Today we are thankful for those who help. We watched with horror the devastation from the Texas floods, the deaths and the destruction. When you see something like that it takes some reflection to hunt up the thankfuls, but they are there. We’re thankful for all those who jumped in to help those in need. Swift water rescue teams from other places arrived to help, even from our southern neighbor Mexico. The Cajun Navy and Samaritan’s Purse were in the area almost immediately. Those who are in the restaurant/food industry arrived and set up shop to help feed people. Monetary donations poured in. Individuals stepped up to pay for funeral costs. The list goes on and on, but remember this, there are many good people in this world, you just don’t hear about them. We’re thankful they are out there doing what needs to be done.
So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Hey Pet Bloggers, don’t forget to leave your daily link over at The Cat Blogosphere for a chance to grab an entry for the end of the month drawing. Okay, that’s it for now! The images and reports from Texas are heartbreaking. We are so, so grateful that there are indeed still many good people in the world. And that those people always step up even more in times when others need help. Hugs to you and your whole wonderful family, Maxwell.
It’s always beautiful to see the helpers, they are out there and they step up.
I remembered to thank God today for all the good deeds buried by bad news, which apparently sells better. ~sigh~ Hugs to you and yours, precious.

Maxwell, you sure do look cute! Those floods are just so heartbreaking. We did indeed see so many good people stepping up to help.
Yes, bless them. ❤️
The floods were/are terrible. It is so nice when people come together in times of disaster. I just wish people could do this kind of thing for one another everyday. Can you imagine what kind of world that would be? We are thankful that so many people are stepping up to help <3
It is wonderful to see all those who are helping in that horrific situation.
The terrible tragedy and loss of life is devastating. Yesterday I saw there are now terrible floods in New Mexico. It is good to know that there are so many good people who come to help in disasters.
Nature are cruel
It is very heartening that in times of trouble we help each other – the response to the Texas disaster has been amazing and hopefully more survivors will be located with so many involved in the search. It will take time to recover but with help, donations, volunteering and prayers it will happen.
Hugs, Teddy and Mom Pam
We love hearing about good things and people and events that HELP. The Canadian man saying no to tariffs is one BIG hero.
Mello Maxwell! People do come together to help each out after tragedies. Take care, have a great day!
Maxwell that was a devastating storm of unbelievable size. It is wonderful how there are people who are able to go out there and help in just any way possible. We are thankful that on a small scale here when we need help.
That is such a terrible thing that happened, nothing anyone ever could imagine but the outpouring of support has been amazing.

I’m thankful to first responders and volunteers who courageously step up to do these sorts of jobs. To see or read about tearless, selfless people proves humanity isn’t lost and that there’s a lot of good people still out there. Thanks to everyone who came to the aid of the folks in Texas. My thoughts and prayers are with the families suffering at every level possible. My heart is especially heavy for those who lost loved ones. May God’s comfort surround you!
Maxwell, I am just as thankful. And grateful for all those who helped both physically and with funding for the funeral costs from those who were able to help with that. I have never read of that happening though I am sure it has, until now.
You are so right, Maxwell. There are many more good people in this world than bad.

The devastation in Texas is heartbreaking. We have been having gobs of rain, but nothing like what they have been dealing with. Our prayers go out to all of them. Mom and Dad are thankful they have been able to get Sawyer’s meds administered everyday. XOCK, angels Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta & Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer, Kizmet, Audrey & Raleigh
We too are thankful for all those who are able to get right into the scene and lend a hand. And then there are all those who contribute with money, clothes, food, housing, etc. So many very good people in our world.
