Thankful Thursday Blog Hop: Not As Bad As Bad Is Good

Hi Sierra, wanna play?

Hello everyone, it’s me Maxwell and I’m here for Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Thanks to you all for stopping by. We are always thankful to each of you for joining us!  Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!

Hey, how you like that for a blog post title? Today, as well as the last few days, we’re all thankful that the big and bad Winter storm wasn’t as bad in our neighborhood as it could have been. We were supposed to have a major ice storm and indeed many areas had bunches of ice. Not many miles away from us there was one inch of ice and many trees came tumbling down and out went the power.

We got about one inch of sleet, which is much better than ice. Then the temps dropped and it all froze on the ground and on the deck out back. It’s just been way too cold. We’re also thankful that, at least so far, our feral family made it through. We offered them to come inside but they weren’t having it. Now Storm Round Two is in the works for this weekend. According to our weather guessers we might get snow, we might get lots of snow, or we might get no snow LOL. Guess we’ll see.

So, what are you thankful for today? Tell us in the comments and then join us for our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.  Please remember to visit our stores on Etsy and at The Tee Shirt Site.  Remember, adopt cats, we deserve it!!!!! More Forever Homes More Often! Purrrrr! Zip! Later!

  1. The weatherguessers just don’t do it like they used to, Maxwell.
We hope that whatever weather comes your way, that it’s just a dusting.
And sending purrs to your feral crew.

  2. The weather lately has been angry at us for some reason, it only knows!
I am thankful that you all ‘weathered’ that last storm quite well.
Stay warm and cozy! If you get a lot more snow, maybe those outside kitties might change their minds…

  3. I’m thankful we only got cold, and it’s all we’re supposed to get this weekend. Let’s hope it isn’t so bad this time around for any of us.

  4. Glad you missed the worst ice! Ice missed us so far but we’re going to get really low temps soon, so we’ll see. We’re glad we’re now able to keep Silver totally inside, he was the last outdoor cat we had. Until others arrive …

  5. We will pass on anymore new snow until what we have is gone and we are very thankful that we never lost our heat or electricity and we feel for those who did.

  6. Maxwell we are finally dug out here. But we saw the forecast and I am sorry it’s supposed to be so bad again, but not here thankfully. It is so bitterly cold it’s unbelievable. Sorry the outdoor kitties don’t want to come in but you’re doing all that you can for them and they know it. Be sure to have your toboggan in your boots ready in case it snows.

  7. We finally had someone come and clear our driveway and garage last night – we are free – we had a two and three inch cap of ice on the snow and didn’t have the equipment to remove it. Took several days to find someone who could – are are now free. Looks like maybe no major snow this weekend….thankfully. Stay safe and warm INSIDE!

    Hugs, Teddy and Mom Pam

  8. Yes it had me thinking that title Maxwell!! That’s good it’s not been so bad! Over here it’s been really mild, bit chilly at night though! Today no rain so far!

  9. We’re thankful for the same thing here. A dusting of snow, a bit of light ice hanging from trees, that’s it. And Mommy’s thankful for her boss closing the church office on Monday, anyway! XOX Xena and my pack

  10. Chaplin: “We’re glad the bad ice missed you guys, but, wow! Another winter storm already? Can’t it lay off for a little while?”
Lulu: “Well, it IS winter, you know. My favorite time of year. I would borrow some of your snow if I could, guys!”

  11. Maxwell great title. As my friend in PA said this is the Winter of Discontent.YIKES
We too are expecting snow 1-6″ they have no idea. I have week’s groceries and am very thankful it will just be snow.
    Hugs cecilia

  12. Sometimes the weather folks get it right and sometimes they don’t. I’m glad you all made it through. We always worry about the feral kitties outside.

Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties and my very best to their wonderful peeps. ♥

  13. Mornin’, Maxwell – Glad your storm wasn’t as bad as predicted for your neighborhood. I was concerned about your feral family though. Hopefully they were safe inside their heated shelter. Your dad and mom take wonderful loving care of all of you.

  14. Hello,
I am glad your storm was not too bad. We had a couple inches of sleet on top of 6-7 inches of snow. Stay warm and safe! Take care, enjoy your day!

  15. Hello beautiful Maxwell! So glad the storm was not so bad there. It was not here either. We are under a fresh foot of snow (on top of our previous one-foot on the ground), but no ice thankfully! Stay warm!

  16. Might get snow, a lot of snow, or no snow…sounds like CYA! I still miss my Mo so desperately but he never would’ve made it through the brutal winter we’ve been having this year.

  17. This is a great caption, Maxwell, you always have great captions and you always looking great too😸We don’t believe in weather girls anymore, they have new standard rules here, and tell you how cold it feels (for them of course) instead of how cold it is f.e. so we just hope there’s no more storm coming your way🙏🏼and wish you a wonderful weekend and here are a few Double Warm Pawkisses to accomplish that🐾😽💞

  18. Great title! We’re glad the ferals are fine, and mew gus to of course! The weather peepsare no better at predicting it than they were way back in 1985. At BBHQ, we’re still waiting for Snowmageddon, which will blanket the entire UK…as was advised weeks ago!
