Hey gang, what y’all doing this Halloween? I had a discussion with my pal Santa Bear here and we both decided we’ll just skip this holiday. We’re both not into ghouls and goblins knocking at the door. I’m pretty sure the others wouldn’t mind MOL!
I suggested to Santa Bear that we just skip Halloween and go right to Christmas. But Santa Bear reminded me about Thanksgiving AND turkey. So, we do need to get on to Thanksgiving. But I know Christmas is coming. How do I know? The Mom and Dad went out and bought a new Christmas Tree and I’ve been sleeping on the box it came it. I don’t know exactly when the Christmas Tree will go up but the Mom said it would be soon so that Maxwell and Macy can have some practice time learning to NOT climb it.
Okay Pet Bloggers, don’t forget to leave your daily link over at The Cat Blogosphere for a chance to grab an entry for the end of the month drawing. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

we agree with you… we try to eat all door knockers, but we are in for the food and the treats LOL
great idea for a practice run with the newbies! all the stores are full of Christmas so you are trending with the public.
Simon, I’ll let you in on a secret: I could skip Halloween too! I hope it’s not too scary tonight.
As for a new tree, maybe your humans need two, one for all of you and one for them! 😁
Well I think you all should be prepared for some Trick or Treaters anyway because they probably don’t know you all are “skipping” Trick or Treat this year…..!! Whatever you do, don’t make ghosts and goblins angry…….haha
Hugs, Teddy
We don’t do Halloween around here, and we have no Thanksgiving around here, so we will go straight to Christmas, although our tree never goes up before December.
Purrs,
The Chans
Simon, you are too funny, thinking that those two will practice not climbing a Christmas tree. We wish everybody good luck with that. It’s so bitterly cold up here today that the little ghost and goblins when they knock on the doors for treats might just get a cup of hot chocolate.
I think that Thanksgiving is a whole lot more yummy than Halloween and Christmas is much more fun!
We don’t do anything Christmas until after turkey day. It’s too busy to get anything done before then anyway. Thankfully, we have cold and snow today, so kids won’t want to be out much and we will just watch tv in the dark anyway. We are tired of the constant doorbell, so we don’t do candy anymore. Stay safe and don’t be scared.
We don’t celebrate Halloween here…so no worries 🙂
Well SImon, that is an excellent idea but Santa Bear was right Have to wait awhile.
Oh no Halloween is so fun. I was a witch at work to day in full kostume
Good idea, taking a pass on Halloween, Simon!
You’ll be in the closet, or UTB?
I’m not sure about heading straight into Christmas, Simon. Though having the tree in the house is always fun.
Simon,
I’m with you on skipping Halloween totally and going to Thanksgiving but every season has its place so we’ll get through the night with bigger, brighter holiday celebrations to come!
You and Santa Bear are so cute hanging out together, Simon. We’re lucky that we don’t get any Trick-or-Treaters because of our long dark driveway.
You made me giggle. Happy err… Autumn, Simon!
Simon I say I agree. Let’s get to the Jolly and not the scary
Hugs Cecilia
You and Santa Bear are very smart! We haven’t seen any trick-or-treaters in years because the road is always busy and there are no sidewalks. Your Mom is very smart, too, to put the Christmas tree up early to teach the M Kids NOT to climb on it!
OH Boy ~ you are racing ahead with the holidays ~ Sweet photo of you with Santa Bear ~ Xo
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

Java Bean: “Ayyy, I too would be down with skipping Halloween. I like treats, but we’re not allowed to have chocolate, and all those people coming to the door seems kind of scary if you ask me.”
Oona: “Bring on the trick-or-treaters. Oona is not afraid!”
We’re sort of skipping too. I doubt we’ll get trick or treaters which is good since we have no candy. The hubs will probably find us an old Frankenstein movie for tonight.
We’re going to hide tonight. Lights off and shutters closed. We’re good with that. We don’t like all the doorbell ringing either. I get it Simon.
We bought a new Christmas tree this year too, but it won’t go up until after Thanksgiving. I can see why your peeps want it up early though.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥
Happy Halloween, Simon – er, how ’bout just “Mornin’, Simon” ! I’d love to see a pic of you sleeping on the Christmas tree box. Does Santa Bear join you?
OMG Simon you are like all of the retail establishments, rushing Christmas! Nooooooo!! xoxo
October sure went fast, we can’t believe Christmas is right around the corner!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
Christmas is on the way … already?! Goodness, where did this year go already Simon?
We don’t do Halloween here either Simon, so we will wait for Christmas.
Happy Halloween.
I am hanging out with mum and auntie L too see if scary “things” come knocking at our 🚪.Happy Halloween 🎃
Purrs Julie
MOL my first Christmas with Mudpie I had a naked tree sitting in the living room for about two weeks before I dared to decorate it. She never did touch it though!
We skip Halloween here, too. ❤️
Santa Bear is right, Simon. There’s some pretty decent stuff between now and Christmas! How nice that Macy and Maxwell will get some practice not climbing the tree. 🙂
Lot of celebrating for the next three months.
Coffee is on
Happy Halloween! Now onto Thanksgiving. XO
We wouldn’t miss skipping Halloween, but Thanksgiving and the turkey definitely can’t be missed. Then it’s time for lots of fairy lights and the indoor tree!
I tried skipping Halloween gut it found me.
Uy lindo oso. Feliz halloween. Te mando un beso.
We don’t like all those ghostly things eiother, Simon. But at least where we live there isn’t much doorbell ringing…living away from the town has some advantages, LOL!
We can’t wait for the holiday season to start!
Halloween isnt our favrit either. Load doorbells, noisy kids. We just hide.
Simon, you’ll need to set a good example for Maxwell and Macy this Christmas. We have grandies that LUV Halloween! And, it is kinda fun to help them with their costumes. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving becomes a bump in the road to Christmas but it is important to make sure we have a heart of gratitude…..and Thanksgiving pie!
We don’t celebrate Halloween either, Simon, we like the Santa Bear, he looks more furriendly than all the scary monsters👻Double Pawkisses just for you sweet boy🐾😽💞
We’re all ok with skipping Halloween every year, too. This year Mom filled a bowl with candy, set it on the front porch, turned on the porch light, and let the little monsters help themselves. We watched a show on the TV and paid them no attention, except for Chia who acted like she’d never seen a ballerina, or a witch, or a walking pumpkin before.
Halloween isn’t our favorite holiday. Dad gave out treats on the front porch to keep the kids from ringing the doorbell. Mom and Dad won’t be home for turkey day so none for us, as usual.
