Thankful Thursday Blog Hop: Skin Cancer Is Gone

Hi Sierra, how are the boys?

Hello everyone, it’s me Maxwell and I’m here for Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Thanks to you all for stopping by. We are always thankful to each of you for joining us!  Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!

Today we are thankful that the skin cancer is gone. Seriously, skin cancer is nothing to mess with. Our Mom had an unusual place on her leg that didn’t look too good so she made an appointment with her dermatologist, the same one our Dad goes too. While she was there the doctor did a biopsy on two spots, not just one. The doctor spoted a second one. The biopsy on the original spot that the Mom went in for was negative, but the second spot was skin cancer. The Mom went back on Tuesday and the doctor removed the remaining skin cancer. The doctor said it’s all gone now and it was good it was caught early. The doctor also said that it was good that the first spot on her leg got her in there so that the second spot could be discovered and removed. We love our Mom and we’re all so very thankful that the skin cancer is gone.

  1. OMCs I truly understand your THANKFUL. I had a weird spot on the outside of my right leg just below my knee. Inn January 2023i saw my dermatologist…in March 2023 I had MOHs surgery on it. So very thankful Mom is a OK. And most of all that she acted quickly getting to her Dermatologist. I had a nickel size area…it healed nicely and now is hardly noticeable.
Tell her I send her healing wishes.

  2. That is great news that the skin cancer was found and removed, Maxwell! It’s good to remind everyone too, especially those who have been been exposed to lots of sunlight over the years.

  3. YAY! So glad your Mom is OK. Many people know my Mom went through that battle some years ago too – it proves the hope and good treatment (in my Mom’s case experimental treatment) can bring a happy ending. Sending hugs for success! Teddy

  4. We are thankful, along with all of you, that all is well and good with your wonderful Mommy. May one and all in your family have continued good health.

  5. Maxwell that would have been a very scary doctor visit. Sometimes good luck just runs the right way. We’re glad she had it removed and that you won’t have to worry about mom not being able to give you hair brushes. We’re thankful for a little ease and the bitter cold temperatures.

  6. That is great that your mom got a appt and had it taken care of. We know a lot of people who have found skin cancer in the past couple years and for most it has been a quick removal and gone.

  7. I am grateful for so many many things, Maxwell. And how good that your Mom made her way to the dermatologist and is safe as can be now, for all of you fur babies and for your Dad. XXX

  8. Charlee: “That is great news that your Mom had a sharp eye to notice the first spot and her doctor had a sharp eye to notice the second one.”
Chaplin: “Yes it is! We are no fans of ‘The Big C’ here and you and your Mom are well rid of it. We send lots of purrs for it to stay away forever!”
Lulu: “And we dogs send lots of tail wags!”

  9. A wonderful thankful. I’m so glad mom took care of this.

  11. What excellent news for Mom Celesta. Our mom had a skin cancer several years ago and lost two close friends to malignant melanoma, so is super happy for your mom. We are thankful for some warmer weather as are Mom and Dad. We have had some catio time and the trash was actually collected today for the first time in three weeks.
