Sister Sascha Update 4

60 Comments on Sister Sascha Update 4

Dad Terry here:  Sascha has been in the hospital since Thursday.  It seems like every time we get some positive news something else goes wrong for her.  On Thursday she had a high fever and fluid around the lungs, which has been removed daily.

On Thursday she had a bone marrow biopsy, yes, it could very well be leukemia.  The results from the biopsy will be back next week.  While she was sedated for the biopsy we had the dental xrays done.  She does have an abscessed tooth and the dental vet drained the abscess.  She still can’t have the dental due to the low white cell count.

As of this evening her temperature had returned to normal, she had ate some on her own and her respiratory rate was normal.  Continue purrs, prayers and POTP was most appreciated.

Lots of healing purrz. I still think the abscess is causing the fever and everything else. I understand the dental might innerduce more bacteria but the bacteria from the infection could kill her too. I hope draining it works. Humans have died from infected teeth that they don’t get treated. I feel so bad for her and for dad Terry and her mom who really want to do what’s best for her and are praying for her.

I too am hoping that now it was found this beautiful girl had an accessed tooth which makes horrible pain that as CK said, maybe now it is drained, our Sister Sascha will continue on an upward trend. Perhaps the infection caused the other trouble in her little body. Maybe it will be over. Love and prayers darling girl.

OK Marjorie here, I can tell you as someone who had an abscess on a tooth that draining that will make Sascha feel a whole LOT better. This is BIG PLUS even if you have to wait on further results OK? She will be able to spend time recovering now that pain is out of the way.

Sure going through the ringer. Hopefully not anything like the dreaded big C and the tooth can be yanked and she’ll soon be back home with thee.

  15. Memories of Eric and Flynn

I am continuing to pray for Sascha. I am glad she is doing a bit better since having the abscess drained. I hope the bone marrow biopsy discounts leukaemia. I still feel that it could be the infection causing the low leukocyte count and hope that once the infection is cleared up her count will be nearer to normal.
