Mancat Monday News of Note with Brian

mancat monday brian 08212023

Hello everyone, how was your weekend?  I hope it was a good one.  We all hope that our friends in California are okay and that Hurricane Hilary didn’t mess with them too much.  We know how scary those big storms can be and we know everyone will be happy when this one moves on out.

Anyways, today I have a several news of note items to share with you.  First off, Kiki had bloodwork done when she was at the Vet the other day.  I’m happy to report that the results of her bloodwork were purrfect and that does make us all very happy.  It’s always great to get good news from the Vet place.

Then, Maxwell seems to be doing okay.  He has been taking his medicine like a real champ.  The Dad has a hard time catching him sometimes, but once he does Maxwell takes it just fine.  Hopefully those meds will fix him right up.  He sure is running around and playing like crazy.

Tomorrow is Take Your Cat to the Vet Day.  Kiki, Maxwell and I are very glad that we were ahead of schedule on this one and we don’t have to worry about it.  What about you?  Do you have any plans to go to the Vet tomorrow?  Maybe you do but you’re just not aware of it yet MOL!

On a sad note, one of our longest long time ferals disappeared and has not returned. She was always hanging out on our deck or in the yard.  She had been with us for at least 10 years.  Wanda, we miss you girl and will always remember that sweet face looking at us.

Okay, that is it for today.  Y’all take care and always remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Memories of Eric and Flynn

Glad to hear Kiki’s blood work was good and that Maxwell is doing okay with his meds. I am sorry one of your long time ferals has disappeared.

We’re glad the vet visits are over and all is well……but we’re also sad that Wanda no longer visits you – the outside ferals are as much a part of the family as the “insiders”.

Hugs, Teddy

YAY for Good Doctor news … little-miss-june (hush hush or she’ll run and hide where I can’t get her) actually has her annual Good Doctor visit on “the day” … hope she gets good news like y’all did!

Dear Brian, very good news for all the kitties indoors. We’re very sorry to hear about Wanda. You know she had as good a life as your Mom and Dad could have given her outside.

That is so sad that Wanda is MIA. We really hope she happens to show up again, but if she doesn’t it should make you feel good that she had such a great place for food, safety, and shelter for so long.

We are so sorry to hear you haven’t seen Wanda in awhile. Ten years is a long time for a feral to hang out. No wonder she did with such a wonderful outdoor home you provided for her.

I am truly sorry about Wanda. It hurts our heart and as you said, they are always remembered with love.
Kiki, wonderful news for you and Maxwell, keep trying to cooperate with Dad for the meds.

so sorry for Wanda and for you all missing her. Very happy on the good report from the vet. Until I met your feline family and a couple of others in blog land I had no idea cats were supposed to go to the vet regularly like dogs do. Bob said he never took a dog or a cat to the vet. he was born in 1936 and his dad raised hunting dogs, beagles and trained and sold them. he did all their shots. Until Beau and Big Boy we took the dogs once a year for rabies and the… Read more »

Brian, Thanks for sharing that your furblings earned flying colors for good checkups! That’s awesome. I’m sorry Wanda is missing. Maybe, she’ll find her way back and is okay. We have some bad news on this end. My daddy had a heart attack on Saturday. He’s 85. They did the heart cauterization yesterday. There’s massive damage to his heart and he’s not doing too well. They’re talking about the possibility of putting him in a coma because they had to place him on a ventilator last night because he can’t get enough oxygen due to the black lungs disease. Please… Read more »

We had a nice weekend too. The storm didn’t do much here. Clouds, windy and a bit of rain. We were not in its path.

Glad the vet visit went well. Being seen by the vet is a good thing.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥

Charlee: “Yay for the good news from the vet! That is what we like to hear!”
Chaplin: “Hilary has come and gone by our house and we didn’t have any flooding or damage. We didn’t feel the earthquake, either!”
Oona: “Oona felt it, because Oona is a ninja and highly sensitive to vibrations!”
Chaplin: “Really, Oona?”
Oona: “No, not really.”
Charlee: “We’re sorry to hear about your feral Wanda though. Maybe she is just visiting somewhere else and will come back later, but if not, we know she appreciated all the care you gave her outside.”

Sorry o hear about Wanda, one of your ferals. Glad that Kiki’s labs were good and that Maxwell is feeling so much better.

We have all those affectedby storms, floods and fires…and earthquakes in our thoughts.

Happy Kiki and Maxwell are doing well. I’m sorry Wanda is MIA and hope she returns soon. Our Bridget may be on her last legs at 17 years old with kidney issues. Now that our garden is put to bed and the grandies have gone back to school, I hope to have time to visit more often. X

I’m sad to read about a lost feral. But I’m thrilled that recent vet visits presented good news. Your humans are the best in caregiving.

I am so sad about your loss of Wanda. The life of a feral, even one as well cared for as yours are, is not easy.

Hooray for good vet visits! I hope everyone stays good and healthy.

We are glad Kiki got those good resulats, and that Maxwell seems to be doing well, too. And Brian, that’s awesome that you three did not have to go to the vet. We’re so sad about Wanda. We hope that by some miracle she returns. But thank you, regardless, for showing her love and care all these years. XO
