Hello everyone, it’s me Maxwell and I’m here for Angel Brian’s Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. Thanks to you all for stopping by. We are always thankful to each of you for joining us!  Each and every Thursday we share the things for which we are most thankful and we always enjoy reading all of the things you are thankful for too. QUACK, QUACK, QUACK! Today we are all thankful that our sis Kiki is feeling better and acting more like herself again. Poor Kiki had a case of the barf-it-ups and then she stopped eating. Of course that was on a weekend so that meant a trip to the Pet Emergency place. She got some fluids and an anti-nausea injection. They wanted to do some expensive tests but the Dad opted to wait and see. She wasn’t better by the start of the regular week so the Dad took her to see our wonderful family Vet. She did xrays and said she did see anything bad in there but Kiki was half full of poop. Yikes. Our Vet said use some Laxatone and Miralax and that should break it loose. That cut some loose alright but it didn’t seem like all that much. The Dad dropped her off at the Vet place for an enema, but the pre-enema xray showed that she was all clear so she didn’t have to have an enema. She is eating normally and has her Kiki routines back. We are so thankful for that and the wonderful Vet care from our family Vet!

  10. YAY! Glad Kiki is OK. These things happen to us kitties just like some unpredictable things happen to our humans. But with good doctor care everything gets back on track. Anyway, WOO HOO things are good now you can settle down and wait for the BIG July 4th celebration. We are hoping it’s QUIET and SAFE.

  12. Dear kiki, we are so glad you did not have to go through the enema. You certainly had to go through enough already to get the feeling better. You be sure to let Mom and Dad know so if anything doesn’t feel right.

  13. Poor Kiki, having to go to the vet a few times and feeling so lousy. We are happy she is feeling better and is pretty much back to normal enough to sit with some crazy duckies!

  15. Oh that’s good mews Kiki is doing better! It’s terrible to not feel well. Tummy issues is something effurryone has dealt with one time or another. Sometimes, it’s not serious just bothersome and other times very serious. Drink plenty of water Kiki. That’s always a big help! Y’all have a happy Independence Day!

  18. I am so glad Kiki is doing better! Katie has a similar problem,. I gave her Miralax yesterday, and I’ll be cleaning out her potty soon so we will see.
    We have temps in the high 90’s, so hot that the front door which is on the west side of the house is too hot on the knob to handle as is the storm door. Next time I will use a pot holder.

  24. that sounds so similar to what we just went thru… vomiting then diarrhea… emergency vet… antibiotics and now comes the week plus of people in the hood shooting off nightly fireworks so it might start again

    so glad your kiki is better. Have you tried probiotics, one vet said to try that.
