Today I’m thankful for all of the humans who are trying to help those in need of food during the government shut down. Many are without food since SNAP benefits have yet to be paid. Many food pantries are feeling the crush and influx of those in need of food. Fortunately many are stepping up to make food donations and many food pantries, at least in our area, have pet food available too. I know this is not a fix but at least something is being done. There are still many who are not able to get to a food pantry and I pray that their needs will be met too. I’m always thankful when kind hearts jump in to help, no matter the crisis.
So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Don’t forget to leave your daily link over at The Cat Blogosphere for a chance to grab an entry for the end of the month drawing. Oh, and please remember to visit our stores at GiftingTopia.com and Etsy. Okay, that’s it for now! Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

That’ a great thing to be thankful, Maxwell. We, too, are so grateful for those who help other humans and animals.
We are thankful for so many things! Mom says that living an attitude of Gratitude focuses on appreciating the positive aspects of life and fosters thankfulness for both big and small things. By doing this, we can be happier, improve relationships, and we can help others have a more positive outlook on life! Thanks for YOUR attitude of Gratitude every week guys! Keep being AWESOME! Marvelous Marv
I know our food bank also gives a out food for pets.
We’ve given extra, including as a church. There are so many who need help, I’m glad to see people doing everything they can.
Chaplin: “It’s great to see people helping each other while everything is going so sideways. I don’t know what I would do if my food stopped magically appearing when I expect it.”
Lulu: “You would probably do what you’ve been doing since the time change and wander around meowing really loudly waking everybody up because you think you should get fed.”
Chaplin: “Well, I *should* get fed! And so should everyone else!”
Oh we’re glad people are stepping up to help others, Maxwell! It’s happening in our area, too, I’m happy to say!
That is a great picture of you, Maxwell! And yes, a good thankful…for all who are helping when things are in crisis mode. Around here, too.
It’s a worry Maxwell, and we hope someone kicks the powers that be in the shins and feeds folks. Not having enough kibble is scary. Thank you people who are helping.
Such a handsome photo of you, Maxwell!
Maxwell, our community has rallied to help out folks too, and it gladdens the heart.
I’m grateful that our community makes it so easy for us to give help. ❤️
You are looking very handsome, Maxwell. I am glad so many are stepping up to help while your country is in such turmoil. I didn’t really understand the shutdown but just read a long article on it. I could say much more. but it is better that I don’t.
Hi Maxwell! You look like you’re hoping a treat falls from the ceiling and you grab it before any of the others…..good luck with that! There are a LOT of local businesses and churches helping those in need in our town – we’re proud to say that and to support it.
Hugs, Teddy
Hello Maxwell,
It is nice to help out when we can, cute photo. Take care, have a great day!
You are such a handsome boy, Maxwell, and being generous is always a good thing. We are thankful that we have our power as the wind is wicked crazy here!
You are looking so handsome with your gorgeous black furs!
This is a very serious problem. When our town has their Christmas in July to collect food for the winter, they’re unprepared for a winter that is going to have maybe hundreds more needing food. We hope we can help as much as possible.
It’s always nice when caring hearts step up to do what they can in time of need. I pray we can weather this mess. Not that they need the pay but those elected who refuse to or can’t do their job should not be paid. That’s what would happen to you or me. Why should they be any different? Oh well…this isn’t a place to rant but to show gratitude. Many aren’t but I’m very thankful for President Trump.
Maxwell, I love when people share what’s needed, and more importantly, love to those who need it.
Thank you, Maxwel, for such a kind heart. I pray for those who can’t get the things they need this month
Maxwell, you are so handsome we’re sure girlcats are swooning! We’re always glad to see humans helping each other.
That is a wonderful thankful. It is nice to see people coming together to help others. Thanks for hosting. Have a nice day. XO
Hi handsome Maxwell! We are also thankful for all of those helping to provide food for those who are not getting help from SNAP right now and especially families with pets.
Many are stepping up to help. Kindness goes a long way.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. ♥
It’s sad to think so many people and their pets are struggling at this time.
Mornin’, Maxwell – Sure is a welcoming sight, your handsome sweet innocent face! My family is grateful and thankful everyday and don’t take anything for granted. We had extra cat food dry and wet as our ferals have dwindled down quite a bit and gave the other day to a friend who feeds several ferals. We both felt so blessed!
love you all and your desire to make things better
we have seen this on national and local news and we are thankful for those that help. its a sad sad sad situation…
The church where I work gives out bags of food on Tuesdays, and now we’re giving them out every day we are open. We’ve had twice as many folks come this week as usual. Oh, and the girls say Hi to Maxwell.
The pawrents are a part of two different drives, one at their church and one at our RV Club! It is very important to always reach out to those in need.
xoxo,

WONDERFUL that so many are helping with food needs for so many. In Sonoma California, there are eight centers distributing food.
We’re so thankful that many people are stepping up to fill the needs of the poor souls who are being held hostage by politicos. Bless you.
That’s great Maxwell and love the photo of you. They have food banks here for the people in need but sadly the pets are neglected over here.
I’ve seen a lot of people stepping up to help animals at this time too.
I don’t know how many food pantries stock pet food but I worry tremendously about pets at times like this.
Siempre es bueno agradecer y especial a los que desean ayudar. Te mando un beso.
Epic post Maxwell, it’s so nice to help others where we can! 😻😻😻
That’s a very great Thankful, Maxwell, thank you for bringing the message out💗Double Pawkisses for a Happy Caturday to all of you🐾😽💞
I donated $200 to our local food bank about a week ago!
