30 Replies to “25 Years ~ Always Remember”

  1. I remember exactly what I was doing when the second plane hit the second tower and I saw it happening on the television. We must never forget this horrible day. It should bring us together as a country.

  2. It was a scary day and still is. Mom lived in Germany at the time and could not believe the news on the radio when she turned on her car to drive home that afternoon, time change made it later in the day. Thank goodness for CNN so she could watch 24/7 as things unfolded but it was still impossible to grasp. Such a sad and tragic day.

  3. I remember that as well right now as though I was seeing it all over again. I happened to have been off for several days with no overtime. I was all happy and glad as I stood there at the deck door enjoying the sun drinking coffee. I was watching GMA; and I saw that plane headed right to the building and kept wondering why Dianne Sawyer etc. etc. said nothing! Then, it hit and they STILL didn’t say anything (obviously were not looking at their monitors then and had no idea!!). I had my oldest with me for that break I was having. Took him home and prepared to be called in. It was the bleakest week I have lived.

  4. Charlee: “We were not around for it, of course, but Mama and Dada remember it well. Dada was in a meeting in the room with the only television and somebody knocked on the door and said they needed the TV, and that was the end of the meeting, as well as any other work for the day.”

  5. Such a senseless tragedy. I remember afterwards how kind and considerate strangers were to one another, even while driving. We came together. Hard to believe it’s been so long ago. Thank you to all of our two and four-legged heroes.

  6. I will never forget. Ironically, the weather today is perfect….just as it was 25 years ago when the unthinkable happened. I have had the TV on all afternoon. I don’t usually do that on this anniversary but this year I felt I had to. (((hugs))) to all of you!

  7. 💙 25 years later, the memories are still vivid and the emotions still deep. September 11th changed so much, yet it also showed how people can come together in strength and compassion. Always remembered, never forgotten.

  8. Of course we will always remember because we can never forget. I can’t imagine a time unless I have a memory issue that I’ll say, “Hey, I just thought of that day in September when they flew the planes in the buildings.” It is the defining moment of our lives, like Pearl Harbor is the defining moment of our parents’ lives. Some things are unforgettable.
