Awww Mondays: Labor Day with Chipper

Hello everyone, it’s me Chipper and I hope y’all are doing okay and I hope you had a mighty fine weekend.  Welcome to September and today is Labor Day here in the United States. Labor Day is one of those very strange human holidays where there are lots of peeps celebrating labor by not laboring. It’s really quite appropriate and you can count all of us in on the no laboring thing. It’s sort of carrying Easy Like Sunday over another day! Sounds like a plan doesn’t it? Have fun today!

Don’t forget to leave your daily link over at The Cat Blogosphere for a chance to grab an entry for the end of the month drawing.  Okay, that’s it for now!  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

  1. Hello Chipper … we suspect that most days are “no labor” days for you and the rest of your furry family. We also suspect that it’s only the two-footed family members who do most of the laboring around there … right? Needless to say, hope ALL enjoy the day!

  2. I’ve got lots of chores today. Maybe I should put them off until later and just love on our girls.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches to all the kitties and my very best to their peeps. ♥

  3. A very good plan.

Garfield the Cat wrote a Labor Day poem:

    Labor Day, schmabor day,
    what a dumb day!
    You hire some jerk
    then send him away
    to celebrate work
    by playing all day!

  4. Our Mom intended to do no labor on Labor Day, but she fell in bed exhausted last night. If she’d just sat around holding me all day, that wouldn’t have happened! XOX Xena

  5. Charlee: “Labor Day is one of the few holidays our Dada gets off and he was so confused! He forgot to use his rowing machine like he usually does on Mondays and he forgot to do his knee stretches and then he spent all of today thinking it was Monday not Tuesday. It’s a good thing he doesn’t get more days off or he would never figure out when the weekend is!”
