Thankful Thursday Blog Hop: General Hospital Part Deux

Purrs Sierra

Hello everyone, it’s me Maxwell and I’m here for Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Thanks to you all for stopping by. We are always thankful to each of you for joining us!  Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. If you are new to Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop, thanks for hopping in, we really do get excited when new blogger pals join us!

Today our Thankful comes from our Mom and Dad. As you might remember from our post back in July 2025, our Mom and Dad are fans of the Soap Opera General Hospital. They got to see and meet Maurice Bernard, who plays the character Sonny Corinthos. You can see that post HERE. Last week Steve Burton, who plays the character Jason Morgan, and Bradford Anderson, who plays the character Damien Spinelli, brought their comedy show to our town. They appeared at The Comedy Zone Greenville and they were the first show at the all new Comedy Zone venue. The show was entitled Stonecold and The Jackal.

The show was so much fun and the Mom and Dad are thankful that they not only got to see the show but they got to meet the stars.

  1. Maxwell OMCs OMCs what a wonderful opportunity for Mom and Dad. It looks like the two guys were as thrilled to meet your Dad as he was to meet them.

  3. I’m so thankful for Thankful Thursday and Dad, who makes it a point to visit every post of ours, with his super genuine kindness.

I’m also grateful that I hopped into the AtoZ 2026 bandwagon, when i almost thought I won’t!
It’s good to be back to my blog writing about what we love doing, animal and nature communication. Needed to get that writing mojo back and here it is. :)

Maxwell you are the handsomest and I’m super happy for Mom and Dad and the great time they had.
Big love to all of you.

  4. That is totally cool! I’ve been a General Hospital fan for more years than I can remember through thick and thin. What fun to meet some of the actors – I always thought the GH crew were the most “believable” bunch of all the soaps.

    Hugs, Pam

  5. What a fun way for Mom and Dad to have some entertainment and meet some people that they’ve been watching on TV for years. This is great. We’re grateful this morning that our power outage yesterday was short-lived. And that it’s warm enough to be raining instead of snowing.

  6. For years Mom watched All My Children and General Hospital but now it has been years since she has watched any daytime TV. That’s very cool getting to meet some stars!

  7. oh wow, that is wonderful to meet this stars for real… that is always the best evidence they really exist ;O)

  8. Mom used to watch General Hospital when she came home from high school and back then, the show was only half an hour. It’s been a long time since she’s watched an episode!

  9. Oh man! I KNOW the was just a super moment getting to meet those two and I would have been all girlish about it if it had been me. Glad you had that opportunity and got to enjoy a great show (comedy) as well! Jackal huh? Hehee.

  10. Our Mama was a big fan of General Hospital (along with One Life to Live and All My Children) back in the olden days, how exciting to get to meet some of the actors!!
    xoxo,
    Rosy & Sunny

  11. Good for you. How fun to get to meet the stars of a show you love so much.

Today I’m thankful for a new day to enjoy.

Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Scritches to all the kitties and my very best to their wonderful peeps. ♥

  12. ooooh one degree of separation ! How fun not only to meet in person but go to a comedy show… love that! And all those handsome men in the pics is a bonus! Happy Easter y’all

  13. Charlee: “Our Dada says his roommate back in college was a big fan of ‘General Hospital’! I bet he would’ve been super excited to see this show, even though I guess maybe it’s not the same characters anymore that there were 40 years ago …”

  14. Mornin’, Maxwell – That’s wonderful that your Dad and Mom had a great night at the comedy show! I used to watch “General Hospital” many many years ago, back when Dr. Steve and Nurse Jessie were on. P.S. You’re looking very handsome as always, Maxwell!

  15. How cool that your peeps got to meet those actors! When the Lady was in high school many many many years ago, she got hooked on General Hospital and watched it for years. But then her interest in the show waned, life got in the way (like having a full time job during the day when it was on) and she stopped. But she has many fond memories like watching Luke and Laura’s wedding.

  16. I cannot believe how long these soap operas have been on air. And the fact so many folks continue acting on them is astonishing. I recall coming home from school and watching both “The Young and the Restless” and “As the World Turns” with my mother.

The book “Not Young, Still Restless” by the late, great Jeanne Cooper is a fascinating read. On another interesting note, Meg Ryan acted in “As the World Turns” early in her career.

    Be well!
