🙂 We’re in for a rainy week, too. Our forecasters haven’t been super accurate lately, either. However, it’s definitely a wet Monday. Belated happy pops’ day wishes to your dad! I know y’all treated him like a king for the day and things are once again back to proper royal chain again with you felines ruling the castle, right? lol Have an awwwesome, boogietastic Monday!
we are thinking the same thoughts as you are. watching the first two tropical depressions hovering down below, let the hurricane watching begin. it is HOT and HUMID oh my! PLUSt about the 4th, we have idiots accross the street and two other sets of them behind us that not only do fireworks ON the 4th, but for days before and after. a few at a time, enough to make me ANGRY. this year if i can pin point the houses, I am going to report them.

I do not like fireworks either. I wish humans could find a quieter way to celebrate.

Boxes aren’t kept around here. Too much noise with all the scratching and jumping in and out. But Mama’s ears don’t work as well as they used to so maybe someday she will stop complaining about the noise we make.
No boxing of kitties here either … but they can be fun now, right? Maybe the M&M’s will outgrow the chewing part …
Our weather peeps promise us rain and most of the time, we never even see a drop. We dread the 4th with all of those evil fireworks!

Someone…ahem, me…forgot about International Box Day, so we’ll make it up this week.
We expect storms and lots of hoomidditty which will make my momma cranky. Sorry to hear about no boxes at yoor house. But yoo know… cheap beach type towels wrapped around a box and taped into place might work. We love a good cushion in our boxes.
That may be the good part about getting lots of rain….less fireworks. We sure hate those loud sounds too!

Well, we had a little rain this morning but it dried out enough to take the Zs out back for a half-hour play session. Even saw a little bit of sun but it didn’t last for long. Rest of the week? Well, like you said about the weather channel’s track record – I’ll take each minute as it comes. 🤣

Hope the fireworks keep to a minimum. Boxes are another thing I don’t bother with anymore.

Eating boxes? I’m sure they’ll outgrow it (at least i hope so), you might try introducing boxes to them again when they are older.
I’ll pray you get enough rain over July 4 to dampen the fireworks but not flood anyone.
