Today we’re thankful for something that happens every once in a while here, ant that is The Great Scratcher Refresh. Yes, even at my advanced age I still use the scratchers, not daily, but I do uses them. The others use them multiple times each day. Let me tell you too that our scratchers sure take a beating…or scratching, and the one in my photo today is fairly new MOL! When we’re done with them they are completely done and they look like they have been put through a shredder, because they have.
So, the Dad refreshes them from time to time, which in our world means he buys us new ones. We have them everywhere, in the living room scattered about, even behind chairs and in all the corners too. We have them in the dining room, under chairs and by doors. We have them upstairs too, in the bedroom and in the music room. The new scratchers make us happy, thanks Dad.

looks like dad has slipped a reversible scratcher in and you never know it is not NEW! with so many of you in one home, the need for multiples is multiplied for sure
Brian, a new scratcher box and I also see a great box of toys. All 5 of you have
great mom and dad who remember to keep all the good stuff going.
We wonder if having all those scratchers is also to keep the furniture and curtains from getting all torn up from your beautiful sharp claws!
Our cats used to rip them apart with time too. It is great you get new ones to keep the furniture and stuff safe.
I think that’s great Brian! MOm has a few just for me, but it might not hurt to have a few more! I wish I would save mom the grief and quit pulling on the carpet.

The man who invented the refresher is s genius.
Sometimes Jack will use a scratcher but his favorite thing to scratch is the rug I have attached to the bed tower he likes. Sophie likes the rugs on the floor which doesn’t make me happy but it is better than scratching the furniture.
The Dad got us a flat log thing with a loop carpet covering. When we walk by sometimes we give it a good scratch. And sometimes we don’t. 😺😸

Oh guys, we love those scratchers too, there’s nothing like the feeling of shredding the fluffers! MOL We’ve asked the P.A. to see if she can make us a tunnel one, so we can scratch at all angles! MOL (This maybe the new Halloween Crafting with Cats Project!) Wishing mew all a supurr furbulous weekend!
New scratchers are always fun to break in. Mom got in trouble a couple weeks ago when she put one of our huge scratchers in the recycle bin and the lid didn’t close. The recycle man left a naughty note on the bin saying the bin was too full.
