Happy Tabby Tuesday: Here Comes Leaf Season

happy tabby tuesday simon 10072025

Hello everyone, I know that you know it’s me Simon, so I will just pass on a howdy to all of you. HOWDY!!! It’s beginning to look a lot like Leafmas MOL! We all love our leaf mat, it’s very comfy and very cozy, purrfect for Leaf Season or just any old time. Sadly our Dad doesn’t seem like a big fan of Leaf Season. The Dad said he just got all the leaves cleaned out of the gutters and now the leaves are starting to fall again. Hey, we got lots of big trees so that always means lots of leaves everywhere. I guess that means that the Dad will be busy outside again. Y’all have a fun Happy Tabby Tuesday, I’ll be seeing you soon.

  1. Simon, we know just how your dad feels about the leaves. I would much rather they stay up on the trees and stay green. But they are dropping here also and we’ve already had one big round of cleanup. You’re Greenleaf however looks like it may stay fresh for a very long time.

  2. I understand why your dad doesn’t like the leaves so much! A lot of hard work to clear them. They are lovely to look at though and plenty over here just now :-D

  3. When Mom bought our house there were three trees so she planted a bunch and now she wishes she had never done that. Trees are so much work and she really doesn’t like all the mess and work that has to be done.

  4. That is a cool leaf. This is my favorite season because it gets cooler although I don’t think it got the memo because it was in the 80’s yesterday and supposed to be today too.

  5. We love your leaf rug, too! Our Mom still hasn’t cleaned out the gutters from last fall, BOL! Well, there WERE stingy insects living up there, and that woulda sent her to the ER, so…guess she can do it now that the stingy bugs are gone, just in time for them to fill up again, BOL BOL! 6. Simon, that is a mighty big leaf you’ve got there! You look spiffy today! Leaf season was slow to start but I think it’s here for sure now!

  7. Leaf clean-up is the most un-fun thing in the Autumn. If only the leaves could fall all at once and the peeps wouldn’t have to rake and clean for six weeks! Your eyes match your leaf mat perfectly, Simon!

  8. Yes it’s almost that time of year here too. We don’t have a lot of leaves here though. We’re happy about that. It’s good to see you, Simon. You’re most handsome.

Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to all the kitties and my very best to their wonderful peeps. ♥

  9. Mornin’, Simon – “Your” leaf mat looks quite comfy and big enough for a brother or sister to join you for snooze/cuddle time.

  10. Gee Simon, that is a BIG leaf ;)
Guess it is that time of year.
We do not have leaves that big…MOL
We have had such a dry Summer that we are not sure how our leaves will do.
Everything is pretty brown and super dry.
Now, that is not too bad for cats that like sunshine ;)

  11. we love leaves and we love TREEs and the neighbor across the street took down every tree on his lot this past week, 5 big gorgeous trees. the neighbor behind our back yard, yesterday had a crane and a bobcat take down FIVE gorgeous Palms, the big ones with 6 foot fronds.. it ruined our view, the sun is now blinding in my kitchen and I can’t stand to look out the sliding glass door….. had to spit that out my heart hurts… bring on the trees and leaves

  12. We need to get petcretary up on the ladder to get all of the trees (Saplings), out of our gutter, we have gutter guards, but some seeds must be able to pass through…
We have lots of leaves coming down earlier than normal for here because the trees were stressed from all the heat and drought conditions around our area.

    Enjoy your leaf mat, Simon!

  13. We don’t have a lot of big trees on our property but both of our neighbors do. The leaves have started to fall already even though they haven’t even changed colors yet. And we just had our gutters cleaned too with the news that we are needing new ones soon.

  14. You are looking great, Simon. I wonder if your dad would like those kinds of rain diverters that don’t catch leaves. They do have them, although it might be too expensive right now to take out the regular gutters and replace them.

  15. I love that leaf mat, but I’m guessing I wouldn’t like all the leaves falling in a gutter that I would have to clean out. fFngers crossed for your poor dad.

  16. Charlee: “We don’t have the same kind of leaf season here as they do back East, but those nasty eucalyptus that are so popular drop their leaves any time they feel like it, so we used to have a yard full of those all the time. Fortunately all the ones near our house have finally been cut down!”
