Thankful Thursday Blog Hop: Upright Is Downright Good

thankful thursday blog hop maxwell 12262024

Hello everyone, it’s me Maxwell and I’m here for Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Thanks to you all for stopping by. We are always thankful to each of you for joining us!  Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!

Today I want to say that we are thankful that our Christmas Tree is still standing. As I said in my post title, upright is downright good and the Mom and Dad are very thankful for that too. There were a few close moments with one of the newbies trying to climb the Tree, but they were quickly escorted and/or diverted to other activities. Not bad with so many young ones enjoying their first Christmas in their forever home.

I’m sure you all know that we had a wonderful Christmas and Santa was very good to all of us. We enjoyed all of the goodies and we’re still enjoying them. We will be posting photos of the fun next week since right now there are lots of photos to go through. So how did the Santa Watch thing go? You’ll have to come back on Friday for that answer.

So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  Hey Pet Bloggers, don’t forget to leave your daily link over at The Cat Blogosphere for a chance to grab an entry for the end of the month drawing.  Okay, that’s it for now!  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

  1. That’s an awesome thankful, Maxwell! We did good here, too; the X factor was Target, since this was his first Christmas here. He was a good boy — no climbing or even messing with the ornaments. XO

  2. As always we are thankful for Brians Home and you darlings and you were SO good to leave that tree standing tall. No fun to play with a prostrate tree, right? Or be tempted at least…

  3. Thank dog the tree is still standing. It is rough with one youngster but with so many at your house, it would be really difficult. Glad you all had a wonderful Christmas and we look forward to seeing your fun.

  4. So, to twist a tale around: if’n the tree toppled in the night, and neither Mom or Dad heard it .. did it really fall? And who would the kitties blame on Christmas morn?
The answer: Santy Paws did it!

  5. That is good news. Thanks for hosting. Have a great day. Hope you have some boxes around to celebrate Boxing Day. XO

  6. Of course the tree is still standing…good cats live at your house and know the importance of good behavior.

  7. Yay for the tree still standing and all your gifts and treats. waiting to see the rest of this story. love you guys

  8. Merry day after Christmas, Maxwell – You look quite strikingly handsome with the Christmas tree in the background. I’ll bet you and your brothers and sisters received a lot of goodies and not one speck of coal in your stockings!

  9. Chaplin: “We are very impressed that the tree is still standing despite all your hard work! Obviously your Mom and Dad know how to fortify it!”
Oona: “The twelve days of Christmas are not over yet, tree. Do not get overconfident.”

  10. Maxwell excellent Thankful Thursday report.
I like that thingie around the bottom of the tree. I bet that keeps everyone from taking a sip . It would have been nice to have that in the days of Toto the mighty mini dachshund he thought the tree stand was his water bowl

  13. This certainly is a special Christmas at your house with the most newly adopted ones celebrating the first Christmas as adults! And glad the tree still stands.

  14. That’s a huge accomplishment. Squeaker wouldn’t stay out of the tree so we took it down. Maybe next year.

Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties and my very best to their wonderful peeps. ♥

  15. Glad to hear the tree is good and you all had a great time. It was close at points for ours with Stitch but he was a good boy in the end! :-D

  16. So glad the tree is still upright. Now to speculate about what Christmas 2026 will bring for the tree and the young ‘uns. We too had a very nice Christmas with family and are very thankful for that

Merry Christmas Woos – Misty and Timber

  17. I am so happy your tree is still standing, that is pawsome. WOW lots of toys must be so much fun and so much to play with I am sure you are over excited. We do not celebrate Christmas but I got lots of new toys for Hanukkah. Thank you for your weekly bog hop as always and a Happy New Year to all of you with love from Nili

  18. The tree still stands?! It’s a Christmas Miracle! Hopefully Santa brought enough toys to offer many distractions until it officially comes down. Then, the newbies will have to find other mischief to make. 😆
