Hello everyone, thanks to you all for stopping by for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. We are always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!
This might be a rather long post today. As you know, our dear Brian departed for his Rainbow Bridge on Monday, October 9th. Our world is different here at Brian’s Home as we struggle a bit to find our new normal. Us kitties want you to know that the blog will always be Brian’s Home Blog and that his most important Thankful Thursday Blog Hop will continue as it was Brian’s pride and joy. All of us will take turns posting daily as we always have.
Before we start, we want to say thank you to Dr. Schmitz, Brooke and the entire staff at Five Forks Animal Hospital for their compassion, caring, professionalism and kindness with Brian and with our Mom and Dad too. They were totally and completely there when we needed them.
We want to thank all of you for the outpouring of love and many of the sweetest memories of our dear Brian. Your messages touched all of our hearts and many tears came along as we read each of them. We also want to thank each of you that included news of Brian’s passing on your own blogs, that was so very thoughtful. Our Dad will try to thank each of you personally but it will likely take a little while.
We want to thank Ann from Zoolatry for the beautiful images and the new header for the blog. We also want to thank Ingrid from Meezer’s Mews and Terrieristical Woofs for the beautiful memorial to Brian.
Now we’d each like to say just a few words…
SIMON: I’m thankful that Brian let me live here and I was always thankful for his quiet strength as he checked out all visitors to make sure they were safe. I will sure miss the sense of security Brian provided.
SEAL: I’m really thankful that Brian welcomed me into his home and that he was kind and gentle with me from day one. Inside was all so new to me and Brian sure made it easy. Brian would often head-butt me, I will miss that.
KIKI: I was a walk-on family member having been left behind from my previous family. I couldn’t believe how Brian said “come on in and make yourself at home”, which I did. I will never, ever forget that kindness as I finally found my real forever home. Thank you Brian.
MAXWELL: I came in as a wee kitten I do remember seeing this great big guy looking at me and I remember thinking gosh he looks friendly. Indeed he was and he was the best big brother, always making sure I understood all the mini-mancat rules.
MACY: As you know, I came in as a wee kitten with Maxwell. We were both really scared, but our fear lessened when we came downstairs and were put in our playpen. Brian came over and laid down up against the playpen and watched us for hours. I knew we were safe and that he would watch out for us. Thank you Brian for welcoming us home.
MOM & DAD: Mom and Dad would like to thank Brian for being who you always saw on his blog. Brian was kind, caring, happy and above all he was calm. Brian, Mom and Dad thank you for all the love and joy you brought every single day. Brian will never be forgotten and will always loved, forever.
Okay, that is all for today. Somewhat normal programming will return tomorrow. So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Purrs to all of you.
Angel Brian was a presence, and we’ll all miss him terribly.
My heart still aches for all of you, and for all of us. Thank you for continuing this legacy he left, a blog hop dedicated to celebrating all the blessings in our lives.
Era un lindo gatito me acuerdo la primera vez que entre al blog Me pareció un gato adorable . Me encantaban sus fotos cuando estaba durmiendo. Les mando un beso.
Bryan and I are so very sorry…we felt like all your kitties were ours.
The band Alabama sung about Angel walking among us. Brian was one of the Angel who walked among us daily quietly showing us the way

Brian was so special and beloved by all of us, too. Thank you for sharing him with us. He will live on forever in our hearts and minds, always. XO
It’s wonderful that all of Brian’s brothers and sisters realize how much he contributed to their daily lives. Fortunately, he taught all of you good lessons, so now just make him proud. He’ll be watching and smiling from the Bridge.
I think Brian was a once-in-a-lifetime cat. Your memories of him are precious.
Dani and I wish you peace amongst the grief, and hope that thoughts of Brian will make you smile.
I have been thinking all of you and Brian will always be in our hearts!
I’m so glad I got to know Brian, he was the sweetest kitty, with the wisest look about him. My heart goes out to all his family and I hope the good memories will mean comfort for all.
Thank you all for sharing your thoughts and love for Brian. Mom and Dad, thank you for always sharing Brian and all your other babes with us all. I loved reading about them all. It is hard on us humans when a small little fur ball works their way into our hearts, that one day down the road we have to say goodbye. I do know this, and I feel that by saying it I am right on the spot, from the feral babes outside that have not found their furever home to Brian, Mom and Dad sure to more… Read more »

Thankful for life
Brian was the best big brother any cat could wish for. He will be forever remembered. Love to all of you.
Brian ~ you were always here. Somehow, we kind-a thought you would always be here. But thinking on it now, even though we can no longer see you clearly, hear a gentle meow, we know you “are here”. And believe that yes, you will be … it was … it is … your special responsibility to watch over your Home and all who live there, all who came before and all who will follow. And because you are you, you will do that. Quietly, softly and beautifully. Yes, we know that you are still beside us in spirt and in… Read more »
Angel Brian was one in a million, kitties, what a kindhearted Soul. We feel Thankful that we knew him for so long on the blog and how we already miss that sweet boy too🙏😿 Soft Pawkisses for all of you🐾😽💞
I’m in tears reading this. Brian was an exceptional cat and I’m thankful to have known him a bit through your blog I’m glad you will keep the blog name and the thankful Thursdays. I’m continuing to keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. ❤️
Tears again, this is so beautiful, just as Brian was such a beautiful soul. I can see him in my head, laying by the play pen watching the babies in his home.. Brian you wear your new halo as well as you wore your hat.. We are so happy your Blog name will always be Brians Home!
For today we are thankful that Brian had this wonderful blog and he came by every week to say hello to us. Of course there’s no words to say how terrible it is for this loss. It’s wonderful that it will remain Brian’s blog and everyone at your house will have something to tell us all the time.
Your new header is perfect! The photo of you kitties is adorable and we are so happy that Brian has his place on the header as well.Your wonderful brother will be missed but he will always be in your hearts and the lessons he taught you all will be with you as well. He was a wonderful guy!
Such a beautiful tribute to our dear sweet friend, Brian. We are so happy you are not changing the name of the blog, as that will be another way of Bryan living on in our hearts. Sending all of you lots of hugs and comforting, purrs and much love.
We know Brian is in a beautiful place now and we know he feels the love from his friends and family here forever. We send you all hugs of comfort. We are THANKFUL to have called Brian our friend………………………
Love, Teddy
It ia so nice to hear Brian’s family members reminisce about him and his special nature. We knew just looking at his photos that he was a boss Mancat, but also caring and calm, just when you need it. We love to hear how he brought peace to the whole family. We always liked seeing his expression with his head full of thoughts, and we liked seeing him snooze away with those big kitten feet sticking out. We will remember him every day when we see the blog’s name.
I had a waking image of Brian appearing at the bridge, tail high, but curled at the end, unsure. When, all of the sudden, hundreds of cats come from every direction to greet him – purring, licking, and rubbing him with love and gratitude. These are not only the cats he knew in life, but also those that he and his dad had helped find their forever homes.
Kind actions are forever. Rest well, dear Brian.
I join the others who said that they thought that Brian would always be here. That we would always have a visit with him and that we could always come by and see him each day. He was like a star shining. Always there. Always kind and loving. I just fell in love with him. Reading the Christmas tree time years ago when he was found tightly sealed that affection and love I had for him, for always. Brian, much love. And much love to your Mom and Dad and siblings as well. I won’t forget you.
We are glad that the blog will carry on in Brian’s name, that’s such a perfect way to honor his memory. We know his siblings will do a good job for him. Today, I am thankful for memories of our angel cats….we had one, Don Juan, who Brian always made me think of. Donny was like Brian, always accepting and welcoming to anyone new in our home (even dogs!!). We cherish the memory of him as we know you will of Brian.
Such a beautiful tribute to Brian. I love what each of you wrote about him. He will be missed by all, including me. Thank you for hosting. XO

oh no…. the good die too soon. Well, the bodies die but the soul and spirit lives on in Heaven. I just know that. I’m sorry for the loss to all of you, because he made life so much better while he was here. That’s an amazing testimony isn’t it. Love, LeeAnna

When I heard the heartbreaking news I scheduled my post for today. It’s much too hard for me to write something of value here. My heart and head do not want to believe that it’s true. Sending much love to all of you, today and always. Brian will always be in my heart, just like all of you. Always.
Coming here as always, been such a pleasure. More than a pleasure. Our hearts go out to all of you and we will never forget. Brian. He was a great cat and you are all living in the atmosphere he created. I know he is around you as he is in all our hearts. Bless you friends lol

Brian lives on in his young family and the sweet cats he welcomes. It IS Brian’s blog and he will be it guardian angel.
The warmest and gentlest of hugs to all of you at this difficult time. And gentle puppy kisses from the Z Kids, too. Run free dear Brian.
We are thankful for Brian too – and that he and his family shared their lives with us We are also thankful that we will continue to hear about all the rest of those at Brian’s Home !
He will be missed by so many. What a beautiful tribute from each of your fur babies.
Thank you for sharing his fantastic life and spirit with us
Brian, sweet boy, you were the best.
Hugs to your mom and dad.
We loved how each and every one of you expressed your thoughts of Brian from their own MOV. They were all so puurfect. We know how much he will be missed by all of you and the Blogosphere as well. Words cannot tell enough… We here have almost always had a “calming cat” who prevented fights, protected the smaller ones, and stopped “hissies” with mere glare. In our house, it has always been an orange/white male. But Brian proved color doesn’t matter. It was personality that made him the “calmer”. Such cats like Brian (like our Skeeter of years ago… Read more »
Most of us only dream of having a cat as sweet and loving as your Brian. I’m thankful you shared him with us all these years.
Hugs and purrs.
OMG I am so so so sorry that Brian has crossed the Rainbow Bridge, my heart is heartbroken here for all of you and sending you lots of hugs. I am so thankful for your Thursday Blog Hop as I learned so much from him, he was a great teacher to me and will be sorely missed 🙁 but I am happy you will be carrying on his legacy.
What a wonderful tribute to the best mancat! Hugs.
We have been very deeply touched by the loss of Brian. He and his Angel Sisters were some of the very first kitty pals we made in the land of blogs. We haven’t been blogging as much as we should and we would like to do better. Mom says it is just hard right now with all the “downer” stuff going on right now with us. We do want to send lots and lots of hugs to all of you. Brian was just so special.
Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Guys, we are still so upset, Brian will be missed terribly and we send oodles more purrs and hugs to mew all!
Ahh, I’m so sad to read this mews! Brian was such a sweetheart. I always looked forward to visiting him each Monday. I just love the whole idea that Brian’s mom and dad had with Brians Home. This is just a fun place to visit with Brian at the helm and the rest of you kitties. My heart is so heavy for y’all. Saying pawryers for God’s love to fill your heart with warm memories of Brian’s sweet presence for days to come. Blessings to you! 😽🐾
