Oh, hello everyone, I’m not going to do a typical Sister Saturday post today. I know you all are wondering how Brian is doing. So, I’m going to try and fill you in on what I know. Brian is not doing overly good, although he “might” be a bit better than he was. There are times when we can hear him breathing across the room, but there are times that we can’t.
He’s been taking his antibiotics like a champ, but he has always been good about taking his meds. The Vet added in Gabapentin to help him take the edge off since he is being pretty vocal, which is pretty unusual for him. The antibiotics are causing him to be constipated which only adds to his discomfort.
The Dad is keeping in contact with his Vet. So, that’s where we are at as of now. Please keep those purrs and prayers coming, he really needs them. If there are any other changes one of us will let you know. I do know he appreciates the outpouring of support. Oh, Dad did get me my new scratcher box.

Pleased to hear that things have levelled off for Brian but it is cruel how the fix for one thing sets off something else. Have fingers crossed for a good revovery. TM

We are glad you got a new scratcher box Seal. Thanks for updating us on Brian, Scylla is very worried. We are sending our very best healing purrs to him. If he can have chicken broth it might help with the constipation as staying hydrated is helpful with that issue.

This bweaks my heart to hear Bwian is doing poorly. Maybe a probiotic like Humarian makes will help him not be constipated. That just adds to his misery. I do feel for what he’s going through. When I was born I got feline herpes from my birth momma and it causes respiratory issues. We all have them, especially here in FloryDa. We take prednisolone as needed. But it’s hekk, blowing our noses a lot. Love yoo, sweet Bwian. Dori

I’m praying he feels better soon. I know he can’t take regular anesthesia for having bad teeth removed, could they do the “twilight sleep” anesthesia on him, or does that not work on cats?
