Thankful Thursday Blog Hop:  Hooray for Happy Ferals

thankful thursday blog hop maxwell 04042023

Hello everyone, it’s me Maxwell and I’m here for Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Thanks to you all for stopping by. We are always thankful to each of you for joining us!  Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!

Today I thankful that we have happy ferals.  Well, let me clarify that.  I think we’ve always had some pretty happy ferals.  I know that first paw because Seal and I were ferals out back with the others.  Happy ferals are happy when the food is on time and the food is good.  They also enjoy their fresh water and shelter from bad weather.

Today though they are a bit happier because the Dad has finally gotten the leaves raked and the grass cut back there. There must have been 9 million leaves back there but now they are out of their way and they are sure happy to have their yard back the way it is supposed to be.  We’re all really thankful to see our feral family each day, they make us smile.

Here’s a quick backstory thing.  The long hair back cat that looks a little ratty looks that way because there is still straw in the feral houses and he loves the straw.  He often comes out all covered in straw.  Here is something you probably didn’t know.  That long hair black kitty is my Fur Daddy, his name is Chet.

So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  Hey Pet Bloggers, don’t forget to leave your daily link over at The Cat Blogosphere for a chance to grab an entry for the end of the month drawing.  Okay, that’s it for now!  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

How great to see them. I am glad you mentioned the straw it looks a bit dramatic (not worrying just a bit erm.. bitty!!)

Dearest Maxwell, This was a most touching post and what a story about your your Fur Daddy Chet. It is so heart warming to see people like your human Dad care so much for the feral kitties that have no human family. If both of us would be healthy and younger, we too would do the very same. Well, when we came home the other night with our car, a ratty looking black cat came out of our cat door from the garage! Guess looking for leftovers in the bowls. One never knows from where they come. There is another… Read more »

Maxwell, I can see where you get your furry good looks, such a handsome fur daddy! It’s wonderful to see the feral guys so well cared for. After many years of no newcomers, cats are moving around this spring and we have a few stopping by. The newest is ear-tipped … Everyone is being kept fed.

Nice that those ferals get taken care of so well! And you look so much like your fur daddy, Maxwell!!
We used to see feral cats around here years ago, but we hardly ever see any cats except in windows ,now.I guess that is a good thing, though.

Memories of Eric and Flynn

Your ferals have a good life. I couldn’t get here earlier as it said your site was down for maintenance. All back to normal now!

I bet Chet is happy to know his son is in the house where the weather is always good and dry and warm. How wonderful you are there to look out the window at him and the others and wave a paw and make sure food dad is on time with their food.

The eight of you are the luckiest kitties around to have such a great home, but those feral kitties are the second luckiest to have such a great place to eat, drink, and have shelter. Your humans are amazing!

Hey there Maxwell. It must be nice to know who your cat Daddy is. We don’t know our dog daddies. But we have a super great Dad here with our Mom, so we don’t really care too much. Our Mom still has to finish raking the leaves by the back fence. There’s probably a half dozen big garbage bags full, if not more. Have a great Thankful Thursday! XOX Xena and My Gang

how many fur feral are there out back. I think it is really cool that mom and dad feed them and give them warm homes to sleep in. I left the two fur feral containers I made for the other house for the two feral there. Hoping they were able to enjoy them when there was all that snow out there, and with all the rain we are having. The little loves need a dry place to be.

What gorgeous ferals that your dad takes care of! They sure do live the good life! Now we know where are you get your good looks from Maxwell. I too used to be a feral kitten and am so happy that I got caught and found a wonderful forever home here with my mom.

You’re so wonderful to take care of the ferals. Bless you both for that. They need us and we have two kitties that were abandoned. We’re proud to have them as family members.

I’m thankful I found you and so many other kitty and pup peeps.

Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday and rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties and my best to your peeps. ♥

Charlee: “You guys are so good to your ferals! We’re glad to see them happy and healthy!”
Lulu: “We don’t have any ferals who come around here but I can tell you that the flycatcher bird is always happy when Dada cuts the lawn. It comes swooping in to get all the bugs who don’t have tall grass to hide in anymore.”
Oona: “Yes Oona is also a fan of the happy flycatcher. She could sit and watch it hunt ALL DAY LONG.”

Mornin’, Maxwell – I appreciate your sharing your feral family with us, especially your daddy Chet. We also feed ferals and they do appear to be happy. We’re down to about 4 regulars (well, 5 if you count the kitty next door who hangs out here for free meals!) as some through the years have passed on. There are also a few non-regulars, meaning we don’t see them very often, but suspect they sneak over here as there is always food. We use a large round plastic serving platter that has 5 divided slots for hors d’oeuvres or appetizers. We… Read more »

Awwww dudes, we love happy ferals! Smooch was once one of them, and he’s the most epically epic dude ever! And so today we’re supurr, epically thankful for our little tripawed dude, who we love more than all the stars in the cosmos!

That is really cool, Maxwell. At least you know who your genetic Daddy is, and it’s great that he’s a part of your feral family. Your inside Daddy is so kind to help all the ferals and clean up their yard for them.

Cat and Dog Chat With Caren

oh my goodness!! That’s nice that you have your feral Daddy right near by!! That’s funny that he likes rolling in the straw so much! (reminds me of the movie Young Frankenstein when the lady kept singing “roll, roll, roll, roll in the hay!!” lol) that movie is one of my faves
