If you are new to Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!

Today we are all thankful for Medical Teamwork. Not just that, we’re thankful for teamwork that works like clockwork. Our Dad recently had a medical issue that happened on a Sunday evening. So as not to be too confusing I will provide you with TMI, it was a urology issue, but that’s all I will say about that. Our Dad went to an Intermediate Care place on Monday morning. After a few tests they decided that our Dad needed to see a Urologist and they made the referral.

If you’ve ever needed those specialists you know that it seems to take forever to get in. When the Dad got home he contacted his Primary Care Physician and gave him an update. His PCP told him the first thing they will do is a series of ultrasounds and he said let’s get them done so you have the results when you see the Urologist. The Dad’s PCP ordered those tests. Dad’s PCP also contacted the Urologist and the imaging services group. So, instead of waiting weeks or months the medical team worked together to get things done in a week. The Dad had his ultrasounds on the following Monday and the Urologist appointment was Tuesday, yes, all happened this week. That’s teamwork and we’re most thankful that they all came together so quickly to help our Papa.

All of the results so far look very promising, but there are some more non-urgent tests yet to be done. So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  Hey Pet Bloggers, don’t forget to leave your daily link over at The Cat Blogosphere for a chance to grab an entry for the end of the month drawing.  Okay, that’s it for now!  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! 9. We’re so glad your Dad was able to get the medical assistance he needed quickly. Sometimes that’s the key to quick recovery for sure! My Dad needed a lot of tests recently ordered by his doctor and the staff at our local hospital worked to coordinate his ability to get ALL the tests done sequentially at the hospital in one day so he didn’t have to make multiple trips! Thank heavens for good and efficient medical care. Good Luck to your Dad…………

    Hugs, Teddy

  18. Glad all is okay with your dad and he had a good team on his side. Good healthcare for humans is rare here. Waiting lists are so long. Our healthcare system is in a bad way. That can’t be said about the cats! They get the best care.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday and rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties and my very best to their wonderful peeps. ♥

  22. Mornin’, Maxwell – Very thankful that your Dad received prompt medical attention and remaining optimistic that the non-urgent tests further resolve the issue. I’ve never understood why specialty practices don’t set some appointment times aside each month for new patients, as there will unfortunately always be referrals that require attention now, not months down the road.

  23. Oh Boy Maxwell l was just talking about how long referrals with specialist take. Dang if you need a referral it is U R G E N T. Thank goodness for Dad’s Medical Teams TEAM work
Happy health wishes to Dad and of course Mom da chief nurse

  24. That’s so wonderful the Dad’s medical team worked quickly and in unison to get him answers fast. Some aren’t so speedy. We’ll be praying for continued good news to follow and that everything is better soon. It’s not fun when your health is out of whack.

  25. It’s always good when you can see an expert in the medical field quickly. I am thankful for the many posts and blogs I see through my week, and the wonderful way it takes me all around the world.

  26. How scary! I’m glad the medical team was on Dad’s side! Got to keep him healthy so he can take care of you. Give him our love.

  27. That Primary Care Doc sure knew what to do – sounds like your Dad picked the right physician! Glad things are going well and your Dad is getting the care he needs. Sending healing purrs his way.

  28. Sending purrayers that The Dad will be wel lsoon. Our PCP’s office got our huMom in to see a podiatrist about a sore on her foot a lot sooner than we could have on our own.

  29. It is wonderful when the medical world comes together and works together for a path forward. Sadly that isn’t always the case. We are glad your Dad got the good stuff working for him.

    Happy Thursday, Maxwell.
