Thankful Thursday Blog Hop: Nicknames All Around

thankful thursday blog hop maxwell 05162024

Hello everyone, it’s me Maxwell and I’m here for Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Thanks to you all for stopping by. We are always thankful to each of you for joining us!  Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!

I was chatting with the others and today we wanted to tell you all that we’re thankful for our nicknames. Hey, nicknames are a sign of love and affection, right? Right! We all have them and you probably do too. I’d like to hear your nicknames so feel free to leave them in the comments. Just to be fair, I’ll list them in the order that we arrived here at Brian’s Home.

Simon is often known as SiSi (with that long I sound) or SiMan (again, long I sound). Seal also has some nicknames, SealTeam, Brown and Princess Seal. Kiki is more often known as Deedles or DeedleBomb. Her full name is Kiki Dee, so it was easy to go from Dee to Deedles. She really seems to like her nicknames too. Me Maxwell, I’m often called MaxAMillion, MaxMax, SilverHammer, or Handsome Max (blushing). Macy is known as MacyGirl, MaceMace or Soft Tum. Titan is BNW. BMW US Headquarters is located here so he is our BNW, black and white guy. Tyler’s nickname is Mouse because he has very soft mouse gray furs. Tinslee is TinTin! Chipper is Chippie or Chipster.

That’s it, our nicknames, I hope you like them! So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  Hey Pet Bloggers, don’t forget to leave your daily link over at The Cat Blogosphere for a chance to grab an entry for the end of the month drawing.  Okay, that’s it for now!  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

You all have some great nicknames, Maxwell. We have a bunch of them for Ava, too. 🙂

Those are all cool 😎 nicknames, Maxwell! We have so many kitties here, so many nicknames, they’re alot for one comment. The most colorful one, (you can edit it out if needed, we won’t object) is when we call Lynx, “Fuzzbutt”. Not so polite, but when you see his picture, it’s certainly the truth!

Siempre hay que estar agradecido de cada muestra de amor. Te mando un beso

Our cats have nicknames, too. Tripod SissyCat is Dopert (tripod backwards). The Charismatic Enigma SissyCat is SissMiss. Dansig the Round is Orange Boy, and Link Linker the Stinker is Blue Boy (he’s a gray and white tuxie).

I like all of your nicknames, they are fun!

Your nicknames are great. Is there a story behind Silver Hammer? Mom often calls Wolfie “Mister” because he’s the only boy kitty in the house. And Molly is often called “Peanut” because she’s so little.

Oona: “Oona has got lots of nicknames, too! Some of them are because of how she always talks to Mama and Dada when they go by! So they call her Hi-Hi, and Peeper, and Peeps! In fact for a while there Oona thought her actual name was Peeper.”
Chaplin: “They also call you Monster sometimes, don’t they? Why do you suppose that is?”

Mornin’, Maxwell – Love all the nicknames! We’ve named our ferals, no nicknames. Peanut is our shiny black matriarch (yes, she’s the littlest!) Mitchie is a black/white tuxedo, Smokey a very pretty soft gray/lavender, and Scruffy a longhaired black/white tuxedo, but her black back is turning a rusty color. They are our four musketeers (the regulars) We lost Big Sis (she looked like Simon) and Brother (gray tabby) last year we’re assuming to old age. There are a couple of others, but the Four Musketeers are our regulars. The only one that is tame enough to touch is Peanut, but… Read more »

We never expected to be the joyful caretakers of two young black cats and an older white one. I came up with not only nicknames but also weird little sing-song taglines for our current sweet threesome. Terra was given ‘Doopy Doopy Do’ early on she proved such an athletic go-getter. And just the other day I decided she is made up of sunshine and velvet. Her sister Polly earned ‘Boop Boop bee Doop’ because she has the cute silliness and confident swagger of Betty Boop. Today I decided she was formed from starlight and feathers. Our latest and eldest resident,… Read more »
