Thankful Thursday Blog Hop: Replacing Is Good

thankful thursday blog hop maxwell 08072025

Hello everyone, it’s me Maxwell and I’m here for Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Thanks to you all for stopping by. We are always thankful to each of you for joining us!  Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!

I’m up in the tree watching everything that is going on in the living room and there I see my thankful for today. The Dad is replacing some of our scratchers. Hey, with nine of us here I can tell you we sure go through the scratchers. Just from my perch in the cat tree I can see eleven scratchers in the living room. We like it when the Dad replaces the destroyed ones. There’s always a rush to see who gets to be first to break in the new ones. Today it was Simon who got to one first and boy was he happy. I think our Dad needs to buy stock in a company that makes cat scratchers!

So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  Hey Pet Bloggers, don’t forget to leave your daily link over at The Cat Blogosphere for a chance to grab an entry for the end of the month drawing.  Okay, that’s it for now!  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! 1. Maxwell, fresh scratchers are so much fun for the kitties!
Around here, however, The Hubby hates to throw the old, hollowed out ones away, so he puts them in corners.
It’s weird, but they get used as beddies sometimes, so one just never knows.

  2. Buying stock in such a company isn’t a bad idea, especially if the stocks pay dividends. Meanwhile, your parents take such good care of you, it’s a good example to the rest of us.

  3. Chaplin: “It’s always great to get a new scratcher to work your claws on!”
Oona: “The cactus scratcher in Dada’s office has been looking a little sad lately. Oona is hoping he rewraps it with new sisal rope soon. Until then, she will still happily jump up and stand on top of it, though.”

  4. that is a good idea! that way your dad can get super rich with buying you new scratchers

  5. I guess I’m one of the weirdos of the world because I’ve never used a scratcher – I have preferred using my cat tower or the old OLD sofa in the basement that I nap on sometimes!! BUT I must say, I’m just following a tradition – Mom said Angel Sammy was a tower/old sofa guy too!!

    Hugs, Teddy

  6. Interesting. Not being a mathematician at all, not sure what this would work out to, but your ration is 11 for 9. I’m an only kitty, mine Mommy just counted and I am 4 for 1. She knows when it’s time for a change as I approach the table leg … and hear someone (?) call out “no, oh no!”

  7. There is an excitement in the room, Maxwell. Enjoy your new scratcher. We will talk mommie onto getting new ones too. Love n paws 🐾 Monti, Tux and Smokey

  8. Thanks for the tip- I want to buy some of that stock too. :) You are lucky your dad makes sure the older ones get replaced. Thanks for hosting. Have a nice day. XO

  9. First off Maxwell our Mama just about melted when she saw this cute picture of you!
We can only imagine how much fun it is to be the first to break in a new scratcher!
    xoxo,
    Rosy & Sunny

  10. Jack is good about using the scratchers. But Sophie often needs to be reminded that the carpets are not for scratching.

  11. Mornin’, Maxwell – You look quite contemplative. Are you thinking about your new scratchers and wondering how long they’ll last?!

  12. We go through the scratchers here too. We only have two kitties, so I can’t imagine how often dad has to replace yours. It’s a happy thing indeed. I love all you kitties.

Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Being thankful is a very good thing.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday and rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties and my best to their peeps. ♥

  13. We too have lots of cat scratchers, and we rarely try to scratch the furniture, which makes our humans very happy. We are thankful for a few days of cooler weather with slightly less humidity. 14. Nice Dad is such a good maintenance guy. In spite of being the largest of 9
Simon is quick as greased lightning

My wireless keyboard and mouse were not working this morning in spite of new batteries so I’m running very late.
    Hugs and cuddles

  15. We LOVE today’s photo, Maxwell! And we LOVE new scratchers too! #1 will often buy two identical ones and then stick them together with double-sided tape to make a huge one. Aren’s we du for a new one, #1?

    Purrs,
    The Chans

  16. Maxwell, I will be pondering your inscrutable expression all day. Even for a cat. You have a wonderful heir of mystery today or is it a tummy ache? We hope you’re happy and okay and play Aloha buddy Cloudia and pixie

  17. That is so nice of your Dad. Do you all take to the new scratchers right away? When we get a new toy or bed, it takes a while for us to try them out. And we really much prefer our old chewed up toys to new ones:)

    Woos – Misty and Timber

  18. Too bad those scratchers take such a beating…and why can’t they make them to last longer, like maybe using real tree trunks as saved from the lumberjacks, or from trees fallen in storms. Yes indeed call the company to find out how to get into their stocks! LOL!

  19. WOW how many scratchers, your Dad is so kind and good to you, you are all truly blessed.Thank you for sharing with us what you are up to and of course thank you for your Thank you as always for your Thursday Thankful Blog Hop with a woof from Nili
