It’s Happy Tabby Tuesday and Simon Is Here with an Update

happy tabby tuesday simon 03192024

Hey gang, I’d say guess who, but you all are the smart ones and always guess right the first time. I know better than try and fool you MOL! Anyways, t was quite the day yesterday, inparticular yesterday morning. We saw something unusual, Titan got shut in the upstairs bedroom just a breakfast time. The Mom said Titan was supposed to fast, well, that little guy is super fast, I can attest to that. We got our breakfast but none of us ate very good, we were worried about Titan being shut in the bedroom. Then we saw a PTU come out and we all scattered.

Anywho, I know you’re wanting an update on the little guy, so here goes. Titan’s nose swelling had gone down a lot from what it was, to the point it wasn’t as noticiable. But he had to go see the Internal Medicine Vet anyways. She gave him a very thorough exam, looked at his history and looked at photos from when his nose was swollen. Her opinion is that it was likely bacterial, not fungal, and that we should continue with the antibiotics he was already getting since he seemed to be responding well to them. The swelling was likely inflammation from the infection he was fighting. That was really good news for the little guy. Of course if the swelling comes back then he can go back and have a CT Scan to investigate further, but she didn’t think it was warranted at this point. Titan said to say thank you for all the purrs, prayers, POTP and well wishes.

So, does that mean we can come over now for nose taps and kiss-kisses? Good news!

Mariette VandenMunckhof-Vedder

Simon, that was a good update.
Of course you sibling kitties DO notice when one of your fur–siblings gets treated oddly, like Titan being shut up in the bedroom so he will fast…
And then that dreaded PTU…
But glad to hear that Titan’s infection is shrinking due to him using antibiotics.
Bet he did feast later on his brunch without the bunch!
Hugs,
Mariette + Kitties

Good news on Titan’s nose! Hopefully those antibiotics will put an end to the inflammation PERIOD. It’s a little scary when the PTU comes out – you never know who will be chosen to be the “victim” !!!

this is fantabulous news for Titan and all of you. we know about what happens when routines are not followed completely and can imagine how you all felt when one of your gang was locked away from the food bowls. Carry on Gang and so happy your baby brother is back in the gang and no scan needed.

Handsome Simon, thank you for the update about your baby brother titan. First off you look very handsome in your photo. But we are very glad to hear that Titan is probably doing very well as long as he keeps taking the rest of his medicine. It is too bad that a baby kitty has to take so much.

So happy Titan is doing well. He is far to sweet to have any big issues.

We’re glad his little nose is feeling better, and that he got off pretty easily in this little experience. Hope he doesn’t grow up to be the incident-prone kitty, that’s never fun!
