Hey gang, I hope all y’all are doing okay, I am, at least so far MOL. Some of you noticed an oddity with our comment form and you end up doing extra work leaving another comment. You don’t have to do that, your comments will show up even if you don’t see them immediately. No, we don’t have comment moderation on. We did put this right up above the comment section but some of you didn’t notice it…
NOTE: For reasons unknown, your comments might not appear immediately, but they will appear. Sometimes it might take up to 15 minutes or so. Sorry about that.
Hopefully knowing that will help you out. Now then, about the home stuff. Quite a few of you guessed what was going on around here with all the stranger danger coming and going. Well, you probably wouldn’t have guessed the whole deal, but some of you got part of it right. Rumor has it that we are getting a new roof and new windows. Yikes, that’s gonna be noisy scary! That’s gonna be a lot of hiding! Now you know the rest of the story!
Oh, the Dad said to tell you that he has a lot of prep work to do before all the house things start. We will do our best to get around to visit you, but there may be times when we don’t make it.

A new roof and new windows! That’s quite a significant undertaking, with LOTS of stranger danger!
I guess I wasn’t the only one double posting. Ha! I see your red font now, though. 😁
WOWZERS – that will be a lot of noise but we’re sure you can manage that – you all can keep each other company while the noisy work goes on and soon you’ll have a brand new “outlook” (windows) and a safer roof. We will be doing a new roof and gutters but our windows are OK. All I can think about is the NOISE. LOL
Hugs, Teddy (and Mom)
Simon, I would imagine your blog gets very full if we silly people keep reposting our comment. Instead of looking like 50 visitors it’ll look like 150. Hope the house things get done okay. And all you kitties don’t miss it when it comes to quiet.
That is a lot of stuff. We got new carpet and that made for a rough couple of days. Good luck!
A new roof and windows…I hope you guys survive the noises.
A new roof and windows are great except for the noise and the people. :)
Simon, don’t worry. We saw it. Well, I did. Anyhoo, we need a new roof too. UGH!
WOW you are getting a new HOUSE…Are you leaving the walls haha? And Simon, those eyes will always get us right where it feels good!!!
Hello,
It was very loud when we had a new roof put on our house. I was glad when they were done.
Cute photo Simon! Take care, enjoy your day and the week ahead.
Wow, that’s some intense stranger danger stuff, Simon!
See you later, UTB.
You guys are more than welcome to come up here to Chicago and stay with us during all of that home repair noise going on. It is nice and quiet here with great air-conditioning but sadly, we don’t have a wonderful view like you guys have.
Whoah…we hope things don’t get too noisy at your place Simon!
Happy hiding!
xoxo,
Rosy & Sunny
Simon ~ you look peaceful on the bench despite the new events at your house ~ Hugs ^_^
Mornin’, Simon – Whew! A new roof and windows! Will you be helping Dad with the prep work?! Thanks for sharing, Simon.
I know all about all this work. We had new windows put in some years back. Last year was the roof, house painting and new gutters. It was noisy for a very long time. The kitties didn’t like it one bit.
I always love seeing Simon. I love all your kitties, but Simon is my favorite kitty.
I linked this post to Happy Tuesday.
Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to all the kitties, a smooch to Simon and my very best to their wonderful peeps. ♥
Simon, so much going on around your place! I’m sure everyone and everykitty will be busy!
Simon I say….you are most handsome every day but OMCs on my green bench….you make me swoon
Hugs Cecilia
A new roof and windows will be very noisy and scary but it’s necessary to keep you warm and dry and safe and you’ll be able to see more activity out your new windows, Simon!
Simon, thanks for the explanation on the frequent visitors. I heard we’re getting new windows this fall. The company is in the process of making them. We’ve already had sooo much work done around here last year and this year. We don’t mind it if the workers like us and talk to us and pet us! XOX Xena
No worries, Simon, people dropping by our blog have said the same thing happens on ours. Doggone WordPress. We hope your house work goes smoothly and the kitties aren’t too disrupted by the presence of strangers.
New windows sure means lots of strangers in all the rooms of your house. I’m sure you all will be sequestered to a safe place while the work is being done.
Stranger danger is right! Ugh! At least it will be quiet at night…
We had that new roof, windows, doors and so on done years ago, and the then critters here were not happy either…esp when they got locked up in a room while the intruders were here…and moved to another when they needed to be *that* room, LOL!
Thanks for letting us know. I’ve been having problems with people trying to comment and they can’t for some reason.
Oh my…that’s a lot!
Simon, a new roof and new windows?! Wow, we’re guessing that will be a little loud. But it’ll be so much better after it’s all done.
:D
Remember friends do not put expectations on friends, you visit if you can, and if you can’t, I will not mind a bit, it’s for a great cause, preserving your home. Enjoy the new roof and windows!
Stay safe and sane!
Good luck with the renovations
That’s a lot of work being done! Good luck ot you all.

Charlee: “Or, you know, hiding under sofas.”
Java Bean: “Sí, if that’s what you’re into …”
Oh, no…we hope they work fast and efficient, Simon, but especially fast😹Good Luck🍀Extra Pawkisses for all of you🐾😸💞
That’s a lot of Stranger Danger, but it will be so nice when it’s finished. Hopefully, you’ll all enjoy looking out of the new windows.
We hate when all the commotion starts of doing things to the house. Some of us were lucky not to be born when the addition was added to our house. Good luck.
