A NOT So Wordless Wednesday – Purrs for Maxwell from Kiki and Crew

See my claws stretched out. That’s a warning to anything unpleasant to stay away from my little brother Maxwell. But today I want to ask you all to put your paws together and send lots of purrs and prayers to our little Maxwell.

He is having some breathing issues, as in open mouth breathing. The Dad took him to the Vet and she heard a heart murmur that she hadn’t heard before. She did some images and there appears to be something unusual on a part of his heart.

Our Vet sent the x-rays to a Radiologist for a professional opinion. However, the Radiologist report was inconclusive. It could be anything from a serious deformity to nothing. So, a Cardiologist Vet will be doing an ultrasound relatively soon to hopefully find some answers. There is not a guarantee that he will survive the procedure if anesthesia is required. Please keep those purrs and prayers coming his way. We all love that little dude.

  1. Oh no! Poor Maxwell……I have a feeling and I hope it’s right that it’s not as dire as it sounds. We will certainly be praying and sending a lot of POTP his way.

  6. At the moment it sounds like very concerning news. I certainly hope Maxwell has nothing too serious on his tiny little body. Here you’ve managed to bring them in the house and get them used to living inside and this pops up. We’re definitely thinking of you all.

  8. Kiki, your paws look absolutely huge! We sure hope little sweet Maxwell will be alright. Poor little fellow, just getting started in life with such a wonderful home. He is lucky he is being cared for and we hope it is nothing serious.
