This is going to be a bit of a short post since a lot of us still “got them noisy roofer blues” MOL! The roofing crew was here and started work at 7:00 am yesterday. We were all thankful that the Mom and Dad got up at O’Dark Thirty so we could get our breakfast before the noise started. Dang it was noisy! We’re also thankful that the rain held off and so did the high temperatures, which means the roofing crew was able to finsh up with all their tasks. Did I mention that it was noisy? Have a fun Thankful Thursday everyone!

Bless your hearts kitties and humans. I recall how very loud getting our roof was last fall.
I cannot imagine how loud it was to sensitive kitty ears.
Hugs to you all
Cecilia
Hi Maxwell! We are thankful that noise is mostly all done. Concatulations to you and your family for getting through it safe and sound. XO
Maxwell ~ glad weather held off and roof is done ~ enjoy the peace and quiet ~ Hugs ^_^
carol and ziggy ^_^
Siempre es bueno agradecer. Les mando un beso.
Maxwell, we hope this noisy roofing crew is now done!
Lucky that the rain and hots stayed away.
Now, y’all can nap and watch Bird TV without any interruptions.
I’m glad the roof is finished. Hopefully, things will be quiet for you now.
I’m so glad the roof is done!
Good Morning, handsome Maxwell! I am glad that the noise is almost over :-)
What a blessing to have them finish in one day! Enjoy the new roof.
7AM I recall work at that time.
Noisy, but over now; that sounds good to us!
It’s so peaceful when the workmen leave!
I’m sure you are VERY HAPPY that the noise makers got everything done in one day! Around here it seems to take the noise makers TWO days…..I can’t even imagine what it will be like when my Mom and Dad finally get around to having our roof replaced. I will try to hide out in the basement under the rug!
Hugs, Teddy
Maxwell, I’m glad the roofing is almost done. It IS extremely noisy and disruptive, though necessary. The good news is that it will not need to be done again for decades, perhaps never again if it’s a metal roof! 💕
The roofers get things done in a day now, which makes everyone very thankful and happy and now you can return to your normal life!
Just think how when Santa Claus comes this winter with his eight tiny reindeer they will have a new roof to land on.
What a fabulous photo of you, Maxwell!
We’re glad the crew and noise are almost done!

We didn’t like having the carpet people here a few weeks ago. We had to be in our kennels, it was noisy and everything smelled weird too. Glad your roof is done. Today you can catch up on our snoozing.
I remember that awful noise when we got our new roof years ago. How sweet of your folks to make sure you got to have breakfast in peace. Thank you for hosting. Have a great day. XO
Boy, looking at the roof outside here…it will be sooner than later that I will have the roofers here. Glad you all are all done and finished! xx
Maxwell, that is a lot to be thankful for!
Maxxwel, que bom que o pior barulhoi já passou e toimara não veha mais!
beijos, chica
We hope they finish up quicker than quick to things get back to normal for you!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
We’re glad it’s finished. Mom says it was super noisy when we had ours done too.
No posting for us today, but we are still thankful on Thankful Thursday … and thankful your home is again quiet and calm.
Me alegra que hayan terminado tan pronto. Un abrazo desde España
We are thankful for you and your family, Maxwell. What would blogging be without y’all!? And we join in your thankful for the noise being over. We don’t much like it either when guys are here banging on the roof or the house. Of course, then WE get to bark at them! XOX Xena, Lucy and Chia
I remember how noisy it was. I’m glad it’s almost over. Things will be back to normal soon.
I’m thankful that hubby and I have a date planned for tomorrow. We always enjoy being together on a date.
Thank you for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. ♥
All of you guys can be called the Noise Boys, haha.
Cute photo Maxwell! I am sure it was noisy!
Take care, enjoy your day!
Mornin’, Maxwell – Well, hopefully things are already back to normal, everybody’s out of their respective hiding spots and relaxing on the green bench or peering out the windows. And of course eating!
I remember the day we had to have a new roof put on our house. Ducky was an only dog at the time; but I don’t remember if it was during the eight months between Shadow and Radar, or the 16 months between Radar and Bogie. I just remember it was noisy as all get out and both of us hated it. Poor Sam didn’t mind it as much because his hearing was getting bad at that point. So, I definitely empathize with you kitties and your mom and dad! I’m sure Ducky would, too! ❤️🐾❤️
So glad the stars lined up to get the roof done with as minimal disruption as possible. Hopefully things will get to normal now.
We are thankful your roofing crew was able to get all the work done in a day. When our Mom and Dad lived in their other house, Dad and a friend reroofed that house and the Dad helped the friend do his. We now have the original slate roof on our 114-year-old house; though, it has had to have some repairs. We are also thankful you continue to have this hop. happy Thursday! I’m glad to hear your roofing job is done, Maxwell. Your ears look like they’re still checking for noises though.
We’re so happy to hear that th job is done, Maxwell. That’s the best news of the day as we were hoping that it all got fixed asap😻Silent Pawkisses for a Good Night to all of you🐾😽💞
So glad you were able to get it done!
We went through the process of getting a new roof a few years ago and didn’t like the days and days of noise either. And the mess they make is unbelievable. We couldn’t go out in the yard for several days afterwards until Mom was sure she had found all the roofing staples that had flown all over the place. She went over the entire yard and all the planting areas with a magnetic sweeper bar, raked & mowed a couple times, and even went over the entire yard inch-by-inch with a shop vac before she let us out.
I’m glad that noisy job is done at your house.
Oh, Maxwell, you are just so gorgeous! And I’m so happy for you that the noise is done! Enjoy the quiet!
Charlee: “Whew! No more noise? It’s safe to come out from under the couch?”
Oona: “That is exactly what Oona would be doing with her ears in this situation too, Maxwell. Oona approves!”
Those roof bangers are noisy for sure. You can’t hear yourself think. I’d love to have a tin roof! Maybe one day if we ever get our new forever home it’ll have one. :)
I’m thankful that we have a home period. I’m also thankful for doctor appointments getting checked off and a clean bill of health. I still have two more to go and maybe that’ll be it for the year.
Have a blessed afternoon!
Looking good Maxwell. Jeez that is an early start!
Epic news the roof is done, Maxwell! Now mew can snooze in peace, eat in harmonious silence and catnap at your convenience! MOL ✨😻🐾😻✨
