Hey everybody, it’s me the Kiki with your Monday post-fireworks report. They were sure loud, loud, loud Saturday night and they were like the famous battery bunny, they kept going and going and going! They finally stopped about 3 o’clock in the morning. The were plenty loud last night too. I case you don’t know where we live, we live in the South, South Carolina to be exact, and the fireworks are legal here. For the most part, rude people can set them off just about anywhere and at anytime. They are most rude about it too. There were a lot of scared kitties here Saturday night, I wasn’t bothered by them that much, but I think I was the only one. Hopefully all the other kitties will stay calm, cool and collected now. Have a fun week, I’ll see you soon.

Kiki we had fireworks again LAST night! Some people haven’t noticed that July 4th is in the past now! LOL Anyway, they weren’t like on the 4th so we all were pretty much able to sleep last night. AND the weather will be a bit cooler today than in the 100s like it’s been. YAY! Happy Monday.
Hugs, Teddy
The fireworks were still going last night even after the storm hope your days going forward are fireworks free Kiki
If we didn’t have such rainy weather, we would be hearing more fireworks too. One night of fireworks is enough for anybody!
Dear Kiki and siblings … paws together, purrhaps, maybe … we’ll all be lucky not to have to deal with those dangedblasted things for almost another full year. [oops, furgots about new years eve …]
Kiki, we have to say we’re glad the weekend is over too. With a boat parade on our Lake Friday night and fireworks, and 4th of July fireworks at the community center Saturday night. Unbelievable. But now maybe we can get down to some quiet
WOW, finally mama knows where you live…SC. She had a good friend from college days in Greenlee, she thinks that’s the name of the town….glad the big bangs are over. Speaking of which, tell your mama and papa that the series The Big Bang is really funny!!!!
That is a great photo of you. You look so happy and proud. We too have had a nightmare weekend with fireworks being legal any day or time. Last night it was again until we don’t know when as we finally fell asleep. Such a stupid thing being allowed to make noise. What fun is noise? Glad the weekend is over!
Hello,
Wow Kiki, that is too long to hear fireworks. Poor kitties, I know they were happy to have them finally end.
Cute photo! Take care, enjoy your day and have a great week ahead.
Lucky you, I love fireworks!
I hope the firework is finally OVER!
I hope the firework is really OVER, Kiki.
We will be getting our fireworks on July 14th, although our town’s big display will be on the 13th. To be honest, we’re not too bothered by them.
Purrs,
The Chans
Kiki you look just darling, but those fireworks were a nuisance here in our southern area too. Not just on the 4th but the night before and last night too.
Kiki, I’m sure everyone is happy they’re over and done with. Celebrating is one thing, being obnoxious about it is another!
We are sure everyone will be catching up on all of the lost sleep today from those loud, loud loud fireworks over the weekend. Fireworks are illegal here in Chicago, but you would never never know it!
We can’t have fireworks here because of the fire danger. That’s a real blessing.
We had fireworks AND a thunderstorm last night. Tooo scary! We hope it’s over now.
Kiki, it’s sad to read that folks are so rude with the fireworks!
Guess that’s Americans: no one call tell us anything.
Hello baby. Fireworks can be hard to deal with. Where I lived for yrs and then again when I lived in my childhood home, folks around would start shooting fireworks two weeks before the 4th and then again two weeks after. Out here in rural Tn., I heard some fireworks, back behind me in the distance but it only lasted about 30 mins and then it was done. Emmy Lou, dog granddaughter, heard them and shook the couch. The girls did not react but the day before when a storm came through, loader then the fireworks, the girls shot out for different rooms.
The fireworks went on until late…or early morning hours on Saturday too. Luckily they died down a little Sunday.
We sure hope the boomers let up for you soon!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
People who do that– have brains that stopped growth when they were 8 yrs. old. No development of any sort. It must be H-E-double hockey sticks being married to those oafs!
Then, you have your jerks, well past teen years driving around with no muffler, or one specialized to be as ear splitting as possible. Racing up and down streets. They are always men. Many from their 30’s on. Also teens. Probably helped by their jackass fathers.
Hm. Mad much here? Nah….. (yes I am…can’t stand that stuff they do.)
Oh Kiki ~ am sure you are all glad the fireworks for the most part are behind us ~ In MA they are not legal so that helps somewhat but would prefer a good light show ~ Happy Week to you ~ Hugs ^_^

Kiki, we r gladz that yoo r looking and feeling better! our boomerz stopped around midnite this year which was sooner than dee yeer b4, thank cod! they have been cracking down on dee illegal fireworks here cuz stoopid peepull with thingz dat explode cause fires here. also, dee place that we live duz not allow any firewerks at all but dee naybooring areaz certainly do and we can hear them fur miles around.
Mornin’, sweet girl – We had a few scattered boom booms last night, but thankfully not many. A couple in the mid-afternoon. Idiots apparently don’t have anything better to do with $$ than buy these illegal things, certainly no consideration whatsoever for neighbors or animals. A “me me me” mentality these days. :(
I’m glad you made it through the night. Hopefully things will be quiet until New Years Eve.
We didn’t have very many this year and only on Saturday night. It was quiet last night. The kitties are happy it’s over.
Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to all the kitties and my very best to their peeps. ♥
We heard just a few boomers in the distance…on the 4th. Then last night a few in the ‘hood.
Good news is on the ones in the ‘hood was we had a 1″ rain fall about 5pm last night so everything wea fairly wet.
Hugs cecilia
they are legal here too but they have a time limit on when they can be set off. Thankfully this year the time limit in our city was honored (11:45pm)……..they were going on quite a bit in the evening but promptly stopped at 11:45 pm)…..thankfully neither of my boys are bothered by them either so that is good. Just glad they are over and I’m sure you are too!
Awww… Stay cool, little ones!
3 AM sure is rude! I hope all those boomers are done for now so everyone can relax.
We’ve had fireworks for over a week now. Hopefully they are all done now.
I’m glad y’all are doing okay. Things should settle down for awhile now. We watched the fireworks display over the capitol Saturday. They said they were going to try to break a record. I forget the number. There was whole lot of fireworks going off! It was loud listening to them on TV and I know it had to be a millions louder for those watching in person, but it was amazing! I actually told DH I kinda would’ve liked to have been there for the big event, mainly because I know we won’t see another milestone birthday in our country. Hopefully our grandkids will have a country who stands proud to be an independent republic for America’s 300th birthday!.God bless the USA!!
Ugh…we hate it when people are so rude and nasty about it. Makes you want to go pounding on the door at 5 AM to see how they like being disturbed. Hopefully they’ve got it out of their system now and peace can return to your neighborhood. You’re a brave kitty, Kiki.
You look beautiful, Kiki.
Sorry you and your siblings had to listen to all those fireworks. They are illegal here, but it doesn’t stop anyone from going to NH to get them so we heard them for hours too. XO
I don’t see what makes people so crazy about fireworks, especially those that enjoy setting them off themselves.
Espero que Kiki este mejor. Mi Franchesca tambien sufría con los fuegos artificiales. Te mando un beso y te deseo una buena semana.
All the fireworks can be scary, I wish being illegal made a difference, it doesn’t here. They just do it anyway.
I hope quiet will now spread across the realm
Hi Kiki. Can kitties take CBD oil? It works great for us pups! (For some strange reason, none of us got scared this time, even with no CBD oil!) XOX Xena and my pack
We’re glad it’s over, Kiki. We also don’t like fireworks and there are here also stoopid people who do that😾Silent Pawkisses for a Happy Day to all of you🐾😽💞
Charlee: “Awww, we hope the others are all over their fireworks hangovers by now!”
