Monday Watching with the Chipper

Hello everyone, it’s me The Chipper, and I’m here to tell you that, for the most part, we all enjoyed a weekend of quiet after all the noise we had around here lately. It was sure nice, but I have a feeling that there is going to be some more noise going on. Yep, but hopefully this time it won’t be nearly as bad. It looks like the Dad is getting ready to do some painting around the house. Well, not around the house so much as inside the house. None of us have any experience with paint and paint brushes but you can bet we will be there trying to help. Surely the Dad will welcome our help! Have a fun week everyone, I’ll see you soon.

  1. I can just picture all the tail tips that have paint on them when this project is over. I quit painting a decade ago and don’t think I’ll ever pick up a brush again so I wish good luck to your dad.

  2. You do look a bit apprehensive, Chipper. Don’t worry, painting isn’t very noisy, just disruptive! I’ll say good luck to your dad at keeping you all from “helping” him! 😆

  3. Hello Chipper, adorable photo. I am thankful for those quiet times.
Take care, enjoy your Monday! Have a wonderful week!

  4. Perhaps snoopervising from a safe distance would be your best job, and with 8 of you, you can take shifts so no one misses a nap! After all, paint in the fur is not a good thing at all.

    Happy Painting!

  5. You’re so cute. Looks like you’re doing many things we did last year. It has to be done. The kitties will do far better than you think.

Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to the kitties, a smooch to Simon and my very best to their peeps. ♥

  6. Charlee: “Wait, what? It’s possible to paint INSIDE a house? Has anyone informed our Mama and Dada of this? All the walls here are exactly the same color they were when they moved in 25 years ago, except for the master bathroom, and that’s because the master bathroom had to be rebuilt …”

  7. Wear your coveralls and don’t step in any paint! Of course, having little paw prints dashed around the house might be kind of cute. I’m not trying to plant any ideas in your head, just thinking out loud. But…maybe Mom and Dad can put down plain white paper for you to walk on with pain covered paws, then they can frame your creations! When we visited Grandfather Mountain last, DH bought me painting done by Logan, a male cougar. We had it framed, too. :) Have an awwwesome Monday!

  8. When Mom and Dad had woofies and were super poor, Mom was painting an unfinished wood dresser. One of the woofies got in the paint and left paw prints all over the sheets. It was the days before latex paints. We are getting ready to have the kitchen painted. We will be banished to the catio. Our mom used to do lots of the painting around here but not anymore. Painting is usually pretty quiet unless sanding is involved. Be good kitties and stay out of the way. 9. My girls have some experience with painting in the house, but not on walls!! There has been a time or two that I think they wanted to give it a try cause they have dipped my tail in the paint…lol. I think prob the best thing is, stay out of dads way.

  10. Your Dad is really spiffing up your home, dear little Chipper. It’s going to be so wonderful once he’s all finished and then he can relax with a bunch of you on his lap! Happy Monday.

  11. Mornin’, Chipper – Well, I’m sure Dad will have many little helpers. I wonder if there will be as much paint on the walls though as on his “little helpers!”

  12. Oh, I’m sure your dad will appreciate all the snoopervising you have to offer. lol Be well! And may I call you The Wood Chipper as I think your intense gaze could emboss wood? Oh, I crack myself up.

  13. Chipper, you look like the perfect supervisor for this project! I’m sure Dad will appreciate all the “help” you and the others provide, even if it means a few colorful paw prints here and there. Wishing you all a calm week and smooth painting ahead! 🐾
