Hey everyone, I hope you are having a mighty fine Tuesday. It’s been exciting around these parts, really exciting!!! You see, a great big bumble bee found a way in to our house and it was flying around making a big old buzzing sound. It was mostly hanging around in our foyer area which has maybe a 24 foot ceiling. That dang bee was way, way up at the top too. We had all gathered on the steps looking up at the ceiling. That was the Mom and Dad’s first clue that something was odd.
The Mom and Dad didn’t want us to get stung so they were determined to get it out of the house. Of course a few of the wild sibs were determined that they were gonna catch it. Fortunately the big old bee came down lower and the Dad was able to get that crazy buzzer outta the house. Let me tell you, it was sure an exciting and interesting time here!

Oh Simon that musta been exciting for sure. I get bees and wasps and other insects in my house and have a tupperware box to catch them and set them free. You know me, though usually get photos of them first! I do get worried that my cats or human kitten would get stung too. Great the dad managed to get the bee out. Cat entertainment for sure! :-D
Well done to your dad getting the bee out. That must have been a lot of fun to watch.
If a bee or a wasp got into the house, Mummy would probably try to shoo it out. But sometimes, We see hornets buzzing around outside the windows. The windows all have mesh screens, except for the bathrooms, so if Mummy sees one of those mean critters buzzing outside, She goes and shuts the bathroom window with a bang.
Did We ever mention how Mummy – does not exactly love insects (except for butterflies and ladybirds)?
WOWZERS….well those bees and other “stingy” critters are fun to watch but dangerous to catch. We have noticed that the bees we are seeing this year are BIGGER – wonder what that means??????!!!
Hugs, Teddy and Mom Pam
add a r to the bee and it is better and more fun ;O))
Sounds exciting, I am glad you were all safe and the bee found it’s way outside. Take care, have a great day!
yikes, buzzy bees are scary to Beaus Mama, and daddy is the bee chaser and he is out of commission. I may have to hire your dad if one gets in
The bee hunters! You don’t want them to sting you but we bet it was exciting for all of you while it was flying around.
Certainly nothing is exciting as that Simon. Leaves blowing across the yard is the most exciting thing that’s happened up here lately.
That happens here too sometimes. #1 is a pretty dab hand at trapping and releasing!
Purrs,
The Chans
Amazing how something that tiny flying around can cause all of that excitement! Glad no one got stung.
LOL…must have been a lot of fun :-)
That does sound like a lot of fun. I am glad your dad rescued it because bumblebees are good. XO
Hurray for Dad, saving you all from that big bumblebee!
They might be fun to watch, but I don’t think it would be fun to get stung by a bee. I’m glad to hear your parents were able to get it out of the house.
Sometimes we wish us furkids had smart phones so we could video those “fun” moments…Mama says she is glad we don’t because she would look pretty silly flailing around trying to get a bee out of the house. BOL

Yikes, we had one the other day too!!!
Oh my goodness! I’m glad your Dad got the bumble bee out of the house before it could sting any of you!! Or your Dad and/or Mom!!
I remember the first time Ducky got stung by a bee – I had to take her to the ER vet because it stung her on the inside of her upper lip and the pain had the poor girl so anxious I was really afraid for her. They gave her a shot of Benadryl and watched her for about half an hour before releasing her, so she was really tired the rest of the day. But wouldn’t you know – the next day she was right back out there sticking her snout where it didn’t belong. She ended up getting stung another 2 or 3 times before she learned to leave the bees alone. And as sassy as Miss Zoey is – just like Ducky! – I’m surprised she hasn’t been stung at least once in her almost 3-1/2 years of life with Zen and me!
Charlee: “Well that sounds like a good time! And I guess that’s why they call them bumble bees, because they bumble into places where they shouldn’t be …”
I sure think your Dad for saving the Bumble bee!!
Simon, you do look rather astonished in the picture! Love the way it show off your long ear floof! We’re happy that your Dad was able to get that big buzzy bee out! Our kitties have watched a few buzzies through the windows, that’s about it for excitement here!
Shakespeare Simon ~ glad Dad saved the day and you are all safe ~ Being ~ Hugs, ^_^
Great to see you, Simon. I always know I’ll see you on Tuesdays.
Yikes on the bee. I know that would drive our kitties crazy too. I’m glad dad got it back outside where it belongs.
Thank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Scritches to all the kitties and my very best to their wonderful peeps. ♥
9 cheers for you all spotting the bee and making sure the staff saw it.

OMG I have a vision of what went down and it’s making me LOL!
Mornin’, Simon – I can see by your big-eyed expression you were concerned about that bumble bee. Glad your Dad was able to shoo it outside without anybody getting stung and the bee left unharmed.
Exciting! We had a honey buzzer in the house a few days ago. Clarence and Melinko were fascinated. Tyler slept through the whole thing. Jim caught it and returned it outside.
We seldom get bees in our den, though we often have stink bugs and elder bugs, LOL! What we do get quite a few of, is big wasps, yikes! They have to be shooed out in a big hurry!
Glad no one got stung, and the bee was helped to go where it belongs…outside!
Bees scare Mommy. She would end up in the hospital. And we don’t want stung, either! XOX Xena Pee Es We’re very glad you got the bee out without anyone getting hurt.
No, it hasn’t been nearly as exciting here. 😊❤️
Haven’t seen bumble bee, yet.
Now it would be a lot of fun to bee at YOUR house!
I adore those types of homes but never considered such a complication regarding wildlife. I’m glad all ended for the best. Be well, my dears!
You guys had an exciting day at your house and we are so happy that no one got stung!
Your spooked expression definitely looks as if you saw a bumblebee! Cute photo! I love it!
The kitties and Granny over at Angels Whisper had a similar problem too. But all’s well that ends well !
That would be a little too much excitement for me! Not a fan of things that sting…
That surely was exciting, Simon! Whenever bugs come in the house, our dad tries to shoo them outside, too.
Occasionally a bumble bee will bumble its way into a house, but they are the most easygoing of all the bees and seldom sting. In fact, you can even pet them sometimes without them getting agitated. One actually got into my bed and was under the covers when I got in, and it didn’t sting, I was able to scoop it into a cup and get it out of the house. Some people call the big, fat things flying pandas.
MOL…we can picture the whole story…MOL…We help Granny too with catching effurry flying object…MOL…Bee Happy, sweetie😺Extra Pawkisses for all of you🐾😘💞
Dad to the rescue! Wow, your Dad is brave trapping a bumble bee. We like them but are a little afraid mostly because of the two wasp stings Mum got last summer. She hates wasps.
Your fur-iend,
