Today we are posting a thankful from The Dad and he says he is most thankful for our cooperation. Really, most of us do try to cooperate, but our sweet Seal does it better than most. Seal has to have medicine daily for her asthma and she also has IBD. With IBD she needs to have some special Rx food to help keep her gastric problems under control. The problem is she won’t eat it on her own so twice a day The Dad feeds her. Seal is a champion when it comes to cooperation. So, here is a video of The Dad giving Seal her medicine and her morning foods. Perhaps it will come in handy if you ever have to hand feed one of your kitties. She sure is cooperative and The Dad is most thankful for that and so are her Vets. She is just as cooperative with her Vets too. So, what are you thankful for today? I hand fed Angel Minko like that, using a teeny tiny spoon for three years. He wouldn’t eat by himself at all, we suspected ibd or some other digestive issue, but he gained back 2.5 of the three pounds he lost until we started that feeding routine…and added his meds along with the food. Three times a day for him.
At the outset of that time, one vet said no cat ever starved himself…well, she needed to meet Minko (and Seal), cause they sometimes don’t/can’t/won’t! I changed vets in a hurry after that debacle…and had to choose between two that were very understanding and compassionate…and who said I was right in doing what I was doing. I still am with my choice to this day!

That’s a great technique and an EXTREMELY sweet and cooperative Lady Seal! She knows the routine and she trusts Daddy so it works just fine.

Wow great video Terry :-D Seal is such a good girl. Jethro is on Renal food for his kidney issues and he is a nightmare trying to get him fed! I might try this technique with him and see how it goes! I have no issues with the other 3 cats eating haha! Jethro used to eat no problem before he moved to Renal food! Thanks for showing us this Maxwell, you are looking handsome :-D

this is very unusual per my hubby who had a few Siamese cats who were not cooperative at all. you are so sweet and good Seal and so is dad for feeding you like a sweet wrapped up baby… love the video.

I am impressed, really, with Seal and her wonderful and trusting behavior as well as your confident and efficient method of feeding her & medicating her. Those aren’t just words. I am, as the saying goes, blown away with the both of you working together. You have done a service to the rest of us as well in showing us how it is done.

Seal is more cooperative than Ellie Mae! After a while, Ellie gets a bit spicy. I can’t blame her. Not feeling good is hard!
Oh Terry, she is amazing. You know I love Seal, those eyes always get me but wow, to see how well behaved she is, is great! Seal, you rock that. I am not sure I could get my girls to work that well with me. I do have people amazed that my girls will sit in my lap like a two yr old to have their nails clipped but I can’t even begin to see my girls being as good as Seal. Lily would come closest but only if Misty is not around. Misty, that she devil would put up a fight!! lol….thank you for showing us Terry.

You are such a sweet girl to take your medicine and special food so well, Seal. We think you should add an extra thankful for a dad that is so dedicated to making sure you are as healthy as can be.
Oh, Mr T, mow we have actually seen you, and Seal is a darling, just amazing with your kind, gentle pill and pate routine. So easy peasy. Mama should have videoed giving me my shot each day as it might have helped others whose kitties are diabetic. Oh, well, mercy buckup for the instructions. PERFECT, just perfect.
