Hello everyone, it’s me Maxwell and I’m here for Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Thanks to you all for stopping by. We are always thankful to each of you for joining us! Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. Today I have a trio of thankfuls to share with you and that is a darn good thing. You know me, I’m always thankful for good news and it is important to be thankful, always, that’s what Angel Brian taught us. First up, The Rainbow Bridge. On October 30, 2024 we shared the good news that The Rainbow Bridge in North Carolina was being rebuilt. It was destroyed when Hurricane Helene went through that area. You can see that post HERE. Many pet parents attached their beloved pet’s collars to the Bridge and they were washed away. I’m thankful that a bunch of those collars have been found, cleaned and placed back on the new Rainbow Bridge.

As most of you know, parts of Western North Carolina faced utter devastation from Hurricane Helene. Many parts of that area are no where close to being fully recovered. Some still don’t have homes, a place to live or running water. Just to prove that there are so many good people left in our world, take a look at this story from Medina, Ohio HERE:
What those wonderful people of Medina, Ohio did for 200 residents of the Hurricane Helene devastation, who lost everything, is beyond amazing and we are so thankful for their pure goodness and kind hearts.

I remember you telling me about the Bridge. I am so very glad it is back. These things man so much to people, they are important. (We got Thomas’s ashes back today so glad the news is sort of appropriate). Toulouse misses his buddy.
Charlee: “Those are three excellent thankfuls for sure! We are very glad that so many of those lost collars were recovered. Otherwise it would be like people’s memories were washed away forever.”
Oona: “Macy, can you teach Oona the look you used to steer the hurricane away? Oona might like to use it to knock Chaplin over now and then.”

How delightful to have the Bridge rebuilt and some of the collars found, what good people there are in this old world, and boy, howdy! I hope Macy can use that scaring technique every time there’s a storm.

That’s a lot to be thankful for! Fingers crossed no hurricanes landing this year.
Oh that’s so good to have the Rainbow Bridge in NC built back, and some of the collars found. Also, good for those people from Ohio, going to help the people in NC.We’re also so glad that the hurricane turned away from land; we were so happy that it did indeed turn away.

how great that the bridge is repaired… and what wonderful people who helped out.. it is so sad to see the people who lost all things they owned…
Three stories of wonderful blessings – thanks Maxwell – so glad the Rainbow Bridge – or at least part of it was found and reinstalled…..that has always touched our hearts. Also happy the storms went out to sea! Also isn’t it wonderful that in times of hardship like after a storm when there is so much loss, people near and far come together to help. Makes our hearts happy!

We had never heard of the real rainbow bridge and it was so sad it was destroyed. How awesome it is back and they found some of the collars. Your area has really had a lot of destruction, glad the current hurricane didn’t come in and do more damage.
Macy, humans can do such good deeds if they put their minds to it. We are so sorry that North Carolina is still in such trouble a year later. We too are thankful for our home in good weather at this time.

Angel Brian, I am thankful for this blog. It is the first one I see each morning and the first I read. It’s like visiting a relative. :-) That’s what Mom and I think.
Those are wonderful events to be thankful for. Especially happy to see all the pet collars retrieved and being hung on the newly built rainbow Bridge.

The first two certainly show the goodness that is still in humankind, and what love rather than hate can accomplish. The 3rd one is just short of a miracle. So glad our southeast coast (and you) didn’t get hit by that hurricane!

Mini Mighty Mace ya for you putting all of your itty bitty effort into purrsuading the hurricane to go back out into the Atlantic. I think it was in 2019 when we took a week touring so many lovely areas in our mountains. We saw the Rainbow Bridge …we were so sad to learn helene destroyed the bridge. Medina, OHIO residents are now honorary NC residents. Big thankyou

Whoa…that Macy must have some powerful magic in her paws. Glad the hurricane is moving away from land. Thanks for sharing such precious stories about goodness. LOVE that story about the Rainbow Bridge collars being collected from last year’s storm.
Hurricane Helene did an awful job on western North Carolina. The rebuilding process continues. I’m thankful that a lot more of the parkway has opened. We hope to take a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway sometime soon. And as always, I’m thankful for dear furriends like you and your hoomans!
Those are all outstanding reasons to be thankful, Maxwell. We did not know about that Rainbow Bridge. If we lived near you, we would have loved to add mementos of our Angels to the bridge too.

That is amazing that the collars were found and could be restored….a small thing but so important when you are in mourning.
