Thankful Thursday Blog Hop:  Older Programs on the TV

thankful thursday blog hop maxwell 03142024

Hello everyone, it’s me Maxwell and I’m here for Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Thanks to you all for stopping by. We are always thankful to each of you for joining us!  Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!

Today, this one is for the peeps.  They are thankful for streaming programs on that TV thingy.  Seriously, they are thankful that there is an endless variety of programs and shows from years ago.  It’s like a trip in The Wayback Machine, whatever that is, maybe some of you know.  I do know that some of us like to watch Bird-TV on the TV thingy.

Seriously, the peeps have both said that they enjoy the older shows because the new ones are just no good.  Hey, as long as the Mom and Dad are happy then that’s a good enough reason to be thankful.  Of course we all like to keep them company no matter what they are watching and we’re thankful we get to do that!

So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  Hey Pet Bloggers, don’t forget to leave your daily link over at The Cat Blogosphere for a chance to grab an entry for the end of the month drawing.  Okay, that’s it for now!  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

Maxwell what I reallllllly miss x 100000 is Nat GEO Wild…we no longer get that channel with our Spectrum package
I adored all the vet programs, nature, Zoos, Aquarium programs etc.
We love the westerns and the comedies from the older shows all just very family friendly and don’t cause nightmares.
Hugs to you 8 and your amazing staff of 2

Some of those older shows are fabulous. We decided TV was too expensive, but if we ever have one again, we’ll probably watch the same kinds of things your parents do.

Maxwell, we’re very glad you get to watch bird TV, and also, watch along with your peeps. We do that here too. We (the peeps) also tend to like older shows better. Sometimes we choose shows because they have an actor or actors we like. That usually works out well.

Watch those old shows helps us look back on those times in our lives and perhaps even family members who are no longer with us. Wonderful being with you all today. Aloha!

Oh, Maxwell, mama and papa watch FRIENDS every night just to lift their spirits after the sorrow of Gaza and the criminals Netanyahu and Putin, and yes, old shows are so much better, althought there is a sweet show called One Day about two young people who meet every now and then, clearly in love but with so many changes that you don’t know what is coming next. Mama and papa watch the first episodes of many thing and then move on…Good movies, though. They are waiting for Poor Things but loved Oppenheimer and Maestro about Leanard Bernstein. Would love… Read more »

My Mom and Dad agree with you and your Mom and Dad Maxwell. My parents don’t have cable or streaming or anything – just regular TV – but it’s a fun mix of OLDIES and new programming that suits them. Mom and Dad read a lot too and when the TV has zippity doo to watch, they read!

Hugs, Teddy

Maxwell, we humans like decent TV shows when we have our feet propped up in the evening. And pretty much anything new is not decent. The good thing is is your mom and dad have all you lovely kitties to keep an eye on at the same time I bet they never get enough of that.

MY mommy likes the old-time TV too for 100% the same reason your mom and Dad do. She likes METV and H&ITV. She gets her Chuck Norris on Saturdays with five in a row!

Our dad is a big fan of old TV shows too. You kitties are lucky to have Bird TV. We’ve never found any Squirrel TV show, but we do get to watch them out our windows every day.

We’ve been watching old shows too. It’s delightful.

Today I’m thankful that hubby is home from the hospital. We had a scare that’s not over yet, but the prognosis is far better than it was last week. Prayers would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday and rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties and my best to your wonderful peeps. ♥

Charlee: “Same here, Maxwell! Mama and Dada have used the streaming to watch all kinds of shows they never saw from five or ten or twenty years ago, like ‘Halt and Catch Fire’, ‘Mad Men’, ‘House’, ‘The Wire’, and ‘Six Feet Under’.”
Chaplin: “I like it because when they watch their shows for an hour in the evening, I get to make muffins on the fleecy blanket on Mama’s lap.”
Charlee: “What are you going to do in the summertime when it’s warm and Mama doesn’t need a blanket?”
Chaplin: “I’ll sneak over and turn the air conditioning way up.”

I like the part of being thankful because your parents are thankful and I know all of you kitties are super thankful to be in from the cold with the purrrrrfect set of parents. why don’t you ask them to watch Cheaper by The Dozen, that might save 4 more cats. MOL MOL

Ruby Rose and the Big Little Angels Three

My parents feel the same way, they can watch almost anything, anytime, and Brit Box had hundreds of shows.

Tails Around the Ranch

Yes, old series are truly wonderful-we have a channel that plays them at night. Too much fun. I’ve been enjoying a few series from the 60’s. Awesome sauce. P.S. Happy Pi Day too.
