Today is a sad anniversary for our Country. On this day in 2001 our Country was attacked by evil humans who wanted to kill as many Americans as possible. None of us kitties were alive back then but he Dad told us the stories. Today we’re all thankful for the many heroes of that day, in particular the countless first responders that rushed to help, running to the danger as many were trying their hardest to run away. Thanks to the police, firefighters, EMS personnel who rushed to the scenes. They all did so to help without hesitation. It’s recently been said that over 48,000 first responders were exposed to toxic gas and smoke and later suffered horrific health issues.
As you go throughout your day today, pause to remember those that parished and the first responders providing aid and comfort to as many as they could. Always remember.

We remember that day like it was yesterday. We are so thankful for those selfless heroes, and we will never forget.

A sad day indeed Maxwell, one that we’ll certainly never forget. I think the sadness of it all stays with us.
A date that historians will always mark as a turning point in the U.S.’s evolution.

It was a very sad day, and very difficult. I am always thankful for our first responders. As Mr. Rogers said, look for the helpers.
Charlee: “None of us were around for that day, either, but Mama and Dada were and they remember it well.”
Lulu: “We are right there with you to honor the humans and the dogs who went into Ground Zero looking to find anyone who they could help.”
I still remember it when I saw it on TV…couldn’t believe what I just saw…and bless those heroes who helped people.

Mom wasn’t living here at the time but she spent days watching CNN non stop. It is still hard to believe it happened, it is something no one in their right mind would have ever thought of happening.
9/11 I’ll be a day that I shall never forget as long as I live. Living is far away as I do from New York City does not make it any less tragic. To think that our country was invaded and that we lost thousands of innocent citizens. And I look around the world today and seeing it happening in country after country.
That is a day I will never forget. It takes a special person to become a first responder and risk their lives for others. Thanks for hosting. XO

It is so very important to remember one and all, so many still suffer today the effects of that tragedy.
I remember every single detail at my own time of viewing that on TV. Can’t ever forget it. The disbelief I had, the thinking about how it happened…from the first second to the end. I happened to have been on a long break of 4 days at the time, standing half in and half out of the deck door with my coffee in hand…the sun pouring warmly in on me..the beauty of the day…to what I was wearing. I expected a call from my work any second, to respond. When I left the house after a few hours there was not a single vehicle on the roads anywhere in town.
We will always remember…

#1 was living in Chicago when this happened. She remembers so well watching the day unfold with utter horror.
I had forgotten today is the 11 of Sept, thanks for the reminder. Usually bob has news on 24/7 but today he has had it on car shows since 4 am.. for that I am thankful, no news on the TV. I will never forget the sight of those buildings imploding, it is burned in my brain. God bless the heros that are still surviving today.
Over 48,000! Even one is bad, but that is just unthinkable, and brings tears to my eyes.

What a lovely thanksgiving and remembrance this day! Many lives were lost that day but many were saved had it not been for first responders or the average person rising to the challenge that horrific day.

Thank God for all you have and for the blessings He continues to give. Pray for those who lost much in those dark days. Please remember, where there is hate, God does not abide. Always be mindful of everything around. Evil is always near waiting for an opportunity to strike, not by plane but with a knife, a bullet, a vehicle,…
We will never forget what happened that day and are always thankful for our first responders.
I’m thankful for another day—another do-over. Today is a sad day in our nation’s history. I wonder if we’ve learned anything. The unity our country experienced for the weeks and months following was exceptional. Unfortunately, I’ve not seen that happen again since. And, the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk doesn’t seem to be doing anything to unite people against the evil that permeates our culture now.
I will never forget this horrific day.

I could never forget this day. We had just come back from a morning walk and we heard on the radio what had happened and then the TV went on. It was unbelievable and horrific. For days, I watched the news. You couldn’t not.
We will never forget that day and are thankful for all the heroes that responded despite the danger.
