Thankful Thursday Blog Hop:  Good Homes and Curly Ears with Kiki

thankful thursday blog hop kiki 10262023

Hello everyone, it’s me Kiki and I get to do the Thankful Thursday post this week. Thanks to you all for stopping by for Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  We are always thankful to each of you for joining us!  Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!

So, what am I thankful for?  Well, a couple of things come to mind.  First and foremost I’m thankful that I found such a loving home.  As you all know, I was a walk on, abandoned when my first peeps moved away without me.  I was wondering around and stumbled upon the food buffet outside.  The kind ferals let me eat and then I made friends with the food dude, who is now my Dad.  And the rest is history!

Then I’m thankful for my asthma treatment and my cute ears.  Yes, I have asthma too.  Anyways,  I don’t do well on other types of prednisolone so I get the transdermal kind.  The Dad rubs it in my ears, alternating ears, every day.  One of the side effects of the transdermal thing that some kitties get is ear tips curling forward.  I got me those curly ears.  Oh, it doesn’t hurt and it is irreversible, but they don’t bother me at all.

So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

  1. Kiki, your curling ear tip just makes you even more adorable. :-)

(On another note: What is it with feline asthma? Nicki had it, and so many cats seem to have it now. Is it our climate change triggering a genetic predisposition? Something else? Anyone know the latest research on feline asthma?)

  2. we are thankful for your lovely curly ears and for the dad who rubs the meds on them and makes them curl. whatever works, that is much better than meds to swallow. I just today noticed you have rings around you legs, kind of like a racoon tail does. you are beatiful and I am grateful you fould your Dad Dude to let you in the best home ever, how anyone could drive away and leave you makes me so upset

  3. We are glad you moved in and can get that restful couch time.
And thanks for the meds ear tip we will pass it on to our Mom since one of us gets those meds for their tummy and it might be nice to try getting it in the ear. 😺😸

  4. You sure did land yourself a wonderful home. Your loser, previous owners really missed out leaving a sweet girl like you behind. Bummer you deal with asthma, but it sounds like you have it all under control.

  5. I am glad you found such a loving home. Your ears are adorable. Thank you for hosting. Have a great day. XO

  8. I’m thankful that you and your Dad found each other, and we are able to see your beautiful face framed by those curly ears. You couldn’t have found a better home.

  9. You found a wonderful forever home. I know your peeps will take great care of you. They are such special folks.

I’m thankful that we can now pet Lil’ Bit. Progress. It’s here more than not and we’re happy about that.

Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday and rest of the week. Scritches all around and my best to your peeps. ♥

  10. Mornin’, precious Kiki – I’m so happy that you have a loving home and your Dad and Mom take wonderful care of you and your siblings. I’m thankful for many things, including our ferals.

  11. Kiki, curly ears. That’s a first I’ve heard of such a thing. I barely can tell you have it, though. You’re cute, so don’t worry about it. As for me, I have plenty to be thankful for like the two weeks off from everything with DH. That was super nice! Of course, I’m very thankful for the basics of life – food, shelter, and clothing. I’m thankful DH has a good job with a good company and that he gets to work from home. I love having him around the house all day! I’m thankful for good friends like you, your furblings, your mom & dad, and a lot of other good friends. Who would’ve thought blogging would bring about such wonderful friendships?

  12. You were a smart girl Kiki to stumble into the “food dude”!! (that cracked me up!) I’m so sorry you have asthma sweet girl, but I know your Dad is on top of it!! Sending lots of love to you and your adorable self! (Curly ears and all!) xoxo

  13. We are sorry about the asthma, Kiki, but we are glad you get such good care from the food Guy and his lady helper. We like those curly ears. One of the human grands has really bad asthma, but he too gets good care from his peeps. We don’t think he gets his ears rubbed though:)

BTW, we love the markings on your stripey legs.

  14. You have cute curly ears, Kiki. Our Mom moved into a rental house years ago that came complete with a cat. She took care of the cat for the short time she was there, but when she tried to put him in the car when she was moving out, she found out why the cat came with the house.

  15. Kiki you are so blessed to have stumbled on such a fantastic home and pawsome Dad, it really makes Thankful Thursday extra special and your curly ears are very cute

  16. We think your curly ear tips make you extra adorable. Mom tried to get one of Sawyer’s meds transdermal, but when the formulary pharmacy said it would be $360 a month, she had to decline. With so many of us to care for, that’s a bit out of our parents’ budget. Mom apologizes for not posting for Thankful Thursday. She is thankful she and Dad got their RSV vaccines, and they now are going into winter with all their vaccines.
