Hello everyone, thanks to you all for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  I am always thankful to each of you for joining us!  Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!

I’ll be honest with you dear friends, I’m not doing good at all.  After my emergency visit for a bad cough I’ve become increasingly congested.  The Dad took me to our Vet on Monday.  She examined my records and re-ran one bloodwork good and sure enough I have a bad infection and it is likely from A BAD TOOTH or BAD TEETH.  At this point a DENTAL EXTRACTION ISN’T ON THE TABLE because the last time I had anesthesia I stopped breathing and the Vet had to resuscitate me.  Trying anesthesia again is a last resort option.

At least there is a plan and I’m most thankful for that. Right now I’m on two powerful antibiotics to try and get the infection under control.  I’m also on Cerenia nose drops and Saline nasal spray along with warm and cool humidifiers to try and break up the congestion, it’s difficult to breath.

But, like I said, at least there is a plan and I’m most thankful for the attentive Vet care. So, what are you thankful for today?   10. Poor Brian. We sure don’t like you feeling so crummy. When Lita couldn’t breathe, we’d take her in the bathroom and I had a shower. Seemed to help a little. We love you! <3

  55. Brian, we are sending you all of our purrs, prayers, and well wishes! Pup Astrid is sending her woofs as well. Your case reminds me of a kitty who once visited the cat clinic where I used to work. He was so congested we ended up having to use children’s Little Noses decongestant drops on him in order to help him breathe. He made a good recovery, and we hope you also get to feeling much better very, very soon!

  61. unknown to us, cole (on tick drops) was bitten and got rocky mountain spotted fever. He was on death’s door, but 4 months of antibiotics saved him. The vets wanted to stop, I said no. He was left weaker but alive. I wish you health, Brian. You have steadfast pawrents.

  72. Sweet Brian. We are sending all the love and purrs we can your way. We are very familiar with what you’re going through at our house and we use a nebulizer with saline solution to help with the breathing. We bought a nebulizer on Amazon and then it’s hooked up to a cat carrier that we cover with towels to provide the care needed. Not saying the cats like it, but it does help. xoxox

  82. Brian, it hurts our hearts that you are unwell with tooth issues. It is tough as kitties age, and anesthesia is not an option. It was the same with Misty May.
