Hey gang, I hope you are having a terrific Tabby Tuesday? I’m just parked here on the Green Bench watching what’s going on. Truthfully though, it’s more like what’s going by instead of what’s going on. The going by part, as you may have guessed, is Maxwell and Macy. They are always going by the Green Bench on their way somewhere.
One of the things that happens on the weekend, on Sunday, is some brushing and grooming. Brian and I get brushed multiple times each day, because we request it, often loudly. Kiki has recently started enjoying the brushing and Seal does frequently too. But Brian gets a good combing on Sunday to help get rid of some of his thick undercoat and he really enjoys it.
Then there is Maxwell and Macy. They are just getting use to being handled for combing and, I must say, we’re really proud of how they both are learning to accept it. They are almost to the point where they are enjoying it. It really is fun to see them learn to enjoy something new and to not treat the comb as if it were another play toy.
Okay, I’m going to go back and request another brushing. Have a fun Tabby Tuesday everyone. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

It is nice to have a good brushing and get rid of that loose hot and itchy fur. Eric loved the zoom groom and had one of his own. He would rub his face all over it while his dad used the other one on his body.
we love that moments too… we only have a problem with waiting for our turn LOL
I am a huge fan of the brush myself. It’s a ritual around here that when Mom gets up in the morning after she’s made coffee (and Dad is still asleep upstairs) I sit by her recliner and ask for my first brush of the day. Of course I get it and I help out by changing position so she can get ALL of me (which is a chore since I’m huge). I’ll ask a couple more times in the day for another brush as it just feels good – AND it’s good for our skin too right Simon? Happy… Read more »
we hope there is a market for cat hairs, you will be RICH! In his old age, Beau is getting more and more demanding that we brush him, but we just use fingers. he loves to be stroked, and stroked and stroked. even with two humans to brush you, that is a lot of taking turns for 6 kitties
I’m learning to thoroughly enjoy brushings, especially with the warmer weather and increased shedding.
Simon, I’ve been asking for extra brushes for the last couple of weeks. Now instead of just waiting till 5:00 sometimes I get one at 3:00. Precious
😺😸
Bert isn’t fond of brushing, but he doesn’t fight it and probably finds that it feels good. That is a lot of brushing to be done there at your house.
I love that combing too!
Simon, none of The Eastside Cats are fond of brushies, and someone…*cough, cough* keeps buying new combs and such to find the one that will make them happy.
Jack likes being brushed and Sophie is learning to but she is still young and wiggly.
Sounds like Maxwell and Macy are such busy cats, always on the go!
That bench looks like a great place to hang out and watch the youngsters running back and forth.
Awesome that you guys all enjoy brushing!
Simon, I love getting brushed and mum loves brushing me 🙂
It feels SO good. I am sure Maxwell and Macy will start liking it as well 🙂
Purrs, Julie
Art our end, it is Queen Tama who loves brushies with the Zoom Groom and loudly requests them.
Purrs,
The Chans
You have the best seat in the house ~ busy brushings and grooming ~ your eyes are gorgeous ~ Xo

Charlee: “It’s good you’ve got a place out of the way where you can sit and relax and keep an eye on things! Those youngsters always have places to go and things to do. I don’t think Oona ever sits still.”
Oona: “That’s because Oona has places to go and people to see.”
Charlee: “Where have you got to go? Who have you got to see?”
Oona: “PLACES AND PEOPLE!!!”
Great vantage point for household surveillance, Simon! Sounds like alot going on for you to take note of, with those youngsters there!
And that is why you always look so handsome and are perfectly groomed, Simon.
It’s good to have a good brushing. It’s good that the new family members are warming up to brushing. Adorable.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
What good kitties you are all! Enjoy your brushies Simon.
awwww so awdorable!
We also love a good brushing…and actual enjoy going to our groomer, Miss Sheri!
xoxo,
Rosy and Sunny
Brushies sure do feel good, doesn’t it Simon? 🙂
I am glad so many of you like brushies. I bet you all get less furballs. XO
Brushing is a favorite activity around here too 🙂
Your parents are patient and gentle teachers and the new little ones will learn to enjoy it, too. It’s just a matter of time.
I can’t stand to be brushed. I am very sensitive.
I like getting brushed too..though I don’t get it as often as I want. Maybe I should ask for it more. ~Ernie
Awww…
I like good brushing. I recall 100 strokes with brush, though the hair.
Coffee is on and stay safe.
Genial foto siempre hay que cuidar a nuestras mascotas. Te mando un beso.
Marley: I’m the only here who really enjoys being brushed. And I sure love the wirey brush. It really gets my thick furs cleaned! TBT gets 4-5 packed brushfuls every time.
We like getting berushed, too. Petcretary uses a furminator on Benji…and gets out tons of loose furs…I just get a small brush, because, my furs are so short.
We’re very proud of your Mom and Dad for brushing y’all like that, and of all y’all for loving it! That’s pretty rare when it comes to cats, and some dogs, too! XOX Xena, Lucy, Chia and Riley
Oh, we can picture it, so much fun😸Granny tried that on us too, but we have so many other things to do, that we never stand still😸Double Pawkisses for all of you🐾😽💞
Some of us really enjoy being brushed, others not so much. Sawyer has one of those super thick undercoats. Unfortunately the only time Mom can brush him is when he is “out” after a seizure. Simon, we always enjoy seeing you and your gorgeous, inquisitive green eyes.
Boy, all of you kitties get the royal treatment! I’m glad Maxwell and Macy are learning that getting brushed off can be a good thing. Seal looks marvelous in her picture today. She looks well groomed and happy, with her large green eyes open wide.
